Without waiting for Violet’s urging, Esther continued to explain proactively.

“We, the Moon Shadow Wolf Clan, can draw strength from the essence of the silver moon, tempering our own bodies and magic cores. In other words, the moon is the source of our power.”

Glancing at the people around, who seed oblivious to the sound inside the layer and were being comforted by Leila with bewildered expressions, the wolf lady turned back and continued.

“In fact, there are two deities worshipped by our Moon Shadow Clan. One, of course, is the Lord of Ten Thousand Demons, the great Demon God. They are the source of belief and birth for us creatures of darkness, and there is no doubt about this.”

“But besides them, there is another deity deeply revered by our clan. That is the Moon Goddess Luna, who is said to have been friends with the Lord of Demons, symbolizing purity and nobility, and wielding the power of the night and the silver moon.”

“Lady Luna once intervened to save our Moon Shadow Clan from destruction in its early years and bestowed blessings upon us. That is why we Moon Shadow Wolves have the innate ability to draw essence from the moonlight.”

“Moon Goddess Luna?”

Violet murmured the na several tis, but didn’t say much else. She just pulled up a chair, sat down, rested her chin on her hand, and adopted a posture of “continue, I’m listening,” gesturing for Esther not to stop.

“Well, actually, our royal family...”

“Howl!”

Just as the Wolf Lady was about to speak, the silver-gray wolf cub on the table suddenly lit up its eyes when it noticed a certain black-haired girl appearing. With a soft and cute howl, it made a sprinting start and unexpectedly pierced through the barrier Violet had set up for soundproofing.

It pounced directly into the arms of the priestess, vigorously rubbing its head against her not-so-well-endowed chest and even making so indescribable astonishing moves.

“Woah! What are you doing, you little pervert wolf! Rubbing is enough, don’t lick, you jerk!”

“Howl!”

“La...lady Violet?!”

After a chaotic scene of uproar, the troublemaking fellow who behaved recklessly, like a real mischievous puppy, was finally restrained with so difficulty and firmly held in the arms of the truly imposing Esther.

Although Princess Novia continued to move restlessly, shaking her head and constantly casting longing glances toward Violet, the priestess who had just been “attacked” would definitely not allow her to succeed again.

However... this little troublemaker seed to have so skills. Although the barrier set up by Violet was only a casual one, mainly intended to prevent their conversation from leaking out, it didn’t an it lacked any actual defensive capability. Yet this silly little wolf cub managed to completely ignore it and charge inside?

Fortunately, due to the arrival of the priestess and the fact that they were discussing certain secrets, the others, under Leila’s arrangent, were very conscientiously moving away temporarily. This prevented too many eyes from witnessing the embarrassing scene that had just occurred.

After finally suppressing the embarrassnt and the blush on her face, Violet steadied herself, pretending as if nothing had happened, and resud her expression.

“Ahem! Please continue,” she said.

“Um... alright,” Esther responded.

While controlling the restless little wolf cub, Esther cast a slightly surprised and confused glance at the not-so-obvious hillock on the priestess’s chest, then quickly averted her gaze politely before swiftly returning to the previous topic.

“In fact, this is also one of our tribe’s secrets. If it weren’t for the events of last night, I wouldn’t have ntioned it... In the early days, the first generation of our Moon Shadow Wolf royal family, under the grace of beneficence, drank the divine blood of Lady Luna, the Moon Goddess.”

“The blood of gods is a sacred item more miraculous than any treasure in the world, containing unimaginable power. The miracles it bestows not only saved the Moon Shadow Wolves from extinction at that ti but also allowed our ancestors to transcend and fundantally change the entire tribe on a conceptual level.”

“As descendants of the ancestors who personally drank the divine blood, the royal family has the closest connection to the power of the moon within the tribe.”

“Therefore, on the night of the March full moon, when the moon’s power is at its strongest, Moon Shadow Wolves with royal blood can bathe in the moonlight to further break through. This is one of the main reasons why the royal family is stronger than ordinary Moon Shadow Wolves.”

“Last night, I noticed this, so before resting, I put the little princess’s cradle by the window. I thought maybe it would benefit her, but I didn’t expect...”

Holding the drastically changed little wolf cub in her arms, Esther lowered her head anxiously, like a child who had done sothing wrong.

“Lady Violet, so what exactly happened last night? How could the princess suddenly...”

Seeming afraid that she hadn’t explained clearly enough, the wolf lady took a few steps forward and leaned close to Violet’s ear, subconsciously speaking in a volu only they could hear.

“Could it be... related to the source of magic?”

The two won quickly separated again. The priestess stared at Esther with sincere pupils, devoid of any pretense or falsehood, holding her gaze for a mont before finally shaking her head.

“It’s hard to say. I only temporarily resolved the issue. As for the deeper reasons, I haven’t reached a conclusion yet.”

It seems Esther probably wasn’t lying.

The accident last night may have been truly an unexpected result of several coincidences. Perhaps the other party was just doing their duty, or perhaps her knowledge of the ‘Source of Magic’ was also incomplete.

Or perhaps... there was so hidden cause within it that they hadn’t noticed yet?

But from Esther’s current perspective, at least, the ‘Source of Magic’ and ‘Heir to the Moon Shadow Clan, Novia,’ probably couldn’t be completely equated. What kind of relationship exists between these two?

As discussions were underway, the key figures of the Spirit Puppet Tribe, naly the chief, Ini, and the self-proclaid right-hand person, Eilush, had already arrived at the scene.

The magical accident last night undoubtedly had the most severe impact on the puppets. If we apply the concept of robots, it’s akin to a prolonged power outage, resulting in blank records in their databases. They would imdiately notice that sothing was amiss upon waking up.

But since they had only just arrived, it indicates they had only recently been rebooted.

With all the key figures present, Violet called the little dragon girl from her pet space and briefly explained what had happened last night and her speculations.

However, when it ca to certain specific details, such as her magic reserves and replenishnt thods, Violet didn’t want to draw too much attention in front of so many people. She simply brushed it off, claiming to have used so rare disposable item.

After hearing this, everyone naturally had different expressions, all looking sowhat incredulous. However, Eilush and Ini exchanged a glance, and then Eilush nudged Ini’s arm and whispered quietly.

“Hey, second one, do you think it might be because of that?”

“Hmm? Because of what?”

It wasn’t Ini who asked this question but Miss Violet, who suddenly approached the two puppets.

“Wow! Can you please stop scaring people by popping out like that! Do you have microphones installed in your ears or sothing? They’re so sensitive!”

“But your own voice is quite loud...”

Violet helplessly shrugged and then looked at the chief, who still hadn’t spoken and only furrowed her brow, and spoke seriously.

“Miss Ini, if you know sothing, I hope you will tell us truthfully. According to reliable information, Novia may be related to sothing very important, possibly even involving so as-yet-undisclosed major disaster.”

“I’ve heard an old saying before: ‘Where there’s smoke, there’s fire,’ which is similar to the relationship between your Spirit Puppet Tribe and the Ten Thousand Demons Mountains. If it’s really so important secret, we can discuss it privately. I promise not to reveal anything to others.”

“This is a serious matter, so please consider it carefully, okay?”
