Chapter 704: Chapter 43: I Just Want to Take Those Like Away

“Bang!”

Lair was thrown into the warehouse, and the children inside were startled awake, looking at him with fear on their faces.

Then Torre, with a head full of blood, quickly walked up to Lair, kicked his body viciously, cursing angrily, “You damn bastard, now are you satisfied? Tell , you filthy dog, are you satisfied now!”

Lair was like a heap of rotten mud, showing no reaction.

Harlow stepped forward to stop Torre, “Okay, okay, don’t really kill him.”

“What if I do? After what he did, do you think this guy can still survive?”

“Of course he can’t, but he can’t die tonight,” Harlow advised, “Don’t forget his identity; the proper procedures still need to be followed.”

Torre then cald down, rembering this guy still had a Reserve Gold rchant identity, and he indeed couldn’t be killed on the spot, at least they had to report to the headquarters and notify the Gold rchant who gave him the Contract Seed.

“Pah!” Torre spat angrily on Lair’s face, “Just wait, I’ll kill you tomorrow morning!”

With that, he turned and left, leaving only Harlow and Lair, along with a group of children.

Harlow first glanced at the “goods” in the warehouse; seeing no one dared to make a sound, he slowly approached and squatted in front of Lair.

“Why did you do it?” Harlow said calmly, “Your wife is gone, and you couldn’t save your son, now you’ve sacrificed yourself, was it really worth it? You could have had a better life, but you abandoned it all with your own hands.”

Lair did not respond; his eyes showed no vitality, as if he was dead.

With a “click,” a cigarette was lit by the fla and then placed in front of Lair’s mouth by Harlow.

“Think it over.” Harlow rose and left, “Think about whether it was all worth it.”

Just as Harlow was about to exit the warehouse, Lair, who had been silent for a long ti, suddenly spoke, “It was you, wasn’t it?”

Harlow stopped, “What?”

“My village never had outsiders visit; in all these years, it was only you! Even Contract Land is unknown to its location!” Lair stared fixedly at Harlow, “Only you knew, you sold this information… it was you!”

Harlow turned to look at Lair, his previously indifferent eyes grew cold again.

“You’re indeed a dog that can’t be raised right,” Harlow said slowly, “I originally didn’t want our relationship to beco too deadlocked, just in case you survived tomorrow, we could still cooperate like before, but now it seems impossible.”

“You…”

Before Lair could finish, Harlow suddenly stepped forward and kicked him in the abdon.

“I’m the one who brought you out, without , you’d already be with your family!” With all pretenses off, Harlow showed no desire to continue pretending, his eyes full of murderous intent, “You damned mongrel, not knowing gratitude is one thing, but daring to retaliate against … ahh!”

Harlow cried out because Lair bit into his calf.

“You filthy dog!” Harlow kicked the back of Lair’s head with his other foot, making Lair relent, “Alright, since you’re so eager to know, I’ll tell you. Yes, I sold your village’s location, and it was five years ago, when I brought you out… no, that’s not right. Strictly speaking, those village locations were my targets, and you were rely a bold wild dog picked up along the way towards achieving them!”

Lair let out a painful wail, his mouth full of blood, his voice shrill and unclear.

“Satisfied now? What bull about changing fate, about making your family understand they’re wrong… I’ll tell you, the truly wrong person is only you!” Harlow roared, “You really think you and your family are the sa as us? In my eyes, you and your family are nothing but monkeys wearing clothes! I gave you a chance to pretend to be a person, but that doesn’t an you really are one! You bunch of things without faith, past, or future, all go to Hell!”

Harlow’s final kick directly broke several of Lair’s ribs.

Lair vomited blood profusely, eventually exhausted of all strength, collapsing like mud, motionless, yet the anger in his eyes had not dissipated.

Harlow took deep breaths for quite a while before recovering, then glanced again at the children in the warehouse who were all terrified, suddenly thinking of sothing, and laughed.

“Now that you ntion it, I just sneaked a look, your child was sent to Rhein, yes? And if I’m not mistaken, a month ago you were in Rhein too, and encountered such a convoy.”

Lair’s pupils widened swiftly, naturally caught by Harlow, which made his smile grow wider.

“Looks like I guessed right, your son really is on that convoy… haha, how amusing. Does this an you personally sent your son to…”

“Harlow!!! Cough cough cough…”

“Haha, shouting here won’t do any good,” Harlow said blandly, “You should count yourself lucky that at least your son never knew what kind of thing you truly are.”

That statent drained the last of Lair’s strength entirely; he lay weakly on the ground, making no sound even after Harlow left.
