The conversation with Shani ca to a temporary end.

Kiriman turned his gaze to the little boy Alvin, feeling rather complicated inside.

This was truly an extraordinary individual.

Despite appearing only five or six years old now, he was the only descendant who could rival the Child of Destiny Ciri in terms of concentration of the Elder Blood.

A genius capable of physically traversing ti and space to return to the past, but due to mory loss and lack of guidance, ultimately walked down a misguided path.

The little boy Alvin most likely shared the sa ancestors as Ciri. Though it remained unclear how their bloodline had been passed down, in his generation, the Elder Blood had awakened.

In the original story, this little boy was the final boss and ultimate antagonist of the first ga.

Through patience and conspiracy, he beca the leader of the Order of the Flaming Rose, then supported the Salamander Gang in seizing the witcher mutation formula, transforming all his subordinates into witchers.

He ultimately launched a coup, attempting to seize control of the Terian kingdom and eliminate all non-human races within the country.

Alvin's goal was to ensure human survival in the coming apocalypse by any ans necessary—even through evil, cruel, and immoral actions he wouldn't hesitate to take.

Yet Alvin didn't know that the only one in the world capable of ending the White Frost apocalypse was Ciri, the Child of Destiny and true possessor of the Elder Blood's power.

Regarding this special little boy with unique powers, Kiriman hadn't yet decided how to handle him.

Of course, if possible, he also hoped to obtain this Elder Blood for himself, gaining the ability to traverse ti and space and travel between different worlds like Ciri.

This would significantly elevate his power ceiling, no longer confining him to a single world.

However, with this world's magic and thods, no way had been discovered to seize another's bloodline.

If such thods existed, many would have likely already attempted to use them on Ciri or other geniuses.

After all, ambitious people existed in countless numbers across any world.

After conversing with the mother and son, Kiriman finally reached a decision.

Though he couldn't obtain the Elder Blood's power for now, he couldn't allow it to fall into others' hands either—it needed proper protection.

Great power wasn't entirely a good thing; in the hands of those with weak spirits, it beca a tragedy that would cause more evil consequences.

Thus, he said to Caroline and Shani:

"Since Lady Caroline's hotown was struck by plague and she seeks work in Vizima."

"Here's my suggestion."

"Miss Shani has demanding work while researching plague antidotes, so she needs care. And you're raising little Alvin, making suitable work hard to find."

"Why don't I hire you as a caretaker to look after Miss Shani's daily needs?"

"This way, all three of you can live together."

"Moreover, you've probably noticed how ruthless the Salamander Gang mbers are."

"I've killed so many of them this ti—they'll certainly seek revenge afterwards."

"While they pose no threat to , they could endanger your safety."

"If all three of you live together, I can assist you more promptly."

Perhaps Kiriman was being too kind to them—so kind it felt sowhat abnormal.

Both Shani and Caroline looked sowhat uncomfortable, clearly puzzled.

As a woman in her thirties, Caroline would have suspected he was interested in her body and wanted to keep her, if not for his obvious greater interest in the young girl Shani nearby.

The witcher, being extrely perceptive, quickly noticed this and smiled faintly, offering a redy as he spoke:

"Of course, Lady Caroline."

"The caretaker compensation won't be substantial, and it's only temporary—just to help you settle comfortably in the city."

"Once I resolve the Salamander Gang issue, you'll need to find work yourselves."

Hearing this, Caroline and her son actually felt relieved.

Though she didn't mind repaying the handso man's kindness with her body, Caroline cared more about her foster son Alvin's situation and didn't want the child to feel embarrassed.

The red-haired girl Shani proved more understanding, imdiately guessing Kiriman had said this intentionally. She playfully winked at him with an utterly adorable smile, saying thoughtfully:

"This works well, Lady Caroline."

"It's too difficult for you to care for Alvin alone in the city. Living with ans I can help look after him too."

Touched by their kindness, Caroline didn't refuse. Holding Alvin's hand, she bowed deeply to Kiriman, expressing her gratitude once more.

The little boy Alvin also thanked the witcher sensibly, showing no signs of becoming the radical racist and mastermind villain he would be in the future.

After all, he was just a five-or-six-year-old child now. With proper guidance and education, he wouldn't necessarily beco a villain or criminal—a child's future was always shaped by adults and environnt. New ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄhapters are published on NoveIꜰire

After enjoying a reasonably good dinner, the group stayed overnight at the village inn before setting out for Vizima city.

Though the entire city was under martial law, Kiriman, Shani, and Lady Caroline all possessed passes for guarantee, making the entry process quite smooth without any incidents.

After entering the city, the group temporarily separated.

Shani gave Kiriman their address and invited him to join them for als when he had ti.

However, the dical student needed to report to the Terian temple nuns promptly. Without excessive formalities, she soon hurried away.

Caroline and Alvin also bid farewell to the witcher, preparing to go to Shani's ho to clean the rooms and fulfill her caretaker responsibilities.

Alone again, Kiriman didn't feel lonely. He chose not to stay in the crowded slums.

That was a choice only a poor guy like Geralt would make.

Though purchasing three expensive magical artifacts from Francesca had cost him a fortune of 8,500 Orens.

But calculating the rewards from hunting wyverns, eliminating monsters around Ammonite Village, plundering the Salamander Gang hideout, and the 400 Oren bounty just obtained from the fat rchant Radovid...

His storage space still contained a substantial wealth of over 3,500 Orens.

However he splurged, this fortune was enough for him to live as a wealthy man in Vizima for quite so ti, becoming the envy of many as a great rich man.

As planned, Kiriman didn't linger. After asking directions, he rode directly to Vizima's most luxurious and upscale establishnt.

The Night House—operated by the Night Queen, that legendary higher vampire, staffed entirely by female vampire courtesans.

This was the place he had long yearned for, the holy land he believed could rapidly accelerate his Soul Ascension progress.

Not staying for a week or two would truly be a waste.

The first thing after entering the city was naturally finding a high-end establishnt.

This was truly a man's choice.
