Both Leslie and Calliope marveled at the majestic sight of the island, earning amused chuckles from Calix. As the mother and daughter looked out the open windows, he quietly snapped a few photos of them.

The brilliant turquoise water and the unfolding breathtaking beauty caught their whole attention. The salty air passed through the open windows, fanning their faces and tousling their hair.

The executive vans cruised along the tarmac road after leaving the sandy ground. Lush tropical palms and pines lined the pathway, providing shades against the dazzling sunlight.

"Mama! The ocean is so pretty!" Calliope exclaid, she abruptly turned from Leslie to Calix, "Papa, look!"

"Yes, my buttercup. The ocean is pretty," Calix reached out a hand, gently patting the little one’s head, "We’ll play as much as we want later, okay?"

"Yay!"

Calliope didn’t think of anything else aside from having fun on the beach. She brought her cute swimsuits and several floating rings.

Aiya, if only her Little Aunt Irene could follow ah. They could play together!

Leslie extended an invitation to Irene but, the teenager declined the offer. Irene told the young lady that she had already promised her friends to go camping.

"We’ll arrive at the villa in five minutes," uttered Calix as he assud a relaxed posture on the car seat, "Do you see that building?"

Following Calix’s words, Leslie and Calliope stared far ahead of the moving van. The villa ca into view, nestling against the backdrop of white sand and lush greenery.

"How many staff work there?" Leslie shifted her eyes back to Calix, her curiosity was intrigued, "Do they stay on the island all the ti?"

The question popped into Leslie’s mind a few tis before but, she had never asked Calix until now. She couldn’t help but wonder about the arrangent because the Xu family rarely ca here.

"Not all the ti. The staff will co to clean the villa and take care of the island on their own schedule. The guards are here all the ti tho. They’ll take turns returning to the mainland."

Calix explained how the Xu family initially planned to make this stunning island into a tourist spot. In the end, they decided not to do anything else aside from making it their exclusive retreat.

Leslie could only smile, unable to fathom how deep the Xu family’s pockets were for possessing a beautiful private island like this one.

Well, she would just enjoy this trip ah.

Soon, the two vans pulled up under the roof of the front porch. Two more staff ca out of the villa to welco the entourage. The clock pointed to a little before eleven.

"Welco," greeted the staff warmly.

Calix introduced Leslie and Calliope to Mr. and Mrs. Fu. They were a husband and wife pair like Uncle Raymond and Aunt Wendy.

"It’s a pleasure to et you, Second Young Madam and Little Miss," Mrs. Fu’s countenance softened as she talked to Leslie and Calliope, "Hehe, we’ve been waiting to et you."

Mrs. Fu was among the people who were eager to et Leslie and Calliope. They were surprised to hear about Calix’s marriage and having a child but, all of them received the news with happy hearts.

"We’ll be in your care, Mrs. Fu, Mr. Fu," Leslie returned the middle-aged lady’s smile, "My legal na is Charlene but, you may call Leslie."

"Hello, Aunty and Uncle Fu," Calliope bowed at the husband and wife, "My na is Calliope. Poppy."

"Our new young madam and little miss are so well-mannered," Mrs. Fu chuckled, pleased to see how easygoing their second young master’s wife and daughter were, "Co inside. You should get so rest before going out."

The family of three and everyone else retreated to their respective rooms. Calix led Leslie to the third floor.

The husband and wife occupied a chamber facing the beach while their daughter was in the room next door. The little dumpling was happy with her room at the villa.

Calix pulled the curtains apart before opening the French doors, letting the salty breeze flow inside the room. His figure was backlit by the sun.

Leslie stood up from her wheelchair, using her cane to head to the balcony. Her usually slow steps beca quicker due to her rush of excitent.

Glancing behind his shoulder, Calix smiled at the sight of Leslie’s sparkling eyes, mirroring the shimring ocean ahead. He grabbed her waist, nestling their bodies closer.

"Will you nap?" asked Calix, his tone low and carrying a hint of seduction, "Or, should we go and soak in the sea?"

Leslie’s cheeks were tinted with a lovely shade of pink. The heat of Calix’s body seeped under her skin, reminding her of how intimate their posture was right now.

"Are you that eager to show off your body, en?" Leslie arched her brows, putting on a brave front, "Your intention is so obvious ah."

"Hahaha!"

Bursting out laughing, Calix’s chest rumbled from the vibration. Leslie’s face was splashed with another shade of red.

Calix tilted his head with a flirty smile hanging on his lips. Lifting his hand, he slowly traced his finger on Leslie’s lower lip. He smirked as he saw how much she resembled a ripe strawberry now.

"It’s good that you’re aware," Calix purred, his breath fanning Leslie’s face, "My sweet wife, you should expect more romantic monts with your dear husband during our trip."

Leslie blinked, her voice lacing with haze as she asked, "...are you planning for a surprise or sothing?"

Knowing Calix, the probability was high. Leslie still rembered the romantic surprises he arranged for her back in Ro and when he confessed his feelings at the rose garden before.

Arching his brows, Calix whispered above Leslie’s mouth. His last words lingered in her ears as he captured her lips with his own.

"Please anticipate it, my love."

Leslie couldn’t help but feel her feet soften as the kiss intensified. If Calix didn’t hold her waist, her already weakened legs might fail her.

Aaaa! She would lt into a puddle ah!
