"Village Chief Yang, while you still have so energy, hurry up and get your illness checked out. Otherwise, you’ll regret it later when it’s too late."

"Liu Zheng, you wait for , just you wait!"

He didn’t offer much of an explanation and didn’t give any direct response, just left these words here before turning around and angrily departing.

"Da Zhi, don’t waste any ti. Take him to the hospital, and this kind of thing can’t be delayed. The symptoms will only get worse over ti. If one day it ruptures all of a sudden, you won’t be able to save him because we simply don’t have the facilities here. So, understand, no more delays, okay?"

"Ah, Village Chief Liu, you, just look, this is your brain. Alright, alright, I won’t talk to you about it now. No matter what, even if I have to carry him, I’ll get him to the city hospital. I have to go now."

After saying this, he too left in a hurry.

Watching the father and son depart, for so reason, Liu Zheng felt a great sense of relief in his heart.

Once his illness was diagnosed, he certainly wouldn’t have the heart to be concerned with the village’s affairs anymore, and this would be the perfect opportunity for Liu Zheng to take over completely, presenting him with an excellent chance.

As Liu Zheng walked away, his mood had vastly improved. All along the way, he continuously enjoyed the surrounding scenery, which he rarely took the ti to appreciate.

Between the two villages, you cross a small hill, lush with vegetation. For many years, it has been like this. However, there have always been rumors about the deep mountain that scare people off, so very few dare to venture in.

Liu Zheng would also enter the deep mountain every once in a while to collect the herbs he needed, which was a comforting task.

Since few people visit such places, the herbs thrive abundantly, and it seems that the more secluded the area, the more likely rare species grow.

Reaching the foot of the mountain, Liu Zheng stood there and took a deep breath, as if he could sll the fragrance of the herbs once again.

He had been busy recently with the village and the clinic and hadn’t had a chance to go into the mountains. It seed it was ti for a good foraging trip.

However, he still had so tasks to hand over, so he planned to prepare in the next couple of days and then take Liu Yang with him to gather herbs.

After collecting the herbs and preparing enough dicine, he would have to leave the village, as the grandfather and grandson’s situation was yet unresolved, and he worried that Dr. Wang couldn’t handle it alone.

Passing by the construction site, he noticed that it had regained its forr prosperity and was bustling with activity.

Standing on the edge of the work site, he looked in to see Liu Jiaxin standing there with a blueprint, gesturing and discussing with the workers.

Truth be told, Liu Jiaxin was a strong woman. A girl like her didn’t belong at ho, and seeing her at the construction site made one realize just how sexy and charismatic she was. She seed to have a natural aptitude for this kind of work, nothing could stand in her way.

After directing things at the site, Liu Jiaxin finally got her points across and let out a sigh of relief. Being a forewoman wasn’t as simple as imagined.

But, from the initial design to the final construction, she had to be involved every step of the way. She couldn’t truly relax unless she was there to oversee everything.

As she walked around the site, suddenly, she felt like she was being watched. Looking around, she spotted a very familiar figure standing at the entrance to the site.

Indeed, it was Liu Zheng. She thought he would be gone for a long ti, but to her surprise, after only about an hour, she saw him return to the site.

However, Liu Jiaxin didn’t understand why he had co back so soon. Did it an that his affairs weren’t going smoothly, or perhaps they were going very well?

Putting aside what she was holding, she hurriedly walked towards the construction site.

When she reached Liu Zheng, she said nothing, just looked up to see a disdainful expression on his face. Then, out of the blue, he reached out toward her hair.

Liu Jiaxin instinctively dodged.

"What are you doing?"

"Why are you so nervous? There’s so dirt in your hair, maybe it fell from the construction site just now?"

As Liu Zheng insisted, he reached out and wiped away a clump of dirt, which quickly appeared in his hand and then he casually threw it to the ground.

"It seems you weren’t away for very long. What’s the situation? However, by the look on your face, I guess everything went pretty well?"

"Yes, everything has been going rather smoothly, although, so unexpected developnts actually ended up helping ."

"What? Unexpected developnts? What happened? Will it affect anything?"

Liu Jiaxin was indeed sensitive; the site’s progress was apparent. If the villagers were going to cause obstructions again, her project couldn’t be completed on schedule. Then she would have trouble explaining to the town’s leaders.

"I discovered by chance that the village chief has a pituitary tumor in his brain. Right now, he should be at the hospital, and if all goes well, he probably won’t be released until at least half a month later."

"What are you saying? A pituitary adenoma? How can that be? Is it serious? He’s not... he hasn’t died, has he?"
