Liu Jiaxin couldn’t help but shiver at that mont.
She had indeed heard such a noise just now, but after coming out, she found nothing.
Her mind couldn’t help but go back to the things Liu Zheng had just told her.
It took her a while before she finally spoke up.
"Not only that, we seed to have heard a scream just now, could it be because soone saw it?"
After she said that, Liu Zheng could only helplessly shake his head, not really knowing what exactly was going on.
For now, they could only wait until daylight to ask the neighbors around.
Besides that, there really wasn’t any other option.
"I don’t know either, we can only wait until tomorrow morning to properly ask the neighbors."
It seed that was indeed the only thing they could do.
Liu Jiaxin imdiately took his hand and ca back.
"I normally live a little far from here, so I didn’t know about the things happening around this area, but now after hearing you say this, I’m really a bit scared to go back."
Liu Zheng imdiately patted her hand to comfort her.
"It’s okay, if you don’t go back, then don’t. Stay at my place for the night."
"Besides, it’s already so late, why go back? And it’s quite a distance away."
Seeing what he said, Liu Jiaxin finally felt much more reassured.
But deep down, she felt quite helpless, completely unsure how to deal with such a situation.
If possible, she naturally hoped to get to the bottom of it.
Soon, the two of them lay down on the bed.
Liu Jiaxin, holding his arm, said,
"Did soone really see the dead old man? That seems too unbelievable, it simply can’t happen."
After she said this, Liu Zheng nodded gently.
"So people did say they saw with their own eyes, but it could be they were distracted or their eyes were playing tricks on them late at night. Don’t worry too much."
Even though that’s what he said, Liu Jiaxin still felt a bit scared.
It didn’t seem like a trick of the eye this ti.
It felt more like sothing had really happened.
"Okay, we must investigate this thoroughly, otherwise I might not be able to sleep peacefully these next few days."
After she said this, Liu Zheng once again spoke gently.
"Don’t worry, I’m here with you, no matter what happens, I won’t let anything happen to you."
With these words, Liu Jiaxin truly felt a lot more at ease.
And quickly, she drifted off into a deep sleep.
They waited until the next day when the two of them got up.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
Such an early knock was indeed a surprise for Liu Zheng, not knowing what exactly had happened.
Quickly, the two of them imdiately got dressed and went downstairs.
Liu Zheng imdiately opened the door.
At that mont, he found a middle-aged woman standing outside with a teenage boy in her arms.
The woman’s face was streaked with tears, and she spoke anxiously,
"Doctor Liu, please take a look at him. He still hasn’t woken up, no matter how I call his na, he remains like this."
How could sothing like this happen all of a sudden?
At this very mont, Liu Zheng felt utterly incredulous.
He furrowed his brow slightly and imdiately spoke up.
"Don’t panic, let’s bring him to the bed first."
Swiftly, he and the middle-aged woman together lifted the child onto the hospital bed.
"Now, can you tell exactly what happened?"
Liu Jiaxin, who was standing nearby, was genuinely shocked by the scene.
The middle-aged woman began to sob and tell her story.
"Last night, the child got up to use the bathroom. In the middle of it, he suddenly scread and then ca back to sleep as if he was in a daze. He has been unconscious since."
"I didn’t think much of it at the ti, but when I tried to wake him up for school this morning, he just kept sleeping. No matter how I called, he wouldn’t wake."
"What should I do now..."
I never imagined the one who scread last night would be him.
Indeed, it made what was happening in front of them seem all the more unbelievable.
For a mont, Liu Jiaxin and Liu Zheng couldn’t help but glance at each other, both very curious about what the child might have seen to act in such a way.
"Don’t worry, let take a good look," said Liu Zheng.
After calming down the middle-aged woman, Liu Zheng imdiately began a serious examination to find out what was wrong with the child.
Upon closer inspection, he realized the child had been frightened into fainting.
The thought of that mont had terrified him.
And then, he had fainted again, after the initial shock.
That was why such an incident had occurred.
He spoke right away.
"Don’t worry, he must have been frightened by sothing inappropriate last night and fainted. Let perform acupuncture on him, and he should wake up," he assured her.
After hearing this, the middle-aged woman was extrely thankful.
"Thank you so much, Dr. Liu. I really didn’t know what to do."
"It’s okay, don’t worry. Let give him the acupuncture first," he responed.
Soon enough, Liu Zheng perford the acupuncture with diligence.
Unexpectedly, the child slowly opened his eyes right after the procedure was completed.
The middle-aged woman, who thought it might take much longer, had never imagined it would be so quick.
This indeed made her feel incredibly astonished and even more grateful.
"Oh my, I can’t thank you enough, Dr. Liu, thank you so much."
Seeing her continuous thanks, Liu Zheng just shook his head lightly.
"It’s nothing. Go and check on your child."
Quickly, she went over to the child.
"My son, how are you feeling now? Is there anywhere that feels uncomfortable?"
The child opened his eyes with a perplexed look and then lightly shook his head.
After looking around carefully, he asked with curiosity,
"Why am I here? Where is this place?"
Hearing this, the middle-aged woman imdiately replied,
"Oh dear, my child, you’re finally awake. You nearly scared to death yesterday. You fainted out of the blue and were out for so long. This morning, no matter how much I called, you just wouldn’t wake up."
