The night was as dark as ink, with the moon casting faint residual light.

The night wind was strong. On a small island, the lighthouse shone like the sun, guiding the ships on their long voyages.

The small houseboat swayed uncontrollably on the roaring waves, like a helpless leaf, ready to be swallowed by a giant wave at any mont.

"One hour, finally arrived."

Chen Qi docked the small houseboat, dropped the anchor, then firmly secured the boat to the shore with ropes.

Stepping off the shore, Chen Qi shook off water like a cat and looked around at the place in front of him.

The small island was very tiny, capable of holding at most ten houses. Nearly a quarter of the area was occupied by a lighthouse and a temporarily erected research tower.

Besides his small houseboat, many small vessels were moored around this island.

They were all fishern and adventurers exhausted from sailing. Night had fallen, and the wind was strong.

They dared not sail through the dark night, so they chose to stop on this island and spend the night temporarily.

Apart from the fishern, three people dressed in white uniforms stood beneath the lighthouse.

The pants of their uniforms were loose and comfortable, suitable for long hours of work at sea. Adjustable belts at the waist allowed the mbers to carry various marine research tools.

Such as walkie-talkies, spiritual energy detectors, and so on.

Compared to sailors, they looked more like fully equipped researchers.

At the sa ti, on the back of their clothes was a golden icon resembling a “WIFI” signal.

The Storm Hamr symbolizing order was the navy’s emblem.

The weather tower, symbolizing courage and exploration, was the emblem of the Beiguo teorological Bureau.

“People from the Beiguo teorological Bureau…”

Chen Qi watched the worried teorological personnel from afar.

This was the first ti he had seen people from the teorological Bureau.

Although called the teorological Bureau, their duties far exceeded simple “weather forecasting.”

Inside the bureau were the teorology departnt, the dinsional rift departnt, the investigation departnt, and the research departnt. These four major divisions were further subdivided into multiple smaller departnts, making it an extrely large organization.

Essentially, their responsibility was to detect dinsional rift information in the sea while investigating dangerous special zones.

The reason they were called the teorological Bureau was because, historically, the appearance of dinsional rifts was considered a special weather phenonon.

Also, under the directive of high-level leadership, to differentiate from the White Tower Federation’s investigation bureau, they retained the na teorological Bureau.

In the Witch Sea sector, the only major transcendent organizations for the Lamp affinity were the teorological Bureau and The Press.

Now The Press was stagnating and no longer recruiting new blood.

In other words, if Chen Qi chose the Lamp affinity path, this was the only major Lamp organization he could join.

Chen Qi thought for a mont.

If he didn’t have the Deep Sea Affinity talent, he would be a normal starter choosing the Lamp principle.

Perhaps his path would be to join the Beiguo teorological Bureau and beco a researcher venturing deep into dangerous sea areas.

But there was one advantage: as long as Chen Qi wanted, he could easily join the teorological Bureau now.

Moreover, although the bureau sounded like a high-end organization, their entry threshold was very low.

The investigation departnt, especially focused on field research, was always short of personnel and constantly recruiting.

They offered social insurance and housing funds, as well as compensation!

Also, their salary was rarely paid weekly!

No dreams required, you could co!

High school graduates fresh out with no skills could easily get hired!

Thinking of this, Chen Qi smiled bitterly.

If he didn’t choose to be a chef, under Beiguo’s official arrangents, he would very likely beco a mber of the teorological Bureau and join the sea investigation operations.

In the end, he would probably expose his Deep Sea Affinity during the sea research and quickly reach his ending one:

Caught by his beloved doctor, he would beco the doctor’s toy in bed.

Chen Qi stood on the small houseboat, pricked up his ears, listening to the teorological Bureau personnel’s conversation.

“Going out to sea tonight? The higher-ups issued a strict order. We must produce investigation results. The Blackfin Crew’s newly promoted cadre, Doctor Crow, has developed a miraculous potion.”

“Let’s talk later. The Blackfin Crew’s remnants on Sea Monster Island, plus the mysterious Flower Witch and monsters, are all currently unaccounted for. If we set out tonight, we might encounter that monster.”

“But during the day, the Deep Sea Titan might be more active, and at night, we might discover more research samples.”

The people of the Beiguo teorological Bureau sighed heavily.

With the dinsional tide, their workload grew heavier and heavier.

However, in contrast, their research progress was extrely slow.

Even at midnight, they were still discussing work.

Following their tired gazes, Chen Qi glanced toward the pitch-black sea in the distance.

Debris of ships drifted continuously in the wind, and waves surged again and again over the ocean.

Beneath the deep sea, one could vaguely feel enormous shadows, like writhing branches or giant arms lurking at the ocean floor.

Beneath the dark sea surface was the colossal Deep Sea Titan.

The Deep Sea Titan was known as a calamity of the sea.

Though extrely dangerous, very rare items often appeared near the Deep Sea Titan.

Therefore, this was a key area for the investigation departnt.

This was his next destination.

Chen Qi packed his belongings and prepared to start the operation!

This ti, his goal was to venture deep into the sea area where the Deep Sea Titan resided to seek transcendent materials and sea beasts suitable for cultivation.

But obviously, the small houseboat was unsuitable for venturing deeply into this sea area, or else it would likely et the sa fate as the shipwrecks.

At the sa ti, lighting a lamp was not suitable either, as it might be discovered by nearby fishern or researchers.

Chen Qi packed the kerosene lamp into his Backpack Card.

On the sea, there was a creature called the Shadow Demon, which was not a sea beast but a monster born from darkness that could extinguish others’ flas.

It was cunning, stealthy, and hard to detect, capable of snapping a person’s neck without warning.

Now, he had mastered the skills “White Pigeon Perception” and “Charm of Shadows,” so even if he encountered a Shadow Demon, he could sense it in advance and avoid disaster.

He could barely walk on the dark ocean now.

Moreover, even the Abyssal rchant would never dare casually enter the Deep Sea Titan’s territory.

Chen Qi quietly got off the boat, equipping Ember’s Touch.

Darkness concealed him!

A faint veil of pitch-black mist covered his body.

His breath, scent, and sound all vanished over the sea. Chen Qi entered stealth mode.

Under the weak moonlight, unless soone was very close, even the teorological bureau mbers skilled in detection would find it difficult to spot him.

The sea wind howled like a wail, striking the boats on the island.

Chen Qi prayed silently that, with the help of the water spirits, he could lightly step onto the sea surface.

Though the sea wind blew, relying on balance skills and clever water spirits, he barely managed to stand on the ocean.

The Water Walking skill had to be prioritized soon... Chen Qi thought to himself.

anwhile, Little Green Algae held Deepsea Water Spirit Number Two, diving underwater with only its green tentacle head visible, following Chen Qi.

“Hopefully luck is on my side, no Shadow Demons, no teorological Bureau people.”

Chen Qi’s heartbeat quickened.

After all, he was still a novice.

The ocean was extrely dangerous; encountering a Shadow Demon or teorological Bureau researchers would be terrible.

Maintaining vigilance, one person, one sea witch, and seven deepsea water spirits headed toward the pitch-black sea where the Deep Sea Titan resided.
