[Vol. 5] Chapter 260: Creation

“Sigh, here we go again…”

Standing in front of the blood-red giant tree deep in the jungle, Miss White Fox couldn’t help but express her faint resignation.

“Speaking of which, it’s impressive that it has grown this large without divine power assisting it.”

“After all, it was once a seed nurtured by the Goddess of Earth with divine power. Being corrupted into its current form must be hard for it as well…”

Turning her gaze to the girl with green hair who was gently stroking the surface of the blood tree, Violet nodded and spoke again to confirm.

“Theresa, do you really want to do this yourself? Although Sethlin has acknowledged that you possess this ability, it’s difficult for mortals to wield powers driven by divine will. You should understand the risks involved.”

“Hmm, Miss Dawn, I want to give it a try.”

The green-haired girl glanced to the side, revealing a sowhat lonely smile.

“Look, Leila and Rene, and even Miss Edwina are fighting on the battlefield. Miss Xiao Guang and Eudora can also provide assistance, but it seems I can’t do anything and often need protection from you and Her Divineness Sethlin.”

The montary sense of loss flashed away, and soon Theresa’s familiar innocence and silly smile returned, her hands clenched into fists as if to motivate herself.

“Hehe… Even I can do things on my own! I’m not just a ssenger for Her Divineness Sethlin!”

“Hmm…”

That’s true.

Ever since the first divine tree was planted in the Ten Thousand Demons Mountains, or perhaps even earlier, this little girl had always been eager to demonstrate her own worth and value. Violet had seen it all, but besides offering verbal comfort, she had no good way to address it.

After all, what Theresa cared about was indeed a reality.

“Since you want to try, then go ahead and do it. Don’t worry or hesitate. I will be here for you.”

“Okay! Miss Dawn, I will definitely succeed!”

Nodding, the white fox girl stepped back to join the others who were observing from a distance.

“Are we about to start?”

The question ca from Elrand Light, a missionary of the [Light Worshipper Church] dressed in a light gold robe, his shoulder-length hair shining brilliantly.

Along with him were Sasha, Xavier, and several other trusted high-ranking mbers of the [Light Worshipper Church] who had co to witness the event, as well as Violet and a few other companions.

By the way, Mr. Dead Soul was also present. Although it had previously attempted to forcefully activate its [False Ultimate Art] powers, resulting in a complete depletion of its SP, it seed to have bounced back in just a week, almost like an indestructible cockroach.

“Yes, just as I promised before, we will reshape this blood tree, allowing it to shed its corruption and beco a divine tree of life that nourishes the creatures and nurtures all things. Mr. Elrand, do not forget our agreent.”

“Of course, Miss Dawn, I look forward to that mont.”

During the conversation, the green-haired girl, standing beneath the shade of the blood-red tree, once again placed her palm against the trunk, which was thick enough for more than ten people to embrace.

The breath of life surged, creating a wave of energy. A greenish halo blossod from the girl’s palm, accompanied by her clear chant.

“Endless and cyclical, my na is Theresa. By the will of the Goddess of Life, Sethlin, child of life, please return to the point of origin!”

“Splash!!!”

Erald light spread upward, starting from Theresa’s palm, gradually enveloping the blood-red trunk and leaves of the giant tree. The blood tree vibrated and buzzed violently, as if it were a patient undergoing a high-intensity surgery, instinctively struggling and resisting.

A divine power, surging with such intensity that it seed beyond the grasp of re mortals, erupted from the green-haired girl, almost enveloping her in a dense erald halo.

“Hmm…!”

Clearly, Theresa was unable to smoothly and effortlessly control such imnse power. The green light shimred unsteadily, occasionally spilling over and falling onto the surrounding grass.

Whenever even a tiny bit of the energy touched the grass, which was only a few centiters tall and not even half the length of an adult’s finger, it would instantly surge upward, growing to a height that reached or even surpassed Theresa’s waist.

However, after this brief surge, like a side effect of excessive stimulation, the rapidly growing plants would quickly retract, becoming even smaller and more juvenile as if affected by a ti-reversing spell, eventually becoming completely unrecognizable and vanishing without a trace.

Such an absurd, magical, and incredible sight left even the many experienced observers present in awe, with expressions of astonishnt on their faces.

While they might think those plants had died, the white fox girl, with her superior vision and prior knowledge of so details, noticed that the soil where all the grass had disappeared actually left behind an almost invisible seed.

That was the truth of what Theresa was currently performing…. It’s no longer magic. It’s more like a divine miracle.

The green halo continued to spread upward along the branches of the blood tree, and the rustling sound of its trembling beca increasingly apparent. The sharp, protruding branches twisted and shrank, as if the blood tree was trying to suppress an instinctive urge to attack.

Such a human-like action naturally caused surprise among the onlookers, including Elrand.

“Miss Dawn, does this tree… really possess complete self-awareness? Is this also a blessing from the Goddess of Life?”

The white fox girl glanced at him.

“To be honest, I would like to affirm that, but the truth is that while divine power is mysterious and unpredictable, not all miracles from the gifts of the gods.”

“As a senior mber of the [Light Worshipper Church], Mr. Elrand, you should be able to fully understand this point, right? You worship the omniscient and omnipotent [Primordial Light], but how many true miracles has it really granted?”

Seeing the missionary suddenly fall silent, Violet continued speaking lightly, seemingly unconcerned.

“In my view, only sothing that does not exist can be truly omniscient and omnipotent.”

“Gods and humans are rely different expressions of life. As long as they are limited by form, there will inevitably be things they cannot do and information they cannot comprehend. In fact, the Goddess of Life has never interfered with the growth of this tree.”

“So, Mr. Elrand, to put it bluntly, do you really think that the ‘omniscient and omnipotent Primordial Light’ exists? If it is sothing that exists, how can it be truly omniscient and omnipotent? This has been a paradox from the very beginning.”

Just as the white fox girl felt secretly pleased, thinking she had struck a chord with him and was preparing to criticize the church for its nonsensical developnt and unwarranted praise, Elrand suddenly shook his head, his expression solemn and reverent.

“You are right, Miss Dawn, but you are also wrong. The [Primordial Light] does exist, and it is indeed omniscient and omnipotent because it exists and does not exist. Its presence transcends every corner of the river of ti, not even space can contain its outline.”

“To compare it to sothing tangible is itself a misunderstanding. It is too exalted to be defined by the cognition of mortals, making it seem ethereal and elusive.”

“…?”

Caught off guard by the missionary’s roundabout and seemingly mysterious remarks, Violet hesitated for a mont before she couldn’t hold back her urge to scoff.

“Uh… are you serious?”

However, Elrand remained unchanged, nodding seriously.

“I am indeed serious because our existence is the best proof of the Primordial Light’s existence.”

“We, the Lightborn Tribe, are the children born from the brilliance of the Primordial Light.”
