Mu Yuehan was checking if the dishes were presented and served properly or not when suddenly, his heart rate picked up.
Instinctively, he turned his head. He looked at the staircase, and there, his princess was stepping down the stairs in the gown which he had selected for her. He knew she would look beautiful in it but never thought she would look so srizing. His heart thumped hard in his chest. A grin appeared on his lips.
She again took his breath away. He felt lucky to be the man of this beauty.
Not only Mu Yuehan, but many guests were looking at Nian Tian. Her presence was no less than a queen. With her back straight like a rode, a unique aura around her, and a small smile on her lips, she looked no less than a beloved queen.
Mu Yuehan looked around. He saw many n looking at his girl. He groaned and walked toward the staircase. He gave his hand to her which she accepted. He gripped it tightly in possessiveness. He then wrapped another arm around her waist, declaring his possession.
Nian Tian looked around, feeling nostalgic. It felt like, centuries had passed, since she had last attended such a high-class party, forget about the high-class party, she had not even attended a party after leaving Shanghai.
Before leaving Shanghai for good, she was a party bee, with a circle of rich heiress as her friends. She had attended countless parties in the past. She enjoyed them; getting drunk, flirting with one or another man, cracking high-value deals, and making others jealous was her flair.
She was famous for stealing the attention at the party whichever she attended. Today again, when she was standing at the party, she felt those lost forgotten feelings.
She felt cold daggers of females at herself as well as the lustful gazes of horny n. She used to enjoy that but not today.
"You are looking lovely tonight." Mu Yuehan whispered in her ears and stood in front of her. His one hand was securely placed on the small of her back.
"Do you an, I don't look lovely on normal days?" she narrowed her eyes playfully.
"I don't an that it's just…" he gave her a boyish smile. "I like it when girls wear skirts or anything girly."
"Oh." She smiled. She was about to tease him more when a waiter ca in their direction with a tray full of drinks.
"Miss, have so drink." The waiter was about to pick a glass and serve it to her when Mu Yuehan beat him to it. He picked up a glass and gave it to Nian Tian.
"You must be thirsty. Have so drink."
Nian Tian nodded her head. She started to take slow sips, enjoying the taste of familiar red wine. Again, it felt like centuries since she had last drank alcohol.
From the corner of his eyes, Mu Yuehan noticed the changing expression on the face of the waiter. He awkwardly pulled back the glass in his extended hand.
Mu Yuehan smirked.
"Let introduce you to Yuehan."
Mu Yuehan pulled her toward where Zhan Wei was standing.
Zhan Wei's eyes glittered teasingly when he saw Mu Yuehan walking toward him, with his arm securely placed on the back of Nian Tian.
"Ah, ah, ah, I see, soone is on full possessive mode today." He teased and then extended his hand towards Nian Tian for a shake. "And you must be my future sister-in-law."
Shocked, Nian Tian looked at him with wide eyes. She quickly corrected him. "We are still at the initial stage. I don't know if I will be your…."
"The way this man talks, and the way he does his work, I know, you will be my sister-in-law, you want it or not." He cut her off. "Now, will you shake my hand? It will not look good if I retrieve my hand back without a shake."
"Ah sorry." Nian Tian gave him a silly smile and shook his hand. "I have heard so much about you, Mu Yuehan. Also, thanks for lending him your car and yacht. Also, thanks for getting information about grandpa."
Standing aside, Mu Yuehan felt jealous and wronged. He was the one who did all these things but it was Zhan Wei getting all her thanks. Zhan Wei also looked in his direction with a teasing smile, well aware of what was going on in the mind of his friend.
"Ah, no worries. It was my duty as a friend. Moreover, now you are my sister." Zhan Wei smiled and Nian Tian grinned. She was feeling warm in her heart when he called her sister with true feelings and no hidden intention.
Soon enough, they were talking like close friends, like long-lost brother and sister. They talked about the business, and parties and gossiped about Mu Yuehan.
Mu Yuehan felt vinegar in his mouth, seeing their closeness. It took him so long to get her eyes and look at the way she beca so intimate with Zhan Wei in re seconds.
"That's enough." Mu Yuehan wrapped his arm around Nian Tian's waist and pulled her to his chest. A small pout was there on his lips. "Don't tell , you are planning to change your boyfriend after eting Yuehan."
"Are you jealous?" Nian Tian teased.
"Yes, I am jealous." He confessed without beating around the bushes. "Why shouldn't I be when I know you are so beautiful, and there are many n out there, all ready to snatch you from ?"
Nian Tian and Zhan Wei both chuckled, hearing his possessiveness-filled words. Zhan Wei was happy. He never thought of seeing this lover boy side of his friend.
Mu Yuehan looked at Zhan Wei and glared at him. He then asked him the question which he wanted to ask for a long ti. "Tell , how do we look like a couple?"
He placed his head on the shoulder of Nian Tian and looked at Zhan Wei with expectation-filled eyes.
Zhan Wei observed them and then gave a truthful opinion. "You look perfect. A handso man and a beautiful lady."
Nian Tian blushed and ducked her face down in shyness.
Soon enough, the wedding march started to play. They all averted their attention toward the gates from where the bride and bridegroom entered the hall.
