Chapter 659: 601 ‘Don’t…
“Boom boom boom…!”
Outside the secret base unknown to the public, the waterfall continued to crash down, generating huge splashes as if nothing had happened. Even the headless corpse of the knight whom Lymco had beheaded with his sword was nowhere to be found, and the blood stains had been cleaned up ticulously, clearly indicating soone had specifically taken care of it.
Until a certain mont, with a faint sound of tearing through the air, a series of bright figures finally appeared outside the waterfall.
Naturally, these bright figures were the female knights Shane had rescued from the dungeon.
“Ah!”
“Ya!”
A group of beautiful female knights only felt a blur before their eyes, and then they were back under the daylight, outside, and subsequently let out shrieks.
“Lady Cape…!”
“We…!”
“Ah… Ahhhh…!”
So of them squatted down hugging their bodies, while others trembled in terror, their inner embarrassnt completely overwhelming them.
It couldn’t be helped.
Just monts ago, in the pitch-dark dungeon, these female knights could comfort themselves by using the darkness to hide their indecent state, together with their strong desire to escape, which barely suppressed their feelings of sha.
But now, suddenly back under the broad daylight, illuminated by the ample sunlight, the embarrassnt felt by the group of female knights couldn’t help but escalate massively.
“Cough cough…”
Shane cleared his throat, turned his head away, looking towards the horizon, pretending as though he saw nothing, that nothing was here, presenting himself as a gentleman and a righteous man.
Lady Cape, cloaked, imdiately gave Shane a glare, then quickly sheltered her female knights into the nearby bushes.
A group of bright figures quickly hid in the bushes, sniffling and chattering quietly.
“Princess, what should we do?”
“Woo… we’re seen naked… by n of our own kingdom… Wow!”
“There’s not even a piece of clothing to wear here, are we to remain like this?”
“I… I don’t want this!”
“How are we to return to the Imperial City like this?”
“Lady Cape, save us…”
Such whimpering sounds constantly ca from the direction of the bushes, making Shane sowhat itch with curiosity.
Cappelen was a bit helpless.
“Don’t panic, just hide here for now, don’t move, I’ll think of sothing soon.”
“First, check on each other to see if anyone is left behind, not out yet.”
“Calm down, we’ve just escaped, we can’t afford to be captured again.”
“Keep the noise down, we might not be completely out of danger yet, got it?”
Under Cappelen’s rather serious and even stern warnings, the female knights managed to sowhat calm their emotions and were no longer noisy.
Of course, there were still many peering through the bushes, looking outside at Shane, who seed to be appreciating the feng shui as if in high spirits, with their faces blushing deeply.
For heaven’s sake, they were all pure and innocent maidens, when had they ever been through such an ordeal?
If it were normal tis, such an incident would have already led them to either kill the main culprit or commit suicide themselves; how could they endure such embarrassnt?
However, this ti, every one of them couldn’t dwell on this matter.
Because, they were being rescued, and their clothes weren’t stripped off by others, there was genuinely no reason to challenge him about this situation.
In a nutshell, Shane had really profited a lot this ti.
“How else could you say Princess is impressive? Her Personal Guards are all big and fair.”
The poetically inspired person lanted so.
Cappelen and others didn’t know what Shane was thinking, otherwise they would have died of sha.
Thus, after so commotion, the place gradually cald down sowhat.
Cappelen then ca out from the bushes, approached Shane, staring at him directly as if she was considering whether or not to silence him.
Shane saw this but wasn’t panic-stricken at all.
“Don’t be foolish, child, you can’t defeat .”
Shane stated honestly, which truly made Cappelen consider silencing him for a mont.
Fortunately, Shane’s words were sowhat deterrent.
At least, he wasn’t wrong, Cappelen couldn’t defeat him.
He himself admitted this much.
“It was just one loss, don’t think that proves you’re stronger than .”
Proud Valkyrie, always unwilling to admit defeat.
Shane could only chuckle.
“Sorry, but I am stronger than you.”
Even at that ti, Cappelen couldn’t defeat Shane, and couldn’t even force him to unseal the Holy Sword. If it were now, the outco would be even clearer; he really didn’t understand where the Princess got such confidence from.
Unfortunately, Cappelen still didn’t know all of this.
She didn’t know that Shane was a Hero, possessing an incredibly powerful Holy Sword, nor did she know that Shane had completely transford, becoming even stronger than before. So, in the Princess’s view, perhaps Shane was strong, but not yet strong enough for her to feel unable to contend against him.
Regardless, now was not the ti to settle these matters.
“I’m taking the kids back to the Imperial City first.”
Cappelen took a deep breath, revealing her intentions.
Shane, without thinking, blurted out imdiately.
“Don’t, just walking back to the Imperial City with bare buttocks would be too much of a treat for the bystanders.”
Shane’s words almost made Cappelen burst into murderous rage.
“Who told us we are going to go back bare… bare…!?” Cappelen gritted her teeth and yelled, “We will watch the crowd movents, and wait until we get enough coverings before going back!”
This wasn’t really such a difficult problem to solve.
Not to ntion, using what was available right there provided plenty of options.
For instance, there were still plenty of demons around, and by defeating them and taking their fur for clothing, it was completely feasible.
It was just a bit dangerous.
“This location is still too close to the enemy’s position, it’s better not to rush to cover yourselves, leave this area first, find a place to hide, and then proceed according to the plan.”
Shane pondered before saying this.
“Otherwise, before you can get far, I’m afraid you’ll all be captured again.”
Since he had already had a good view, Shane didn’t mind giving these girls so more advice.
Though, if he were to assist, solving the issue of modesty would be quite easy, Cappelen, the stubborn and strong-willed Valkyrie, clearly didn’t plan on relying on Shane anymore, so naturally, Shane wouldn’t insist.
Sure enough…
“I’ll take your advice for now.”
Cappelen made no ntion of asking Shane to help resolve their difficulties; instead, she exhibited a deanor that suggested she’d rely on herself next.
However, her gaze towards Shane was still sowhat complex.
“And you?” Cappelen asked faintly, “Are you going back?”
She knew Shane’s investigation here wasn’t over yet.
What this place was really for, Shane hadn’t fully confird.
When leaving the dungeon, Shane had said he would lead them out first.
Since it was “first,” there must be plans for a follow up.
And indeed, that was the case.
“Since I’m here, wouldn’t it be a waste not to et old and new friends inside?”
Shane grinned, showing a smile.
That smile was sowhat malicious.
And this maliciousness wasn’t just directed at the enemies hiding behind the waterfall.
“By the way, I still don’t want to reveal my identity too quickly, as it would let those guys imdiately think of the two powerful figures associated with , and they wouldn’t dare even show their faces, opting to just run away.”
Shane turned his head towards Cappelen.
“What… what are you going to do?”
Cappelen instinctively took a step back and clutched the cloak tighter around her.
“What do you think?”
Shane’s smile suddenly appeared even more malicious.
Consequently, Cappelen hesitated no more and turned to run.
However, how could she possibly outrun soone who possessed Instant Movent?
It wasn’t long before the Princess was caught.
“Wait… wait! Don’t…! Don’t take it…! Ahhhhh…!”
Accompanied by a scream, Cappelen’s cloak flew away, returning to its original owner.
Shane put it back on over himself, donned the hood to completely cover his face, and then nodded contentedly.
Cappelen, dying of sha, rushed into the bushes, joining the company of the Female Knights.
“You bastard…! Shaless…! Beast…!”
The next mont, the Princess’s curses ca one after another from the bushes.
“Curse more?” Shane looked toward the bushes, squinted, and said with a smile, “Keep on, and I’ll use magic to burn those bushes to the ground, okay?”
Upon those words, the Princess’s voice imdiately vanished.
Even the Female Knights all blushed deeply, too embarrassed to make a sound.
Really, it was embarrassing and awkward enough; they didn’t want to expose themselves further.
“Alright, let’s get moving,” Shane said impatiently, “Those guys should almost start noticing sothing’s off soon, if we don’t leave now, it might be too late.”
Shane hadn’t forgotten that the High Priest possessed “Death Corridor,” a magic for detecting the life force of human beings.
Under such circumstances, the fact that Cappelen and others had escaped from the dungeon and reached outside couldn’t possibly be concealed from them.
If not leaving now, when would they wait?
“… I know.”
Cappelen’s voice, slightly dejected, ca from the bushes.
Shortly afterward, under Cappelen’s direction, rustling sounds started erging one by one from the Female Knights hidden behind the bushes, gradually moving away.
Cappelen did the sa.
Shane smiled, turned his head back, and shifted his gaze in the direction of the waterfall.
Cappelen was the last to leave.
After glancing at Shane draped in the cloak and watching his silhouette for several seconds, Cappelen quietly slipped away.
No farewells.
No extra words.
Because this wasn’t the end, but just the beginning.
