After leaving the Japanese restaurant, Zhou Liying decided to visit the mall to do so shopping. She wanted to buy so day-to-day stuff, also a gift for Qin Yanze.
She did not know for how long he was going to stay with her, but before sending him off, she wanted to give him a gift out of gratitude to him.
"Min Yue, did you find sothing?" Zhou Liying asked while looking around the gift shop.
Mu Yuehan had brought her to the biggest gift shop in the city with an assurance that she'd find a gift here, as per her need. Now, she was rounding around in the shop, in search of an apt gift.
A soft smile appeared on her lips when she saw gifts for kids; drawing books, various varieties of colours, board gas and many things more. They refreshed her beautiful mories as a child.
"Why don't we gift him a family photo?" Min Yue suggested but Zhou Liying shook her head.
"Instead of giving him happiness, the family photo will act as salt on his wounds." Zhou Liying said and ran her fingers on the wind chi.
She was casually looking around when Mu Yuehan made his suggestion, "Miss, what about this calligraphy painting from the eighteenth century? From my experience, many old people like to have a collection of calligraphic paintings."
Zhou Liying walked behind and looked at the frad painting that Mu Yuehan was pointing at. She rembered; that her grandfather had a habit of collecting calligraphic paintings like this. In his words, 'collecting old paintings was a craze of rich people. A way of bragging their wealth.'
She looked at the classic painting, she did not have much knowledge about it but she had seen a sowhat similar calligraphy painting with her grandpa. The lines written were also apt as a gift to him.
'You are the best person in the world. I am nothing without you.'
"You are quite thoughtful, Hanhan." Zhou Liying praised him. "We are buying this painting. Pack this up." She ordered the staff.
"Thank you, miss." Mu Yuehan smirked. If only she knew, that he had read many blogs on the internet and many books, to learn what gift should be given to a person, only to impress Zhou Liying with his thoughtfulness.
Today, those books simply ca in handy!
Staff went toward the billing counter with the painting. She was feeling excited because of the commission which she was going to get at the sale of this said painting. It was one of the rare paintings and was also quite expensive.
She was about to bill the painting when two ladies entered the gift shop. One of the ladies looked at the painting and decided to buy it, without caring that soone had already purchased it.
"I am buying this painting."
"Sorry Miss, but this painting is already sold. Please find yourself another gift." The saleslady looked at her arriving custors with a sorry expression on her face.
"Have you billed it? No right. So, it's still the property of your shop. Your other custor can buy another gift. I am buying this painting and that's final. Don't forget who I am?" the lady spoke quite arrogantly.
She was a regular visitor to the shop. She had bought many gifts before, so she knew, the staff would not send her empty-handed.
"Excuse , what if it's not billed? My miss saw it first and had already bought you. You should go and search for another gift." Min Yue spoke arrogantly and glared at the lady.
"How dare of you to use that voice at ? Do you know who I am? Don't try to fight . Let take this painting, otherwise, no one will be worse than ." The lady nad Lin Yue narrowed her eyes and looked at Min Yue.
"You dared to warn ?" Min Yue scoffed. "Let tell you, my miss is no less."
The staff lady looked at Lin Yue and then at Min Yue. She knew Lin Yue, so obviously, she supported her.
"Miss Lin is right. This painting is still the property of this shop. It's onto to whom to sell this." Saleslady said.
Lin Yue scoffed with pride. Min Yue narrowed her eyes. "How can you do this? Do you have any business ethics? Don't you know how to make new custors?"
The saleslady ignored Min Yue and was about to bill the painting for Lin Yue when Zhou Liying arrived at the spot. Her eyes narrowed when she saw Lin Yue.
"What's happening here?" she asked with authority. "And why isn't my painting billed till now?"
"Qin Tian, is that you? So, rumours were not false that you are back. Tsk, Tsk, tsk, so shaless. I thought after that party, you will not be able to show your face to society, but here you are." Lin Yue mocked. Zhou Liying glared at her.
"Excuse . Do I know you?" Zhou Liying looked at her with cold eyes and then looked at the saleslady. "Are you planning to sell my purchase to soone else? I am buying this and that's final."
"She is an old custor. So, she is my first priority." Saleslady inford without any hitch.
Lin Yue noted the cold behaviour of Zhou Liying toward herself. She walked toward her with attitude.
"Do you think you can buy a gift on which I have set my eyes on?" Lin Yue looked at her with pride. "This painting is mine. Let see how will you snatch it from ."
"You will not only see getting this painting Miss Lin but you will also find yourself being thrown out of the shop." Zhou Liying challenged and glared at Lin Yue.
She'd not have bought this painting if there was soone else instead of Lin Yue. But now, Zhou Liying wanted to buy this painting at all cost, only to mortify Lin Yue.
She wanted to show off her powers to Lin Yue. She wanted to show her that Zhou Liying never lost. She still was the queen. So, what if she was returning to Shanghai after a long ti?
Queen always remain queen!
