Since they hadn’t officially entered the scene yet, there were still staff mbers where they were standing.
But they were already appearing and disappearing like ghosts.
Just as Mu Yunchu finished speaking, soone suddenly appeared behind them.
"Don’t worry too much, that’s just our prop blood."
The haunted house had a hospital the, so having blood inside seed quite normal.
"To make the guests’ experience more realistic, we specially mixed in so scents..."
Along with the sll of disinfectant.
That way, when everyone enters, it will feel as if they’re really there.
"Wow."
Li Shang couldn’t help but clap.
Being able to make a haunted house with such details was impressive.
But her attention was on sothing else, "I want to know how many staff mbers are inside?"
Having staff ans more fun.
If they were all fake dolls and robots, it wouldn’t an anything to her.
"This..." The staff mber answering their questions showed an awkward expression.
She was afraid that saying too much might affect the guests’ experience.
"Co on, tell , I won’t tell anyone else," Li Shang insisted, determined to know the answer.
Staff mber: "..."
In the end, she had no choice but to say ’quite a few’ and then hurriedly sent the group inside.
Once they disappeared from her sight, she quickly took out her walkie-talkie to inform her colleagues in the haunted house, "Three people have gone in, be alert, be alert!"
Turning to sit in front of the surveillance screens, she constantly watched Mu Yunchu and the other two’s movents.
Partly to inform the colleagues inside responsible for scaring when to make an entrance, partly to see if anyone couldn’t handle the fright and chose to quit, so she could see it.
Inside the scene, Li Shang’s eyes glead with excitent.
Mu Yunchu, knowing what she planned to do, softly reminded, "Don’t go overboard."
aning she could cause so mischief, but not scare the innocent staff to the point of causing problems.
Li Shang nodded, making a gesture as if to say: Don’t worry, I got this!
In the eerie hospital-thed haunted house, the pale lights flickered on and off, casting bizarre twisted shadows of the three on the walls.
With the staff’s ticulous design, the mottled wall paint looked like tortured, twisted ghost faces, emitting a decaying, old sensation.
The narrow corridors were filled with a pungent "bloody sll," while the "wards" on either side occasionally emitted horrifying screams and faint crying sounds.
It was evident that the original designers had put much thought into the haunted house.
However... this was about it.
Li Shang walked ahead with high expectations, when suddenly, a staff mber wearing a ghost mask jumped out from a corner, clawing and roaring deafeningly, attempting to frighten her.
Li Shang rely glanced calmly, raising an eyebrow, sensing only a mortal’s aura from the staff mber. These pretentious antics appeared childishly amusing to her.
Only Ye Zhixia beside her scread.
Li Shang: "..."
Though the haunted house was dark, it couldn’t be completely black.
Since the designers needed participants to see the scary things to instill fear.
If it were completely black, it wouldn’t serve that purpose.
Even without nearby light, a completely dark scene had no effect on a ghost like Li Shang.
She glanced exasperatedly at Ye Zhixia beside her.
Not scared by the staff, but instead startled by her own companion’s reaction.
Shaking her head helplessly, she continued forward.
An eerie breeze whistled by, making the fake skeletons on either side creak and groan.
Imdiately, a "doctor" in a white coat, face covered in blood, burst out from a nearby door, waving a "scalpel" as if ready to strike her neck at any mont.
Li Shang didn’t even blink; with a flicker, she evaded the "doctor’s" lunge, leaving him to pounce at nothing and stumble almost into a fall.
The onlookers all felt a bit awkward.
The "doctor" raised the knife, standing still, his face red beneath the bloody mask.
In all his years working, he’d never felt so embarrassed.
So he could only pretend to chase others and left dejectedly.
A while later, at a corner, they were surprised to find a rather sophisticated chanism nearby.
The ground underfoot suddenly started shaking fiercely, as a giant "corpse" slowly rose from the ground. Li Shang stood there, bored, yawning, her blood-red eyes full of disdain.
What is all this!
No, these ghosts shouldn’t bother, let her handle it.
She’d definitely do better than these people.
Sighing almost imperceptibly, couldn’t she expect too much?
The disappointnt didn’t last long; in the darkness, she slowly curled her lips into a sinister smile.
Since it’s so boring, she might as well find entertainnt herself.
Li Shang gave a low hum, floated behind a staff mber posing as a corpse.
Instantly, the surrounding temperature plunged, and the air seed to freeze.
The staff mber, about to pop out and scare soone according to the script, shivered, inexplicably feeling a chill crawling up his spine.
Li Shang’s lips curled with a mischievous smile, her hair swiftly growing long, like slithering black snakes, silently entwining around the staff mber’s ankle.
The staff mber instinctively looked down, almost scared out of his wits.
Seeing a hand like dry bones rise from the ground, tightly gripping his leg, with her long, black hair wrapped recklessly around his ankle.
His legs turned to jelly, nearly collapsing, forcing himself to stay calm with eyes shut, repeating endlessly, "Hallucination, hallucination, I must’ve been here too long, hallucinating!"
Finding his persistence slightly amusing, Li Shang used her mana to bring the surrounding props "to life."
The IV stand bottles shook violently, clattering and splattering liquid like blood. Dummy corpses in the wards slowly sat up, creaking creepily.
The staff mber looked around in terror, eyes wide, the fear painted on his face nearly peeled off, the scare prop in his hand clattering to the floor.
Li Shang was thoroughly amused, floating to the ceiling, hanging upside down, her long hair cascading like a waterfall, her blood-red eyes fixated on the staff mber, looking as if ready to devour him whole.
Finally breaking down, he let out a chilling scream, scampering away hurriedly.
Mu Yunchu had wanted to stop her halfway through, yet didn’t.
Watching the person’s retreating back now, a swirl in her eyes, but uncharacteristically, she didn’t intend to scold Li Shang.
