"You seem quite happy?"
Mu Yunchu’s puzzled voice suddenly rang out, startling Wen Xu into instinctually locking his phone screen.
If she knew her colleague was gossiping behind her back about these nonsensical things, she would probably get angry.
A trace of disappointnt flashed briefly across her face, but her expression beca subtle again after thinking of sothing.
"I never had the chance to ask, how do you see everything happening around you?"
Mu Yunchu tilted her head slightly.
She seed to not fully comprehend what he ant.
Rather than not knowing what he was asking, it seed more like she didn’t know why he was asking so suddenly.
Wen Xu further explained, "I’ve noticed before that although you can’t see, it seems it doesn’t hinder your perception of everything around you."
Including the fact that he was in a good mood just now.
Upon hearing it was so kind of magic, Wen Xu’s first reaction was, "Doesn’t using it like this exhaust your energy?"
Based on his most basic understanding, spells should be like the ’mana bar’ in online gas, definitely not endless.
"No."
"Because I don’t use this magic all the ti."
"What about now?" Wen Xu leaned forward, waiting for Mu Yunchu’s answer.
"In this situation, of course, I don’t need to use it." Mu Yunchu didn’t catch the deeper aning in his words, just answered his question as usual.
After hearing this, Wen Xu nodded to himself, suppressing the corners of his mouth from curving up slightly.
"Can I understand it as you trusting a lot?"
Mu Yunchu resisted the urge to use magic, feeling that Wen Xu was acting strange today.
If it weren’t for the unchanged voice and sll, she would suspect he had been swapped with soone else.
Even though Mu Yunchu didn’t reply, Wen Xu didn’t pursue further questions.
Because many tis, so questions don’t need an answer from the other person.
After collecting his thoughts, Wen Xu looked around, his gaze landing on the nearby bus stop sign.
When he left the Jiang Family earlier, Wen Xu took out his phone to catch a ride to the airport.
But Mu Yunchu refused.
He brought it up again at this mont.
"I don’t mind sitting here for a while, but this might make us miss the flight."
He kindly reminded her.
Not understanding why Mu Yunchu seed in no hurry to head to the airport.
It was like...
His doubtful gaze turned into sudden realization and confusion in the blink of an eye.
"You never intended to catch this flight."
Otherwise, it couldn’t explain why Mu Yunchu was still sitting here despite the boarding ti nearing.
He guessed Mu Yunchu’s true intention but couldn’t comprehend her motive.
"Yes."
"I really didn’t plan to take this flight."
Every ti she talked to Wen Xu, Mu Yunchu felt like dealing with a smart person, effortlessly.
So she was happy to tell him the truth, sparing the twists and turns.
"Because this flight won’t take off."
Wen Xu: !
"Extre weather?"
It was both speculation and affirmation, as he couldn’t think of any other reason for a flight cancellation.
"Yes, there will be an extre thunderstorm tonight."
They were now waiting for the bus back to the hotel.
Since they couldn’t leave, it was better to rest a night at the hotel.
The choice of taking a bus instead of a taxi had its reasoning, but Mu Yunchu couldn’t reveal it to Wen Xu for now. So she didn’t elaborate on it.
Wen Xu looked up at the clear sky.
Then he opened the local news and weather forecast, finding no ntion or detection of a severe thunderstorm tonight on any apps.
But he wouldn’t doubt Mu Yunchu’s words.
Their conversation was entirely overheard by a local old man nearby.
At first, there was no response, but he couldn’t help but laugh out loud when he heard her say there would be a heavy rain tonight.
Then he puffed up a haughty stance, waiting for them to ask him sothing.
But after waiting for a long ti, they didn’t turn to him at all.
This made the old man feel puzzled. Turning back, he found these two young people weren’t even looking at him, nor did they intend to ask him anything.
The old man smacked his lips in disappointnt.
"Didn’t you hear laugh just now?"
How could they not have any reaction?
They were all looking straight ahead.
Even more infuriating, after he spoke, they still didn’t give him a glance.
"Hey! I’m talking to you guys!"
The old man’s voice was already tinged with anger.
Tinged with a hint of senior arrogance.
As if saying: Why are you ignoring ?
I’m talking to you!
It wasn’t until he shouted that Wen Xu slowly raised his head.
Seeing it was an old man, his expression paused for a mont.
Though not fierce, it was extrely cold and distant.
"Anything I can help with?"
The old man was choked, smacking his lips.
He felt like he was punching cotton, nowhere to release his energy.
This left him speechless, not knowing how to continue his prepared lines.
His anger dissipated unknowingly.
His tone also softened significantly.
"I said I heard what you were talking about just now."
"You guys were saying there would be rain here tonight."
Perhaps because Wen Xu and Mu Yunchu’s topics were many, it took the old man a mont after repeating to realize this was what he was referring to.
"Yes."
"A heavy rain, too." The old man smirked.
His expression was odd, prompting Wen Xu to stop replying.
Sure enough, after a few seconds of silence from him, the old man spoke again.
"You’re joking, right? Nowadays young people speak carelessly. With such clear weather, how could it rain?"
Wen Xu wasn’t angry, just puzzled.
It’s a simple statent, yet why such a big reaction from the old man.
"I’m standing here telling you, it’s absolutely not going to rain tonight."
Sa situation, different ti, after the old man finished speaking, Mu Yunchu gave the sa reaction he did.
She chuckled.
A laugh so light, yet extrely jarring.
The old man instantly felt his authority was challenged.
"What? You little girl, not convinced?"
"I’ve been aning to say, isn’t it impolite, girl? I’m talking to you, why aren’t you facing ?"
When Mu Yunchu did turn around, the old man was montarily stunned. Seeing her empty gaze, he instinctively reached out, wanting to wave a hand in front of her.
However, his hand was caught by Wen Xu when it was twenty centiters away from Mu Yunchu.
The old man belatedly realized.
"Hey, let go."
"Are you blind?"
He scrutinized her up and down for a good while, "A fortune teller, aren’t you?"
