Matthew Saxon was lying in the hot spring with his eyes closed for a rest. Just shortly after closing his eyes, he heard Scarlett Yates’ terrified scream coming from the other side.
In such a quiet setting, the sudden scream was particularly attention-grabbing.
"It’s Scarlett’s voice." As the scream echoed, all traces of drowsiness disappeared from Matthew Saxon. He opened his eyes, jumped up from the water with a splash, and ran toward Scarlett Yates’s bath with water dripping all over him.

From the crack beneath the door, her suppressed sobbing leaked out, each sob making Matthew Saxon more anxious and worried.
Not knowing the situation inside and driven by urgency, he couldn’t afford to think much. He stepped back a couple of steps and forcefully kicked the door, breaking the lock with sheer force.
