After finding out about the cards, it beca a lot easier to search for them. However, Linfel also noticed sothing during his research. The information regarding the cards seed to be suppressed in the Ventis Network. Unless you were looking specifically for it, you probably wouldn't just bump into it there.
That was most likely, so the various maguses and familiars wouldn't lose sight of their objective. In Linfel's opinion, it made a lot of sense. Those who still haven't massed the Magic Control Test should be focused on it instead of looking for those cards. As for the ones who had already passed, it was the right logical step to try to acquire one of those armors.
Linfel took out his MCOM, showing it to his group. "So, it took so ti, but it seems like we have three options. The first one is actually focused on research than anything else. The Jogtan Organization is in need of Maguses and Familiars to conduct so tests, and the rewards are Bronze Cards. One card every three months of contribution."
Alvin didn't like it. "Sounds like those Maguses and Familiar experints we decided to stay away from..."
"Exactly," Linfel nodded. "That's exactly what it is about. So, I guess none of you want to donate your bodies for this cause, right?"
Linfel heard no complaints there, so he continued into the second option. "The second way to acquire cards is in the monthly Magus and Familiar races."
"Races?" None of them expected that. "You an... just trying to see how is fastest and gaining cards if you win?"
"If it was just that simple..." Linfel shook his head as he said that. "These races obviously are quite dangerous. Simply put, you can attack any other participant, and you must not deviate from the path of the race during this ti. The path is made so that there is nowhere to hide either."
Milia sighed in response. "As always, the Ventis Sect tries to force its mbers into combat..." Of course, now she knew the real reason the sect did that, so she didn't complain.
Alvin looked at the information, seeing that there were various categories. However, there was no ntion of cards as rewards. "Are you sure? I can only see Ventis Credists as rewards."
Linfel faintly smiled and touched a hidden option there. Then, the reward list changed, now displaying the cards as well. "Is that what you were looking for?"
Alvin was taken aback and did the sa on his MCOM. Sure enough, the list was also updated for him. "The Ventis Sect truly went all out to hide the cards, didn't they?"
Zandel then looked at the categories. "Doesn't seem that complicated, though. Level Three Maguses and Familiars can only participate in Level Three Races. The sa goes for Level Four and Five. There doesn't seem to be races for Level Six and above, though."
"Why would there be races for Level Six and Above?" Linfel asked back. "Such high-level Maguses and Familiars would already be going into away missions outside the planet. I'm pretty sure they can also acquire Ventis Credits and Cards in this way. Make sure to keep all your Away Tokens."
"I also can't see Level Six Maguses and Familiars participating in those races to entertain the public," Nori pointed out to the rules. The races were transmitted in the Ventis Sect Network, and from the number of views, they were extrely popular. But, at the sa ti, it would be quite embarrassing to participate in such things at Level Six and above.
Alvin then looked at Linfel. "In the Level Three categories, there is a Master Familiar race as well. Linfel, what about we connect and participate. With your control over all elents and my Magic Energy, it should be fairly easy for us to win in this category, no?"
Linfel looked at him before pointing at the Level Three Familiar category. "I can also win on my own. You just want an easy path to win a few cards."
Alvin scratched the back of his head. "Well... is that wrong? I an, I'm an Earth Elent user. I have no speed whatsoever."
"There aren't only races," Linfel changed the page. "There are also monthly competitions for Strength, Endurance, etc. After everything I taught you, I believe you would do pretty well in the resilience departnt."
Alvin had to admit he was interested. Not only him but so did Milia, Zandel, and their Familiars.
Linfel could understand then, but he still had one last option to give. "Last but not least... we have another dungeon. Who could have imagined that, right? Hahaha!"
He continued. "From what I found out, we can't repeat the sa dungeon and acquire cards again. Even if we managed to reach the sixth floor back in the Fucoes Dungeon, nothing would be there for us to receive. Anyway, the other Dungeon that is relatively close to us is actually inside a Magic Beast Territory, the Ronl Mountain range. As for the Dungeon, it's the Crystal Caves, a labyrinthine system of caves adorned with luminescent crystals... or so says the description."
Zandel imdiately made his choice. "I want the Crystal Caves!"
"Eh?!" Alvin definitely didn't think Zandel would choose the Magic Beasts option. "Are you okay? Did you hit your head?"
Zandel glanced at him and shrugged. "I've seen you, Milia, and your Familiars. At Level Three, you guys truly have a very good chance of winning these monthly contests. However, I'm Level Four, and in the Ventis Sect, I'm not exactly that super talented. I would probably drown in the midfield. Since that's the case, I might as well take my chances with the Crystal Caves and see if I can get a card. At the very least, now I know I would be going there to look for them."
Linfel was happy to hear that. "In fact, the choice was made from the very start. We can take these contests later since the next ones will happen only three days prior to the Magic Control Test. anwhile, we must go to the Crystal Caves. Reason being, I want to see what you learned after these long ti of training here in the city. Show what you can do there."
Alvin and Milia looked at each other. "Yeah... we expected that."
