“Hey, hey, hey!” Lair was startled, “What’s going on?!”
He looked over, and then his pupils instantly dilated.
Because he saw a young boy’s face through the door, but the hand he extended was full of abnormal blocky muscles.
What is this monster?!
“Help !” The boy shouted at Lair, “Please, save !”
Lair hadn’t reacted yet when two night shift Black rchants heard the commotion and rushed over imdiately.
“Damn, how did this guy break free?”
“You idiot, what are you standing there dumbfounded for?! Get out of the way!”
And so, Lair was roughly shoved aside, the boy’s nails pierced through his clothes, leaving two bloody marks on his shoulder.
But that was it; the two night shift Black rchants skillfully stuffed the boy back and then started punching and kicking.
Lair still hadn’t co to his senses, but Harlow calmly explained beside him, “See, this is what it looks like when a spell induction fails. Our spells are still not quite proficient. We originally planned to induce it well and then sell it to Rhein over there to make so extra manual fees, only… tsk, tsk. If you can get the specific usage of the induction spell from Rhein after becoming a Gold rchant, I’m willing to give you thirty percent… how about it?”
“Hmm… ah, no problem.” Lair ca to his senses and said sowhat absentmindedly, “Thirty percent, just thirty percent.”
“Then it’s settled, let’s go.” Harlow continued walking forward.
Lair took one last look back at the deford boy who lay dying on the ground.
He didn’t say much more and prepared to catch up with Harlow.
Just as he turned around, he heard the boy behind him mumbling unconsciously.
“Dad, Mom… save… …”
His body trembled for a mont, but he didn’t stop, even quickened his pace, escaping from there.

“Alright, so it’s agreed.” To show his sincerity, Harlow smiled and said, “Before you succeed, I can give you ten percent of the profits first, consider it an investnt in you… you won’t let down, will you?”
“What do you think?”

“Oh…” Lair asked “nonchalantly”, “then would you go to No-man’s Land?”
At this question, Harlow understood what he was thinking and laughed, “Of course not, No-man’s Land is the property of the Contract Land, it’s the only place we won’t touch, at most those who voluntarily co out with us, like you. You’re different from them, aren’t you? Your child is also different from theirs.”
“Of course.” Lair straightened his chest, “I’m way tougher.”
“Right, right, future Gold rchant, do well, let your child live a life above others in this world,” Harlow laughed and left these words before turning away, “hope next ti we et, you’ll be a real Gold rchant.”
Lair didn’t speak; he only took out a match once Harlow’s figure had vanished from his sight, but couldn’t strike a fla after several attempts, as the earlier scene kept replaying in his mind, causing his hands to tremble slightly.

Then with a “snap,” the fla ignited.
He greedily took a long drag, trying to erase that strange feeling in his heart.
“This world is just like this.” In the swirling smoke, Lair softly said, “It’s got nothing to do with .”
Then he heard a mocking laugh in his mind.
“Oh, really?”
