[Vol. 6] Chapter 51: Reflection in the Mirror

After that brief yet powerful response, the girl remained silent for a long ti. Soon after, she let out a helpless laugh.

“Unbelievable… you and that Yuan Qianqiu really are two of a kind. No wonder you ended up together back then.”

Violet extended her hand forward. “Hand it over.”

[Huh? Oh, uh… my apologies… this frail body of mine may still linger for a short while longer, so I can’t give it to you right now. But if you only want materials like blood or scales—]

The priestess rolled her eyes and retorted irritably, “Who wants parts of your body? I’m not so dismbernt maniac. Give the [Feather of Destruction]. I’ll take on your request. As for paynt…”

She glanced around the area and casually picked up a peculiar-looking stone from the ground. Then, she turned back to the Qilin.

“Here, since this island is your ho, consider this as taking sothing of yours. Let’s call it even.”

[Violet…]

This ti, it was the Qilin’s turn to fall into a brief silence.

But soon enough, it shook its head, and for the first ti since their eting, it lifted its limbs and slowly rose from the ground.

[Are you ready? In my current state, once the [Feather of Destruction] is removed from its seal, there’s no turning back.]

With a soft *whoosh*, a long, radiant white priestess staff appeared in the girl’s hand. Her reply to the Qilin consisted of only a single word:

“Ready.”

A low, resonant roar echoed in response.

The strange beast nodded, letting out a clear and steady low growl. The barrier, which had previously been used to protect Yuan Zhi and Yuan Hong, once again radiated from its body. But this ti, in its full strength, it was even more solid, dazzling, and magnificent.

“Voom~~~~~~”

Seeing the sudden movent, the spirit guards and others who had been rushing over to investigate were imdiately pushed back forcefully, unable to make a single step forward. Inside, only the black-haired girl and the holy beast remained, along with a stone coffin that likely contained the true remains of the Western Saint, Yuan Qianqiu.

“What’s happening? Violet!?”

From a distance, Ling Feng’s startled voice quickly rang out. However, the priestess rely turned to give her and Bai’er a reassuring glance before refocusing her attention on the colorless feather beneath the Qilin’s feet, which was now gradually trembling and about to detach from this isolated island. The true core of the [Seven Stars Evil-Subduing Seal].

Taking a deep breath, she gripped her weapon tightly.

This was the first ti Violet was truly interacting with sothing related to the event that had once triggered the [Divine Catastrophe]. Facing the remnants of a force that even gods had struggled to resist, she was fully prepared to give her all.

The [Feather of Destruction] lifted from the ground and slowly ascended into the sky.

There was no blinding light or world-shattering phenonon. It was like an entirely ordinary feather.

*Dai dai… dai dai dai…*

But the barrier that had been nearly impossible for the [Yokai Controlling Sect] and its summoned creatures to move began to crack at a visible speed during this process. Even the seven massive pillars supporting the silver barrier over the inner sea began to crack, and the vast, seemingly polluted black streaks above the island quickly spread.

“As expected, that thing appeared because of this…”

[Violet! … It’s ti!!!]

The Qilin let out a low, tremulous roar. The thought that followed was laced with a slight tremor. Without relying on the [Seven Stars Evil-Subduing Seal], forcing the [Feather of Destruction] to break free from its seal seed like an impossible task for the weakened creature.

Without further hesitation, the priestess pointed the [Eternal Scepter of the World’s Heart] at the colorless feather that had risen to et her.

**Hwaaaa~~~**

A silent hum spread across the entire sky above the inner sea in an instant.

The divine will surged out, enveloping the source of destruction and preventing it from affecting the outside world. However, two completely different “laws” clashed violently at that very mont!

Violet felt it.

It was an empty, dead silence, beyond death, decay, and destruction—an absolute [Nothingness].

True void, as if before the Big Bang, when all things collapsed into a single point, and even space and ti did not exist. It was an absolute [Nothingness].

It was just a slight corner of this void, a thin force that couldn’t even be considered dust. Yet it beca a singularity in this world, causing everything to collapse inward. Any power attempting to fill, erase, or block this [Nothingness] would be erased by the concept itself.

But it was too small, which was why it could be temporarily sealed and suppressed in a manner akin to a moth flying into the fla.

What concerned Violet more, however, was what lay hidden behind this [Nothingness].

Following the faint, yet distinct invisible pull, the girl sent a strand of her divine will into it.

“Here…?”

In the vast and boundless expanse of emptiness, Violet saw a mirror.

It spanned between the heavens and the earth, as though it separated two worlds. There was nothing else here.

Standing before the mirror in the void, the girl’s reflection erged.

It was an existence similar yet different from Violet.

The rippling twilight shimred in the black hair, flickering like waves on a lake stirred by the breeze. The holy white robe adorned with feather-like patterns and the long scepter representing her identity as a priestess were held in hand. Her exquisite face remained unchanged, but it was her eyes, bright as stars, that marked the difference.

“…It’s you.”

She turned in the mirror, and under eyes that seed to contain the profound mysteries of the world, a faint smile appeared. One that was both incredibly familiar and yet completely foreign to the girl.

[I told you, we will et again.]

The priestess furrowed her brow slightly.

“Who exactly are you? The true culprit behind the divine catastrophe? Why are you appearing in my form?”

She smiled lightly and shook Her head.

[I am Violet.]

She said.

[I am your past, your present, and your future.]

This casual attitude and repetitive answers made the black-haired girl, as it had before, feel a little irritated.

She enjoyed pretending to be deep and mysterious in front of others, but when the roles were reversed, it made the curious Violet want to pull her hair out in frustration.

“Hey, hey, can you stop that? Why can’t you say things clearly all at once? Don’t think I won’t hit you just because you look like !”

But the girl with golden eyes remained unconcerned. She simply looked up at the sky, as if she had seen through the fog and could see the web of causality connecting everything.

[The gears are beginning to turn, but don’t worry… Violet, don’t feel burdened or confused. Do what you want to do, what you think is right. You are justice, you are the law, and your actions are the path to redemption… Just rember your na, and that is enough.]

“Hey… stop speaking in riddles, you jerk!”

Before Violet could stop her or react, she punched the mirror. But the figure had already started to fade into light, leaving the mirror empty, with only the echoes of the world remaining.

[Will we et again next ti? Heh… Let ti reveal that answer.]

“Wait, I have a few more questions…”

However, there was no response.

The mirror shattered, and the girl’s consciousness was returned to reality.

Before her, it was still the familiar lonely island.

“What a ss… I’ve never t anyone so annoying! If she dares to show up again next ti, I’m definitely going to beat her!”

Though she complained aloud, that brief, strange eting had indeed provided Violet with a lot of information.

At the very least, she could now confirm the reality of the dream she had once experienced, and… Violet was getting closer to it.

The evidence lay in the fact that the figure’s appearance had changed, which probably wasn’t a coincidence or an illogical shift.

As for why it chose to appear at this precise mont…

The comforting and joyous thoughts from the Qilin brought Violet back from her deep reflection.

[It seems you succeeded.]

“Hmm?”

Coming back to her senses, Violet was surprised to realize that the [Feather of Destruction], which had gathered the power of [Nothingness], had completely disappeared without a trace.

The barrier that had been continuously cracking around her had also stopped changing. Even the large black marks above the island no longer spread but instead seed to contract inward, as though losing their source, stabilizing the space like never before.

The Qilin retracted the barrier and lay down again with a sense of relief.

[As expected, the Supre Sacred Fox God was right. Only the fated one can resist and erase the [Feather of Destruction]. Thank you… Violet.]

[I don’t know exactly what happened just now, but you must have made great efforts to eliminate this threat at its source. Even if it was just part of it, it already shows a lot… This is wonderful. This world, our ho, has finally found hope.]

“???”

Unconsciously scratching her head, the priestess had three question marks floating above her head.

So… could soone please explain to the person involved what just happened?
