Chapter 1486: Chapter 87: Guiding Marker (Double-Length)_3
The sowhat disheveled old Taoist in a hemp Taoist robe extended his hand, blocking the two heavenly generals clad in ancient armor, with a surge of imnse and pure qi from the Taoist Sect, halting them in their tracks. He then looked at the celestial beings ahead, particularly the one the others addressed as the Immortal Lord, and his smile faded as he said:
“As long as this old Taoist is here, you shall not take another step forward.”
A tall heavenly general in golden armor seed enraged at being impeded by what he perceived to be a re mortal, and he shouted loudly: “A re mortal Taoist dares to act against celestial beings?!”
“Retreat swiftly, or I shall sever the three flowers atop your head, condemning you to eternal damnation!”
The old Taoist turned to the golden-armored divine general and said:
“Try it if you dare.”
“Hmph!”
The golden-armored divine general snorted coldly, his aura rising continuously, even his skin emitting a faint golden glow, evidencing extre toughness. As he walked on air, unlike powerful earthly martial artists, clouds condensed beneath his feet, and he wielded the Golden Pagoda Iron Mace with overwhelming force, truly a celestial being from heaven and a powerful sage on earth.
Just as he was about to pass over the old Taoist, the elder’s right hand under his wide sleeve subtly clenched.
Just like before, the qi chanism within the three-zhang radius of Heaven and Earth was stripped away and then shattered, reverting to a chaotic state prior to ‘Pri Origin’ in the concept of heavenly secrets and qi chanism. The celestial general in golden armor montarily froze, and in the next instant, both he and the qi chanism were peeled away, his body exploding into a bloody mist.
Returning to Pri Origin.
I am the Supre.
The old man glanced at the blood on his palm. The other lucky survivor of a heavenly general backed away abruptly, almost paralyzed with fear. The elder gently wiped the blood on his hand on his hemp Taoist robe, saying:
“I sent my disciple away because I didn’t want her to witness this.”
He looked at the celestial beings, grinning like a simple old farr or a wrinkled elderly neighbor who might at any mont reach into his pouch, pull out a handful of peanuts, and amuse the children to laughter, yet his words sent chills down the spine.
“This old Taoist has lived for three cycles of sixty years, three cycles!”
“One hundred and eighty years, not always such an agreeable speaker, but as age advanced, understanding that the destined end is nearing, amidst the life and death cycle, temperant llowed; a hundred years ago, the world was in disarray, every nation had its self-proclaid number one in the world.”
“Do you truly think the ancestral place of our Taoist Sect is determined by performing rituals or calculating marriage matches?”
He lifted his head to gaze at the celestial beings, vaguely ntioned in ancient Taoist records, seemingly questioning, seemingly reflecting to himself: “Celestial beings? Immortal Lord?”
He chuckled and said:
“We of the Taoist Sect adhere to cultivating the Heavenly Dao, Human Dao, Grand Dao, following successive masters from Laozi to Zhuangzi, seeking transcendence, freedom, and liberation, never clinging to a prolonged existence. Posterity bestowed upon our ancestral masters titles mimicking earthly sovereigns, were they ever consulted?”
“re celestial beings, nothing more than lingering bones avoiding disaster and calamity.”
“Hoping to exist for another hundred years between Heaven and Earth, without understanding matters of life and death, taking elixirs to avoid calamities, do they know the True Master Realm that understands neither life nor fears death?”
The old man stepped forward three tis.
At the first step, the earth seed to sink, making everyone feel their bodies suddenly heavy. At the second step, the surrounding tangible airflow gathered, transforming into swirling winds. The earth was dense, the sky birthed wind, and from the wind erged fierce flas, while sky’s moisture coalesced as if a Flood Dragon were traveling the clouds and summoning rain.
Unlike the top martial artists of the mortal realm who could affect phenona for hundreds of miles, moving snow from Snow Mountain miles away, the Taoist Sect’s three teachings emphasized seeking not breadth but rather height and distance. With the third step, earth, water, wind, and fire all dispersed; within a re three-zhang radius, the primal intent of chaos unveiled.
The pupils of the celestial being known as the Immortal Lord suddenly constricted.
The old Taoist ahead spoke plainly:
“You ntioned earlier that you have less than a year left of life, you were mistaken.”
He gave a slight smile.
“Not a re year left; you still have an entire year of life.”
The elder lifted his hand to adjust the pine wood Taoist crown on his hair, his entire aura soaring instantly, like a towering mountain, like the onset of all things, before anything existed, primordial chaos, the Supre, the ancient naless sovereign, the Dao.
The elder made a slight bow and said plainly:
“Taoist Sect, Supre.”
