A type of magic that traps people in one place, no matter how they walk, they always return to the sa spot.

She had just let Zhao Hongbin go upstairs alone just to see.

Mu Yunchu’s lips curved upward imperceptibly, "Looks like soone wants to see you alone."

Zhao Hongbin:!

Before he could even speak, he saw the young girl beside him take a piece of Yellow Talisman Paper out of her pocket.

She casually stuck it on the wall.

Even less ticulously than when their family sticks couplets during the New Year.

Could this really work?

At almost the sa ti, doubt arose in his heart.

Yet this inconspicuous thing actually helped them resolve the troubling issue that had been plaguing them on the third floor.

They finally reached the fourth floor.

The elderly Zhao Hongbin braced his knee, panting heavily.

This was the longest fourth floor he had ever climbed in his lifeti.

As soon as the two stood on the fourth floor, the door of dormitory 404 suddenly opened by itself not far away.

Zhao Hongbin swallowed his saliva.

He knew that this day had finally co.

He walked into the room step by step, feeling as if his steps had beco much lighter, even the white hair on his head seed less.

In the corner by the window of the dormitory stood a woman in a red dress with her back to him.

Her figure was graceful and composed.

At just one glance, his clouded pupils were filled with tears.

"Xiao i..."

The woman in red turned her head at the sound.

It was just like many years ago for them.

But this ti what he saw was not the beautiful face of his mory, but a face that had been replaced with a grueso and frightening one.

Her face was full of bloody scars, even the black eye sockets were continuously bleeding tears.

"Why..."

A mournful voice ca, telling of her decades of resentnt.

"You clearly said you would leave with back then..."

"Why..."

Zhao Hongbin painfully closed his eyes, the past vividly replayed in his mind.

"I’m sorry, truly sorry."

"For the past twenty years, I’ve been living in guilt." He held his chest, "I think of you every night."

You could say, he hasn’t spent a single day without relying on sleeping pills.

Five years ago.

He accidentally found their old letters at ho, thinking about the beginning and end of things, planning to burn them in this room. But sohow, after he left, a big fire broke out.

Fortunately, no students were living there at the ti, and it was during the sumr vacation, so a tragedy was averted.

Thinking of this, he shed tears, looking pleadingly at the female ghost in front of him, "It’s my fault, please spare my daughter; whatever the issue, co at , okay?"

The woman in red looked at him for a long ti and suddenly spoke, "Alright."

"Then co and join ."

"After all, you owe ."

Zhao Hongbin sniffed.

Standing there for over ten seconds felt like centuries.

Finally, it seed he had made up his mind.

"Okay."

"As long as you can forgive ."

He stood by the window, took a deep breath, and was about to step onto the windowsill.

"Wait."

Mu Yunchu slowly walked into the room, preventing him just in ti from attempting to jump.

She glanced over at the standing female ghost in red, speaking indifferently, "She is deceiving you."

Upon seeing Mu Yunchu, the ghost’s expression suddenly changed. Her eyes widened and her face twisted as if wanting to kill her imdiately.

The unaware Zhao Hongbin shook his head, taking this as Mu Yunchu’s goodwill in trying to stop him, "Thank you, young lady, but this is indeed the outco I deserve."

He knew better than anyone else what he had done.

Living in sha for twenty years was enough.

As long as he could reunite with Xiao i, being with her, then death wasn’t as terrifying as imagined.

"However, there is sothing I would like to ask of the young lady: After I’m gone, please tell my family not to be too sad."

"And please tell Qing Qing, Daddy loves her very much."

No matter what Zhao Hongbin said at that mont, the female ghost remained expressionless.

Until she heard what Mu Yunchu said.

"Let’s not ntion that this ghost is not your lover from back then."

"Moreover, even if you died now, you wouldn’t find her."

In this eerie dormitory, most of the full moon outside was obscured by dark clouds, leaving only a few dim rays of light illuminating the interior.

Mu Yunchu stood tall, and as her words fell, her hair drifted in the wind, her expression somber as she spoke words that cut like sharp blades right at the red-dressed ghost.

Zhao Hongbin:!!!

Each of the two sentences brought him imnse shock. Stamring for a long ti, he looked toward the nacing ghost beside him, "She’s not Xiao i?"

"What does that an?"

If she’s not Xiao i, then who is she?

At this mont, the female ghost in red had clearly shown murderous intent, the chilling aura around her spreading layer upon layer, almost soaking into her crimson dress.

"Don’t listen to her!"

The ghost shouted fiercely, her sharp voice making Zhao Hongbin instinctively cover his ears.

She glared daggers at the woman who had ssed up her plans from out of nowhere. Her face, already pale, twisted into sothing grotesque and terrifying, eyes wide open and burning with raging fire.

Determined to kill Mu Yunchu before she spouted more nonsense.

The next mont, her fingers turned into claws, and she vanished from sight, charging towards Mu Yunchu with a shriek that thoroughly shattered the silence of the night.

The ghost moved exceedingly fast, reappearing right in front of Mu Yunchu.

However, Mu Yunchu easily sidestepped to avoid her attack.

Seeing her appear enraged beyond control, Mu Yunchu slightly curled her lips, "Afraid?"

To the ghost, this was nothing short of a provocation.

Already missing an attack, now even more incited, she grew increasingly furious. Her long black hair danced wildly like flas, raising bursts of dark miasma.

As she lunged towards Mu Yunchu again, her mouth issued garbled but malevolent roars.

In Zhao Hongbin’s view from the side, the fight between the two was as terrifying as could be.

His heart leapt to his throat, wanting to warn Mu Yunchu to be careful, but the ti it took to open his mouth, she had already perfectly deflected the ghost’s attack.

As ti passed, the red-dressed ghost’s attacks beca increasingly fierce, yet Mu Yunchu’s movents remained calm and unhurried.

Until she waved the Peach Wood Sword gently in her hand, the unobtrusive wooden sword glinting with golden light, twining around the ghost’s body like a spiritual serpent.

"Ah!"

Piercing pain engulfed the ghost’s body as if it were being burned by fierce flas, struggling desperately, but the golden light held tighter and tighter. Ultimately, she fell heavily to the ground, with the dark miasma around her gradually dissipating, her body firmly restrained and unable to move.

She couldn’t understand.

Having been here for twenty years, consuming many ghosts, and with ’that person’s’ guidance, she should have been invincible in the Ghost Realm; how could she be defeated by a little girl today?

Mu Yunchu, looking at her condition, aningfully said, "Not every red dress is called Red Dress."

The ghost’s pupils instantly widened, staring at her in imnse shock.

In an instant, all her resentnt turned to unwillingness, filling her eyes as she lowered her head, biting her lips, unable to utter a single word.

Zhao Hongbin rushed over, instinctively reaching out to help her up, but recalling sothing, his hand froze in mid-air.

Upon seeing his actions, the ghost in red let out a low laugh.

"It’s precisely because of your indecisiveness, she died."

"Twenty years ago you were like this, and twenty years later you are still the sa."

"You never let go of your so-called societal morals."

Zhao Hongbin was startled.

Not just because of her words.

But because he realized from her words, she wasn’t Xiao i at all.

"You’re not Xiao i?"

"Then who are you?"
