The banquet ended around ten but, so guests still remained to chat with the others. The quartet had ceased playing the music. They were packing up to return ho.

The guests with children had long gone, bringing their tired little ones along. They thanked Andrian and Harper for hosting them as they walked out from the grand doors.

"Thank you again, Chairman Xu and Mrs. Xu."

"Harper, let’s et for tea later. I’ll call you next ti."

"I’ll go first, Andrian. Ah, will you join the conference?"

More than half of the guests had gone ho, including the relatives from both sides. The ones who were left behind were mostly the younger ones.

So of them still surrounded Xander, Davin and Ryken while a few flocked to Evelyn. Irene clung to the young actress now.

As for Old Madam Xu, she had retired to her hotel room. Two of her close attendants escorted her to the floor.

Calliope and Alia were just the sa as the other children. The two cherubs were too sleepy by the ti their parents ca looking for them at the play area.

"Wanna sleep..."

"Mommy, Daddy..."

Calix and Vernon carried Calliope and Alia respectively, helpless smiles hanging on their lips. The two little dumplings leaned comfortably on their fathers’ chest, their eyelids closed.

"Seems like the party’s over. It’s bedti now," Calix comnted, resisting the urge to poke the sleepy Calliope’s chubby cheeks.

"Let’s go upstairs," Vernon glanced at Lucille who nodded slightly, "I can’t wait to lie down too."

The four adults gradually left the banquet hall. They t Andrian and Harper before leaving. The couple reminded them to take a decent rest before having breakfast together tomorrow.

Their walk to their suites was mostly quiet as all of them were tired from the banquet. Calix and Leslie wished good night to Vernon and Lucille when the couple reached their suite first.

"So tiring, en?" murmured Calix once he and Leslie walked inside their hotel suite. His voice was low, afraid of waking up Calliope, "Will you take a bath before bed?"

Leslie glanced at Calix, her lips curling into a smirk as she raised her brows, "Yes. Why, wanna join ?"

Leslie’s question, or rather an invitation, chased Calix’s sleepiness away. His eyes sparkled mirthfully, he quickly replied, "Oho? How can I say no ah?"

Letting out a helpless chuckle, Leslie playfully slapped Calix’s arm, only to earn a aningful smile from him.

The suite had an inner room, the one Calliope claid as hers once the family of three arrived at the hotel. Her belongings, including Mimo and other toys were already on the bed.

Calix put Calliope on the bed after carefully changing her out of the dress. An exhausted little dumpling almost slapped her papa’s face and arm a few tis when he put the nightgown on her.

Calliope rolled on her stomach, her cheeks puffing once she lay on the bed.

"Haa..."

Sighing, Calix covered Calliope with a blanket. He made a ntal note to be more careful with his daughter’s fists once she started taking martial arts classes.

Calix walked out from the inner room, his footsteps quiet. He unfastened the buttons of his charcoal gray jacket with the pastel pink piping, draping it on a chair.

Sweeping his gaze across the spacious suit, Calix called for Leslie, "Sweetheart?"

"Here."

His beloved’s voice ca from the walk-in closet. Calix turned around, heading to the wardrobe.

His deft fingers unfastened the buttons of his pastel pink shirt, slowly revealing his chest. He also pulled the lower part of the shirt, letting it free outside the confine of his belt.

Leslie sat opposite the vanity mirror, taking the hairpins from her updo. Her hair was gradually released from the pins, cascading behind her shoulders like a waterfall.

Standing behind Leslie, Calix reached for a strand of her hair, twirling it around his fingers. His gaze drifted from atop her head to her smiling countenance reflected in the mirror.

"Should I help you undress, my love?"

Calix’s voice, low and seductive, reached Leslie. She tilted up her chin, staring directly into her husband’s eyes, recognizing the familiar look in them.

"I won’t say no to my honey’s help."

Letting out throaty chuckles, Calix carefully lifted Leslie up, placing her on the vanity table. He wrapped one arm around her back, the other cupping her chin gently.

"Aren’t you tired, sweetheart?" Calix whispered, the warmth of his breath fanning Leslie’s face and neck, "I can take a rain check. Maybe, for tomorrow?"

Giggles bubbled up from Leslie’s lips, amused by Calix’s choice of words. Raising one hand, she placed the tip of her index finger on his lower lip.

"Shouldn’t I ask you the sa?" Leslie mused, her eyes glimring with delight as her voice carried a hint of teasing, "Aren’t you tired, honey?"

Leslie pressed her finger tip on Calix’s lower lip before slowly grazing her fingers on his jaw, moving down his neck until they settled on his exposed chest. She kept her eyes on his face, seeing the subtle shifts in his expression because of her light teasing.

"So," Leslie tilted her head, deliberately pressing one spot just below Calix’s collarbone, "Are you still tired, honey? Well, maybe we should just sleep."

"Not so soon, sweetheart."

Calix caught Leslie’s naughty hand on his chest, bringing it to his lips. She chuckled when he dropped slow and warm kisses on her knuckles.

"Seems like soone isn’t sleepy anymore," Leslie mused, her tone lacing with chuckles, "Well~ Shouldn’t we move to sowhere else?"

Calix imdiately thought of a certain dumpling sleeping in the inner room. Even though she usually slept like a log, it was better to be careful.

"We really should."

Leslie pressed her face on Calix’s chest when he scooped her up from the table, trying to muffle her laughing voice. The hem of her dress cascaded like rippling waves, fluttering as they left the walk-in closet.

They quickly disappeared inside the washroom.
