Chapter 520: 489 I’ll scatter your ashes_2
“People would probably love to stay as far away from us as possible!”
In fact, Shane was a bit frightened as well.
After all, the display of power that Lilith had just shown was vastly superior to her uncontrolled state before her return, elevated by who knows how many realms.
At the very least, Shane had not sensed even the slightest sign of Lilith intending to take action, and that storm of evil energy had appeared out of nowhere, instantly destroying everything like so unpredictable natural disaster, both terrifying and dreadful.
Shane was silently thankful that the uncontrollable Lilith of the Cosmos era had not possessed such capabilities while he looked down at the little girl.
At this mont, Lilith, who had received praise from Ai Yi, was hugging Shane’s thigh with a beaming smile, looking up at him with her big eyes twinkling, seemingly seeking recognition for her deeds.
Yes, adorable, but also truly terrifying.
What else could be more frightening than soone who could destroy worlds while still managing to be cute?
Definitely nothing.
“Well, that’s how it is,” Shane said in a feigned calm manner to rica, “Just directly tell us where Elf Country is, we’ll fly there.”
That’s the kind of arrogance he had.
“That… over there…”
rica, trembling with anxiety, raised her hand and pointed in a direction.
“Roar!”
You Lin imdiately roared, not waiting for Shane’s instruction, flapping his wings and flying in that direction, as if looking forward to encountering a legendary ancient Magical Beast and having a battle.
Such unabashed recklessness.
Thus, on that day, within Taiger Forest, all legendary Demons that had existed for countless years beca extrely cautious, treading on thin ice, trembling and hiding in their habitats, not daring to co out.
Even more so, so legendary Demons simply fled, clearly terrified.
Of course, there were also a few dimwitted legendary Demons that, seeing You Lin fly over their territories, savagely lunged at him.
Their fates were generally quite miserable.
In any case, Shane had witnessed the truth of the saying.
“Dare to provoke ? I’ll scatter your ashes to the winds!”
In the end, these dimwitted Demons t with a fate where not even their bones remained.
Luoqi felt pity for a long ti.
“Legendary ancient Demons, many of which are extinct in the outside world, their materials are invaluable; why not keep their bodies instead of vaporizing them?”
Well then.
Hearing this, Shane too felt a pang of pity.
Owing to this, the Demons who later ca knocking all left their bodies intact.
The precious parts of their bodies were unceremoniously taken by Shane and his companions.
As a result, Shane’s group started to travel heavily laden with all sorts of items, which gave the impression they were looting.
Actually, this feeling was quite exhilarating.
…
And so, after about half a day of flying, at a certain mont, Shane noticed sothing odd.
“Let’s stop here, You Lin.”
Shane called out, causing You Lin to beat his wings once and stop midair, flapping his Dragon Wings and not moving forward.
“Is another legendary Demon coming to offer itself?”
Hearing the noise, Luoqi thoughtlessly blurted out this possibility.
Her practiced and calm deanor made it obvious that she had been “led astray” by Shane and company.
But this ti, Shane shook his head.
“I think we must be getting close to our destination,” Shane said, looking ahead into the depths of the forest. “I can feel the presence of a Barrier.”
Those words instantly invigorated everyone.
rica quickly climbed onto You Lin’s head, looking ahead with joy on her face.
“That’s right! That’s the Barrier of Elf Country!”
rica appeared delighted.
As ntioned before, to prevent nefarious individuals from entering Elf Country and harming the Elf Clan, barriers of various kinds had been laid out around the borders of Elf Country.
Now, with the appearance of those barriers, it ant that Elf Country was just within reach.
Since that was the case…
“Looks like we can’t keep flying down,” Shane judged, “If we continue, we won’t even catch a glimpse of Elf Country.”
The Barrier surrounding Elf Country had various effects.
There were bewildering effects, concealnt, obstruction, and isolation. Flying over like this, one might either get trapped by the Barrier or simply get lost, never truly reaching Elf Country.
Unless, of course, the Barrier were to be broken.
“Do you need to act?”
Ai Yi’s words were astonishing.
“Please… please don’t!” rica seed to have received the biggest scare of her life, pleading like she was about to burst into tears, “Elf Country will be destroyed if you do that!”
The poor child had witnessed all sorts of ferocious acts along the way and was completely terrified.
“Stop fooling around.” Shane also smacked Ai Yi on the head and said irritably, “We’re here to be guests, not to cause destruction. Why so violent?”
Shane would never admit that at first, he nearly blurted out a suggestion to fly straight over and break the Barrier, then enter Elf Country with composure.
One could only say that the constant battles along the way almost made him think he was there to stir up trouble.
“Then let’s land before the Barrier.”
Luoqi seed to realize her thinking was being led astray and hurriedly straightened her values, proposing with conviction.
“Let’s go,” Shane nodded and addressed You Lin below, “Let’s land before the Barrier, You Lin.”
“Roar!” You Lin responded and once again streaked forward.
After flying a certain distance like this, You Lin landed heavily on the ground in front of the Barrier, following Shane’s direction, causing a resounding boom and stirring up a cloud of dust.
The magical beasts around sensed the presence emanating from You Lin and scattered in panic.
Shane and the others disembarked from You Lin one by one, stepping onto the ground.
“What cos next? How do we proceed?”
Luoqi asked, not without expectation.
“rica.”
Shane didn’t answer; he looked straight at rica.
rica had already sprinted out from the group to the front of the Barrier.
“————き·サ·オ·が·ち·ぃ·あ·ぇ·ぉ·つ·ぷ·ろ(Corridor of the forest, labyrinth of the fairy, open under the command of the traveler)————”
rica extended her hand, closed her eyes, and in the direction of the Barrier, chanted a segnt of a Spell.
That was not the known Universal Language within Omni Potanssen, but rather an ancient, very abstruse and difficult to understand Spell.
Shane was utterly confused.
However, Luoqi beside him was intently watching the scene.
“That’s an ancient Elvish language, handed down from the ancestors of the Elf Clan over ten thousand years ago. It was gradually phased out after the Elf Clan made contact with other races. Yet it’s still used in so very old Magic Spells; there are Magic Research Institutions in various countries studying this ancient Elvish language, including our Kingdom.”
Luoqi explained briefly to Shane.
“It seems I’ve heard of it before.”
Shane realized belatedly.
He also had morized nurous Magic Spells, and his knowledge of Magic was certainly not lacking.
Like this ancient Elvish language, Shane had seen it ntioned in books, yet he had never seen Magic enacted with such Spells.
“Magic that involves the ancient Elvish language is always very old, either lost or revered as forbidden treasures. All such items reside in the Forbidden Book Library; naturally, you wouldn’t find them in any books outside of that library,”
Luoqi seed to sense the confusion in Shane’s heart and ntioned this.
“Alright then.”
Shane shrugged his shoulders and refrained from asking further.
The matters of Magic, he truly did not wish to delve into them anymore.
With Grant Magic and Celestial Magic at his side, Shane already felt content and had no desire to research other forms of Magic.
Should the opportunity arise to learn other Magic in the future, Shane probably wouldn’t choose any ancient lost Magic, but sothing like Life Creation Magic.
That dream of crafting Magic Lifeforms from a second dinsion, Shane hadn’t given up on it yet.
