Chapter 875: Chapter 875: Not Soone You Can Covet

At the mont May Denton and Uncle Thompson appeared, Scarlett Yates knew she was in for a rough day.

The maid was so frightened by the situation that she didn’t dare to breathe.

Although the Young Master dearly treasured Miss Yates, it was the Madam who took action this ti.

Everyone knew how filial the Young Master was to his mother; if she wanted to teach soone a lesson, who would dare stop her?

"What are you standing around for? Get out." May Denton’s sharp gaze fell upon the maid, who frowned and reprimanded her.

The maid, trembling with fear, lowered her head even further and quickly exited the room.

At the doorway, May’s icy voice rang out again: "If anyone dares secretly inform Maxwell, I’ll skin them alive."

The maid shook even more violently, stamring repeatedly that she wouldn’t dare.

The slap left Scarlett Yates dizzy and with ringing in her ears, and it took several seconds for her blurred vision to clear.

Even though Uncle Thompson had stopped May from hitting her again, her gaze remained fiercely fixed on Scarlett, her alluring almond eyes glinting coldly.

"You’re right, business cos first."

May gradually suppressed her anger, her crimson lips curling into a smile filled with sinister chill: "Maxwell must not be ruined by this little bitch."

"What do you want?" Scarlett Yates, covering her reddened face, licked the bloodstain at her lip and slowly lifted her head.

She didn’t look at May Denton but instead focused her gaze on Uncle Thompson’s face.

Looking at Uncle Thompson’s urbane and mature face, Scarlett’s lips curled into a slight mocking smile.

She still rembered the first ti she saw Uncle Thompson; he was dressed in a suit, politely asking if she needed help. At that ti, she’d had a favorable impression of this middle-aged man.

Back then, Uncle Thompson wasn’t hostile toward her, which was why he was polite and gentlemanly.

But now it was different; he believed she was deliberately seducing Maxwell Saxon, certain she was a fem fatale who would jeopardize his Young Master’s grand ambitions.

Uncle Thompson was exceedingly loyal to Maxwell Saxon.

Whatever or whoever threatened his Young Master, he would eliminate.

For instance, she, a woman with ulterior motives, could not remain by Maxwell’s side.

But Scarlett was well aware that even if they wouldn’t let her stay by Maxwell’s side, it would never be as simple as letting her go—they might think of so permanent solution.

For instance, killing her.

As she pondered this, a chill surged up from her feet, causing her to shiver involuntarily.

Since Uncle Thompson had brought her to May Denton, he must have already considered what a miserable fate awaited her. She hadn’t expected Uncle Thompson’s heart could be so ruthless.

Under Scarlett’s scornful and angry stare, Uncle Thompson’s expression remained unfazed.

Having navigated the business world for years, he encountered all sorts of people and situations; he wouldn’t be affected by a re glance or curse from soone else.

He gazed steadily at Scarlett Yates, speaking calmly, "Miss Yates, I know you hate , many people do. Your hatred ans nothing to ; you only have yourself to bla for provoking soone you shouldn’t have. A man like the Young Master is not soone you can covet."

The so-called reversal of black and white was just that.

Scarlett couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh: "Uncle Thompson, was it truly

provoking him, or is it him clinging to ? Only you know clearly in your heart."
