Looking at the ruffian with yellow hair in front of her, Qin Wanru imdiately recognized him.

This guy was clearly no good.

It was obvious that he was soone with malicious intent to "bump porcelain."

Since that was the case, she naturally would not indulge him, so she said with an unfriendly expression, "There’s no need to be so arrogant. You’re just a scamr, what are you so proud of? Based on your behavior, I can report you to the authorities."

After hearing her words, the yellow-haired guy grinned, shook his head, and said, "Tsk tsk! Accusing of ’bump porcelain’? Hehe..."

After laughing, the yellow-haired guy looked around.

Seeing that there were no more onlookers around and the spectators had left, he stopped pretending.

"Yeah! You’re right, I am a scamr, so what? Hehe! This box isn’t worth anything, not even a little bit. I’m just trying to swindle him, so what? If he’s willing to compensate , he’s the fool, heh heh! What business is it of yours?"

The arrogance of the yellow-haired guy directly upset Qin Wanru.

Her face turned extrely displeased as she stared at the man in front of her, clearly furious, "You’re too arrogant. Let tell you, if you don’t return the money to Liu Zheng right now, I’ll report you to the authorities imdiately."

"Hehe! Report to the authorities? Go ahead and do it. What can that do?"

Qin Wanru’s words did not scare the yellow-haired guy; instead, they made him even more arrogant. He snorted coldly and said, "What good would reporting to the authorities do? Let tell you, at the mont, I was just walking along holding the box when he ca speeding over on his electric tricycle and damaged my box."

"Or let’s say, I got scared by him, my hand loosened, and then the box fell to the ground, and so it’s completely ruined. Hehe... Even if soone from the authorities ca, they couldn’t do anything about this matter. Accuse of ’bump porcelain,’ do you have evidence?"

"You, you..."

Qin Wanru was really angered, her face turning pale.

"Wan Ru, you don’t need to argue with him or get angry,"

Picking up the box and walking back, Liu Zheng at this ti stopped Qin Wanru, not letting her continue to get upset with the yellow-haired guy.

But.

Qin Wanru still couldn’t get over the frustration in her heart. She looked at Liu Zheng and said, "Liu Zheng, under the current circumstances, he’s obviously scamming, so how could you agree to giving him ten thousand yuan?"

Seeing Qin Wanru so angry, Liu Zheng patted the box in front of him and said, "Don’t be angry. No need to be upset. As for this thing... I don’t consider it a scam."

"What? What did you say?"

After hearing Liu Zheng’s words, Qin Wanru simply couldn’t believe her ears.

She looked at Liu Zheng in front of her, feeling that he was acting a bit abnormal.

The yellow-haired guy beside them, hearing Liu Zheng’s words just now, also burst into laughter.

"Hahaha... Miss Qin, it wasn’t who said it, right? He himself said I wasn’t scamming, so tell , what else can I say? Hehehe... Idiot, he really is a big idiot..."

Hearing the words of the yellow-haired guy, Qin Wanru couldn’t help but stamp her foot fiercely.

She felt extrely frustrated and annoyed inside.

She had been trying to defend Liu Zheng’s cause, and yet he had just wasted her good intentions with a single sentence.

She could have helped him get justice, but now that he himself said the other party wasn’t scamming, what was she to do?

It felt as though she was ddling in affairs that didn’t concern her, putting in effort with no appreciation in return.

Extrely annoyed, Qin Wanru turned around and started walking towards Renxin Hall.

She was really furious inside, so she didn’t intend to continue dealing with Liu Zheng.

Only.

She had only taken two steps when Liu Zheng grabbed her wrist.

Then she was pulled back by Liu Zheng.

"What are you doing?"

Turning around angrily, Qin Wanru glared at Liu Zheng who was holding onto her.

Seeing that Qin Wanru was really anxious and full of rage, Liu Zheng couldn’t help but smile and said, "Don’t be in such a hurry to leave! Wait until I’ve returned the money to you."

"You’re talking about returning my money?"

Hearing Liu Zheng’s words, Qin Wanru burst into laughter in exasperation.

She shook her head and said, "You’re not telling that you plan to pawn off this broken box as paynt for the ten thousand yuan, are you?"

Seeing that she questioned his words, Liu Zheng shook his head with a sigh and replied, "That’s not what I ant. What I plan to do is..."

While speaking, he gestured towards an antique shop next to Renxin Hall and added, "I plan to sell this box there, and then I’ll have the money to pay you back."

"What? Just by selling this box, you’ll have enough to repay ?"

Hearing such boastful words, Qin Wanru truly started to doubt his credibility.

"This box of yours, even if it hadn’t been broken, probably wouldn’t fetch that price — let alone now. Besides, if I were to use it at Renxin Hall, I’d find it too small and impractical for preparing dicine."

At this point, Qin Wanru was genuinely infuriated.

She thought that Liu Zheng must have a screw loose, or perhaps, he was just spineless, too afraid of the current situation with Huang Maobin and therefore dared not to stand up to him, even knowing it was a scam.

She rolled her eyes at Liu Zheng, feeling a distinct discomfort in her heart.

anwhile, Huang Maobin burst into laughter, waving his hand dismissively and saying, "Tsk, tsk, tsk! Off you go, hurry up! Maybe the people at the antique shop will take pity on you and just give you a hundred and eighty yuan."

Without a word, Liu Zheng remained silent at that mont.

He simply held the broken piece and gently lifted the lid of the box.

As the lid was pried open, Liu Zheng pressed the detached piece of wood into the box’s interior.

Several onlookers were within range and found Liu Zheng’s actions rather peculiar, so they all peered towards his hands.

"Click!"

A crisp sound accompanied by a distinct action made everyone present pause in surprise.

Because the piece that had fallen off was now being pressed by Liu Zheng directly onto the original piece of wood.

The scene was sowhat startling and confusing.

Both Qin Wanru and Huang Maobin watched intently, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"This box isn’t broken. The supposedly fallen-off part is actually a secret compartnt, and attaching it requires skill and precision that, without my guidance, you surely would not manage to fit together. It is precisely because the average person can’t do it that they assu it’s broken," Liu Zheng explained.

Huang Maobin’s facial muscles twitched a few tis.

He truly didn’t know there was a secret compartnt in the box.

But he didn’t want to admit his ignorance, so he laughed coldly, "So what if there’s a secret compartnt? Secret or not, sothing that’s supposed to be broken is still broken."

As he spoke, his face bore a smile full of scorn.

Liu Zheng couldn’t care less about Huang Maobin’s reaction; he turned and walked towards the antique shop.

Seeing him walk away, Qin Wanru, feeling sowhat unsure yet curious, followed right behind him.

Soon, Liu Zheng entered the antique shop.

His arrival caught the shop owner by surprise, but after a fleeting glance, the owner welcod him with a smile.

"Young man, what are you looking to buy?"

Antique shops usually don’t get many visitors, as not everyone is into such things.

Gold is prized in tis of chaos; antiques in tis of peace.

But even in peaceful tis, it’s the wealthy who partake in antiques.

Poor people can’t afford such luxuries.

Since Liu Zheng had co in, the owner naturally wanted to see if he could make a sizable profit off him.

However.

"Boss, I’m not here to buy, I’ve co to sell. Do you buy antiques here?"

Upon hearing that he wanted to sell, the owner’s eyes flickered and he nodded imdiately, responding, "We do, of course we do. What do you have to sell?"
