“So, why did we co to the Sky Temple?”

Standing beneath the tower, which appeared sowhat desolate due to the tumult of last night and was now guarded by the military, the priestess looked sowhat helpless as she glanced at the green-haired goddess beside her.

To avoid trouble, she hadn’t greeted anyone in the embassy yet, nor had she awakened the sleeping little dragon girl. Quietly, she and Sethlin had slipped away.

By the way, it was certain that Rosa, who she had left lying at the embassy gate last night, was nowhere to be seen. Anyone who saw such a large half-dragon lying on the ground would undoubtedly rush to report to the authorities, and the news would eventually reach Felina’s ears.

This was Violet’s subtle way of informing the head of the embassy that she had returned. After all, as soon as the latter took this guy to the Feathered Emperor, they could naturally figure things out together.

Felina was very clever, she knew when to do what. The fact that no one ca for the routine check this morning and that the priestess’s room remained undisturbed indicated that.

“There are so matters that need to be explained to these descendants. After all, this is their territory. Oh, Violet, by the way, what about that village girl with the tree spirit bloodline from before?”

“You an Theresa? She’s doing fine. She’s probably in the embassy now. So, what’s so special about her?”

“That’s convenient... I’ll explain it to you later. Look, soone’s coming out.”

If no one ca, there must be sothing suspicious. With their distinct characteristics, the two seemingly extraordinary beauties stood at the door, neither entering nor leaving. One of them even dragged a stone sculpture behind her. If Violet were a guard, she would surely report to the higher-ups imdiately.

After the events of last night, everyone was understandably tense.

Coming out of the Sky Temple was one of the white-feathered priests who Violet had seen maintaining the “devices” last night. She rembered her vaguely.

The latter imdiately recognized the priestess, and just as she was about to co over excitedly to say sothing, she suddenly saw the presence of a certain goddess of life next to the black-haired girl, and her face instantly turned as pale as the wings.

Then, this seemingly delicate beauty fled in panic back into the temple, leaving the two of them staring at each other and the guards outside puzzled.

“Hey, Sethlin, your face really packs a punch.”

Violet almost forgot that Sethlin’s appearance was exactly the sa as the withered goddess who almost destroyed the city last night. Apart from the Feathered Emperor Estini, those priests in the temple had also seen her. Although there was a big difference in eye color, not many people would notice such details at first sight...

Sowhat gloating, the priestess told the green-haired girl beside her about the problem she had just thought of, and the latter looked helpless.

“What should we do then, go back today?”

“It’s not necessary. These things will have to be explained sooner or later anyway. Let’s wait a bit longer. I’m sure soone of higher status will co out soon.”

Sure enough, within a few minutes, a large group of people poured out of the tower, including fully ard temple guards, priests, and even Estila, the sister of the Feathered Emperor. Among them were also the temple priests, who had once had a chance encounter with Violet.

Estila imdiately spotted the two of them standing not far outside the door. Although her expression changed slightly upon seeing Sethlin’s appearance, perhaps the presence of the black-haired girl prevented the high priest from acting too rashly.

As a firsthand participant in last night’s events, Estila, while not clear on what exactly happened after Violet and the malevolent deity ascended into the sky, the successive fantastical visions that followed all proved the intensity of that battle.

Since the Sky City now stands unhard, it indicates that Violet must have defeated it, at the very least driven away, or reached so agreent with that fearso deity last night.

Therefore, she gestured to her subordinates to remain calm and approached the two won courageously.

“Little Violet? It’s great to see you’re safe. And this... could you please explain what happened?”

Perhaps because she had fought alongside the Goddess of Withering for a while herself, Estila, upon nearing, vaguely noticed the differences between Sethlin and her. After several changes in expression, she finally chose to speak thus.

“I told you not to add ‘little’ before my na. Why are you so stubborn...? Actually, we have so matters to discuss with the authorities of the Azure Sky Kingdom. Is it convenient now?”

“Discuss? Alright. It’s crowded outside. Shall we talk inside the temple?”

Glancing at the green-haired, green-eyed Sethlin, who was smiling, and then at the priestess, who looked displeased with her hands on her hips, Estila eventually agreed.

So, the three of them dismissed the guards and priests, entered the teleportation array alone, and returned to the real Sky Temple floating above the spire.

Compared to the dilapidation after the battle last night, it had been urgently repaired and maintained. At least the big holes in the walls had been patched up, and the scattered crystal shards on the central platform had been cleared away.

But at this mont, it was deserted, looking sowhat lonely and desolate.

“Alright, we should be able to talk quietly here. So, little Violet, and this... um, what should I call you?”

With a snap of her fingers, Estila conjured wooden chairs and a table. After they each took their seats, the priestess stared openly with curiosity at the two won before her, especially at Sethlin, who looked exactly like the “malevolent deity.”

Compared to the casual and gentle deanor towards Violet, Sethlin’s attitude towards Estila, although she didn’t put on any airs of superiority, was noticeably more subdued. If one were to insist, it was probably a matter of distance and mystery.

“Very impressive natural magic. No wonder the divine shard chose you as its vessel, little one. Are you interested in continuing to serve as my priestess? Although I can’t restore your strength to what it was when you first hosted the divine essence, with enough effort, reaching that level again is not entirely impossible.”

“Huh?”

The high priest was taken aback, perhaps not expecting the first words from the green-haired, green-eyed, gentle yet mysterious girl before her to be this.

In fact, both Violet and Sethlin could sense Estila’s current state, which could be described, at best, as a ss.

The truth behind the “blessing of the gods” was simply the power bestowed by the fragnt of the Goddess of Earth after becoming a living seal, allowing partial access to her power.

As for the 【The Sacrifice to the God】 ntioned by Sigrid, it was essentially a process of selecting the most suitable individual from among those with exceptional qualifications to wield this divine authority.

Winged beings were the descendants of angels and the Goddess of Earth—offspring born from the god. Naturally, they inherited so of the Goddess of Earth’s abilities and characteristics. For example, Hilda was proficient in plant magic, and Estila clearly shared this trait.
