Chapter 1002: Chapter 1002: Who Is That Man?
Stella Nelson isn’t the type of woman who falls in love easily.
Her willingness to go to any lengths to have the child implies she’s deeply in love with that man.
Who could it be, with such charm, that made her sacrifice so much?
"Stella, tell , who is that man?"
Scarlett Yates had a vague suspicion, but she thought it impossible.
Because, in her heart, that man was a gentleman, soone so upright that it seed unlikely he’d have a secret lover.
Stella Nelson bit her lip, hesitating despite the circumstances.
Scarlett Yates grew anxious, frowning, "Is it that you can’t even tell , given our relationship? Are you trying to drive
crazy?"
"Scarlett, he... you know him too." It seed Stella Nelson made a big decision, and after a long pause, she slowly revealed the man’s na, "He’s the director of Saint rcy Hospital, Hayes Simmons."
Though her suspicion was confird, Scarlett Yates was still thoroughly shocked.
It really was Hayes Simmons.
The man she’d just suspected was Hayes Simmons too.
Why did Scarlett Yates think of this man? She suddenly rembered when Matthew Saxon once ntioned to Stella Nelson that Hayes Simmons was getting engaged, and Stella Nelson had an odd reaction.
At the ti, she found it a bit strange but didn’t dwell on it.
"Stella, Hayes Simmons is already engaged. He’s going to marry the woman he’s engaged to." Recovering slowly from her shock, Scarlett Yates said earnestly, "You’re still young, and you’ll et a great guy in the future, this child..."
"Scarlett, I know what you’re trying to say, but I’ve already decided, I’m going to keep this child." Stella Nelson interrupted, with tears still glistening in her eyes but a firm gaze, "I understand well that love is sothing you can only give your all to once in a lifeti. Maybe I’ll et soone great in the future, but I won’t ever love any man as I love Hayes Simmons."
"This child is the best testant to that relationship, and I’m going to have him. I’ll love him well and raise him up."
"My biggest worry now isn’t whether or not to keep the child, but how to get my closest people to accept him."
"If Dad and Mom find out about the child’s origin, they definitely won’t let
keep him. They’d be furious, Scarlett, can you help
think of a way?"
Once Stella Nelson sets her mind to sothing, advice won’t change her stance.
Sotis, whether it’s worth it or not, no one else can decide but the person involved.
Scarlett Yates knew she couldn’t persuade Stella Nelson, so helplessly decided to help her figure it out.
Stella Nelson’s decision was undeniably bold; if it were Scarlett, she probably wouldn’t have the courage.
"Stella, does he know about this?" Scarlett Yates sighed deeply, asking her with a mix of pity and helplessness.
Choosing to be a single mother is a tough road.
Opposition from family, gossip from those around, and various external judgnts—these alone are more than most people can bear.
Stella Nelson shook her head, cried for a bit, and seed to feel better. She wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and gave a bitter smile, "I won’t let him know. I promised to let him get married peacefully."
