“Eileen...?”

After a mont of contemplation, Lan nodded.

“You’re referring to the current leader of the Ghost Thief Group, right? They confessed during the interrogation of the prisoners. Although Princess nna couldn’t catch her in the recent crackdown, she’s said to be just an ordinary person. Now that the Ghost Thief Group has been destroyed, even if Eileen managed to escape, I don’t think she can cause much trouble.”

“You’re mistaken. This Eileen, she’s definitely not ordinary.”

The priestess rested her elbow on the table, lifting a delicate, fair finger and swaying it from side to side in a negating gesture, her expression ambiguous.

“If I’m not mistaken, the leader of the Ghost Thief Group is just one of her identities, or rather, far from her most important one. Being able to successfully escape during the crackdown wouldn’t have been a coincidence. How about it, did Taylor not ntion this person to you?”

“No, although Eileen is nominally the leader of the Ghost Thief Group, the real person in charge who handles the exchange of intelligence with my father is soone else. He seems to have only heard of this na.”

“I see...”

With a hint of regret, Violet nodded her head and changed the subject once again.

“What about Silvester Bullwer, or the title ‘Summoner Alchemist’? Have you heard of that?”

“Summoner Alchemist?”

After careful consideration, Lan shook her head helplessly.

“Unfortunately, I’ve never heard of this na or title, at least not soone famous locally in the Demon Suppression City. Violet, where do you get all these strange pieces of information from?”

“Haha... it’s from so unique sources, but never mind if you don’t know. What about that little wolf cub, Novia Moon Shadow? Has there been any unusual occurrence recently?”

Bringing up the topic, Lan imdiately provided an answer.

“Not good, not bad. Her Highness called doctors, healers, and priests to examine her, and her vital signs are stable. However, she remains in a deep sleep for so reason, with no eating behavior, yet sohow still maintaining vitality, like those dormant creatures in winter. But the season is clearly not right now...”

“Mmm.”

The priestess replied vaguely, not adding anything else.

It was similar to the situation she detected last ti. The reason Novia remained asleep was because the soul of this wolf cub had entered a deep slumber.

As for surviving without eating or drinking, it might be due to consuming stored nutrients in her body or directly absorbing energy from the air. This wasn’t uncommon, as a mber of the divine race, Violet herself could do similar things.

Because she couldn’t quite grasp the reason for Novia’s supposed “Source of Magic” dormancy, Violet didn’t want to casually awaken her. It would be safer to wait until Novia was returned to the Ten Thousand Demons Mountains and let Tiyelu and the others handle it themselves.

But honestly, the whole situation felt a bit odd to Violet.

In simple terms, it was resolved too easily, or rather, the enemy didn’t demonstrate the resistance that Violet had anticipated.

She had just made a deal with the monsters and was preparing to do sothing when the unexpected appearance of little nna swiftly dealt with all the enemies.

Although there were so twists and turns along the way, honestly, there wasn’t really anything that could be considered difficult, as if everything had fallen into place naturally.

Of course, Violet was not doubting nna’s intentions. As Lilya’s biological sister, her position was definitely not in question, nor had she switched places with anyone or pretended to be soone else. Otherwise, there was no way she could have hidden it from Violet.

But the priestess had always been concerned about the prophecy ntioned by nna as the “Revealer,” about a future “disaster” that might occur in the north and south of the Human United Kingdom.

The disaster of the Abyss in the south, Violet had already witnessed with her own eyes, proving that nna’s prophecy was not false. But what about the north? Where did the disaster here go?

Regarding this matter, she consulted nna again later. However, the latter only indicated that the causal and power aspects involved in such a huge disaster were too nurous and too high.

The prophecy given by the Revealer was also very vague. She only knew that there was a possibility of a disaster occurring, but whether it would actually happen and how it would happen remained a question mark.

In simple terms, it was “unknown.”

But given the current situation in the Demon Suppression City, if things continued to develop this way, Violet really couldn’t think of anything that could suddenly trigger the kind of catastrophe comparable to the arrival of divine beasts.

She originally thought that the catastrophe ntioned by nna was due to humans stealing the “Source of Magic” and mismanaging it, leading to a series of serious consequences.

But now that Novia was being closely guarded by nna and Lan had confird that the little wolf cub’s vital signs were stable, what else could cause a disaster?

Was it because of the direct intervention of the Revealer, resulting in changes in the future? Or was it because of the presence of her, a special existence that was difficult to predict, causing unexpected changes in the tiline?

It was unknown, but the terrifying scenes brought by the disaster in the south still made Violet secretly vigilant. The appearance of the Abyssal Creatures before had caused the withering of tens of millions of lives. If it hadn’t been for the intervention of the priestess at a critical mont, the consequences would have been even more unimaginable.

Considering the existence of the Goddess of Withering, calling it a “divine-level disaster” was not an exaggeration.

Since it could be compared to nna, the situation in the north probably wouldn’t be simple either.

After each side pondered and organized the information they exchanged, Lan seed to think of sothing and suddenly spoke up.

“By the way, although I haven’t heard of this na, Silvester, there might be soone who knows. His na is Oliver. He is the actual manager of most of the Ghost Thief Group’s affairs, a trusted subordinate of the leader, Eileen, and also a senior mber of the Ghost Thief Group responsible for coordinating with my father.”

“When I ca to the Lord’s Mansion before, I bumped into him talking to my father. Later, when we were hunting down the remnants of the Ghost Thief Group, he was also captured and detained along with them.”

“What do you think? Do you need to go see him? nna instructed that you have the right to know all levels of confidentiality, so I can take you directly there.”

The priestess looked surprised for a mont, then nodded without hesitation.

“Of course, where is he?”

“He’s definitely locked up in the dungeon. If you want to go now, I don’t have much going on, so I can accompany you.”

“Mm...”

This ti, Violet didn’t imdiately respond. She just turned her head to glance at the obedient Tylissa standing behind her, then curiously scanned the surroundings of the garden.

“What about nna? It seems like she’s not at the Lord’s Mansion?”

The acting lord shrugged.

“Isn’t negotiations starting tomorrow? The princess went out to inspect the foreign races who have been protected. You know, many of them suffered severe ntal trauma or brainwashing during their ti as slaves, and a few even resisted rescue. It’s necessary to soothe and adjust their ntal state as much as possible, so that the subsequent transfer can proceed smoothly. It’s one of the most troubleso aspects of the job.”

“I see, that makes sense.”

That’s why Violet hesitated to extend a helping hand to those enslaved girls in the underground black market. It would have been easy to rescue them, but handling their ntal states afterward would be very complicated. If not handled properly, it could harm them, so careful consideration was needed.

“I had so things I wanted to discuss with you, but since nna isn’t here, let’s hold off for now. It’s a pretty significant matter, and both of you need to be present.”

“?”

Miss Lan tilted her head in confusion, her long twin ponytails swaying playfully. But if Violet was indicating as such, there wasn’t much more for her to say.

“Alright then, shall we head to the dungeons now?”

“Mm, if we can successfully extract the information we want, it couldn’t be better.”

If possible, Violet also wanted to take the opportunity to et the forr Lord of the Demon Suppression City, Taylor Tulls, who was also locked up in the dungeon. Despite everything that had happened, they hadn’t t face-to-face yet.
