Chapter 607: 552 Thousands of Years of Causes and Conditions

A battle that engulfed the entire Taiger Forest finally drew to a close.

At least the Evil Energy that had consud the entire Taiger Forest had dispersed, allowing the previously irrational Demons to recover.

Although the aftermath of this sudden incident still lingered in Taiger Forest, and many Demons had not yet regained their composure, stirring restlessly and causing chaos, since Lilith had already withdrawn her Authority, perhaps Taiger Forest would eventually return to peace.

However, it was certain that Shane’s side wouldn’t be able to conclude so quickly.

“Roar!”

In front of the Temple Square in Elf Country, Lide once again swelled and transford into a beast as large as a dragon.

Its massive maw suddenly opened, and with a spit, an incomplete figure was expelled.

“Thud…”

In the dull sound of landing, the heavy impact splattered blood, staining a large patch of the ground beneath.

“Ugh…”

Only then did Magie struggle, laboriously opening her eyes to let the surrounding scenery imprint itself upon her gaze.

However, the view that t her eyes caused her pupils to tremble with fear.

For she was heavily surrounded.

At that mont, Magie lay in the very center of the square, as if being judged, encircled by nurous Elves.

They were mbers of the Elf Corps, top-ranked Mages of the Human Realm.

Yet their faces were stern at this mont, their gazes towards Magie filled with severity and disdain, as if they beheld so intolerable manifestation of evil, emanating chilling Magic Power.

Of course, Magie didn’t take these Elves into consideration.

In the outside world, these Elves were indeed foremost among Mages, none with a Level below eighty; but to Magie, such characters were insignificant, and she couldn’t care less about them.

However, apart from these Elf Mages of the Elf Corps, there were other presences at the scene that Magie couldn’t afford to ignore.

For instance, standing behind her, blocking her retreat like a wall, were three Demons—Ai Yi, Lide, and Milu.

For instance, standing in front of her, looking at her with complex gazes, were three Elves—Sophie, Leiya, and Nia.

Then, there was one standing by the side, watching her intently, faintly emanating Evil Energy that made Magie’s heart tremble—the Evil God, Lilith.

Even the Kingdom Treasure, rumored to be as beautiful as a heavenly being, was here, silently watching her, seemingly ready to witness her downfall, her fate.

Lastly, the man who, although they had t just today, had left an indelible impression in Magie’s mind.

“Should I say, ‘Welco back’?”

Shane stood right in front of Magie, looking down at her without pity or pleasure, only irony.

“Enjoyed the ga? Was it fun? Great Miss Demon Spirit?”

At these words, Magie laughed.

Forced, weak, and difficult, yet the laughter ca abruptly.

“Who would have thought after thousands of years in the human world, I would fall at the hands of a human I’d t less than ten hours ago? Life is truly unpredictable.”

To this, Shane offered no reply.

Because soone else responded to Magie’s words first.

“I never thought when I saw you again, it would be under these circumstances, Magie.”

The Elf Queen, holding the Scepter, finally spoke after a mont filled with complex emotions.

Magie’s smile deepened at her words.

“Isn’t that Sophie?” Magie said calmly, “Long ti no see, it seems these thousands of years have treated you quite well.”

Hearing this, a fire of rage ignited in Sophie’s heart.

“I’ve been thinking of finding you every mont, Magie.”

Sophie said, struggling to contain her anger.

Magie responded with a scoff.

“Thinking of finding all the ti? Don’t make laugh,” Magie said disdainfully, “If you wanted to find , why did you keep hiding in Elf Country, isolated from the world, instead of running around everywhere?”

“This…” Sophie was at a loss for words.

“I know, let answer for you.” Magie’s expression grew even more disdainful as she continued, “Because, more than personal vendettas, you care about the Elf Clan. Instead of seeking out, you’d rather protect your own people, so you only dare to hide here, content with safety and peace, right?”

As she spoke, Magie’s tone was saturated with irony.

“You’re just as boring as ever. Had I known, I would have killed a few more of your companions back then, to let you experience more pain.”

The Demon Spirit continued to taunt.

“You…!”

Sophie finally couldn’t hide her anger any longer.

Leiya and Nia were also enraged.

Only a part of the mbers who had recently joined the Elf Corps felt sowhat bewildered.

“Vice Division Commander, what’s going on?”

Soone quietly inquired of their leader, Carol.

Carol stared intently at the incensed Sophie and sighed.

“The Queen and that Demon Spirit know each other.”

Carol revealed.

“Before the Queen ascended to the throne, when the Elf Clan was at war with the Demon Spirit Clan, she and that Demon Spirit had so entanglents.”

This was a secret known only to Elves who had lived through that war and survived to the present.
