After he left, Scarlett curled up on his little bed, opened the laptop, and picked out a disaster movie that interested her. She checked the running ti—one hour and twenty minutes. By the ti she finished it, Matthew Saxon should be done with his eting no matter what.
The movie told a story about a volcanic eruption, with the protagonist trying to escape one danger after another with his wife and two sons.
The special effects were very realistic. At first, Scarlett only wanted to kill so boring ti, but as she watched, she was drawn into the plot, her mood rising and falling like she was on a roller coaster, following the protagonist up and down.
Just as she was really getting into it, suddenly, faint sounds of what seed like an argunt drifted in from outside.
"...Miss... the President really is in a eting, he’s not in his office, you..."
"Move aside, why is it that I..."
"You can’t do this... Miss... you can’t go in... the President gave instructions..."
Bang—
The office door was pushed open by soone, and pushed inward with quite so force.
The door banged against the doorstop at the corner of the wall, making a loud noise.

Scarlett heard a very familiar voice.
Right at the mont the office door was pushed open, that voice rang out as well: "Since he’s in a eting, I’ll just wait for him here then."

So that voice ca into her ears very clearly and loudly.
"You can’t, Miss Green. The President said that without his permission, no one is allowed in." As Matthew Saxon’s secretary, Lena Ayles was supposed to go to the eting with him, so the one speaking now should be Lena Ayles’s junior assistant.
And the person who ignored the junior assistant’s dissuasion and forced her way into the office was Alice Green, whom Scarlett had not seen for a long ti.
The junior assistant’s attempt to stop her seed to make Alice Green furious. She snapped at the assistant, yelling angrily, "Am I just so random person? I can co and go in Matthew’s office as I please, you didn’t know that?"
"I’m very sorry, Miss Green. I don’t know if you could co and go as you pleased before, but right now you really can’t stay here. If you want to wait for the President, I suggest Miss Green could go downstairs..."

The junior assistant hadn’t even finished speaking when a slap landed on her face.
The slap was delivered without the slightest restraint, coming down hard directly across the junior assistant’s face.
The junior assistant hadn’t expected Alice Green to actually hit her. After taking the slap, she stood there stunned for four or five seconds, then suddenly burst into tears.
"Miss Green, how can you hit people?" The junior assistant cried her heart out, aggrievedly protesting.
Alice Green let out a cold laugh. "I hit you because you’re a blind little thing. You’ve only been at Seymour for a few days and you’re already waving chicken feathers like they’re an imperial edict. I’ve lost count of how many tis I’ve co to Matthew’s office, and you actually dare to block ."
The junior assistant probably had never been hit like that before, and kept crying in grievance, repeating the sa sentence over and over: "Miss Green, how can you hit people."

The sound of high heels fell on the floor, crisp and sowhat jarring.
But compared with Alice Green’s laughter, the sound of the heels didn’t seem so harsh anymore.
It actually turned out to be Alice Green, it really was Alice Green.
What was she doing coming to see Matthew Saxon again? How did she even have the nerve to co looking for Matthew?
