"Nia, you're here again, just as I thought."

The red-haired, black-eyed girl withdrew her gaze from the grand Order Sword and turned to look at the little girl skipping towards her.

"Good afternoon, Ju." Hewinia greeted earnestly.

"Hi, no need to be so formal." Ju waved her hand. The once sowhat withdrawn little girl had been revitalized just like the city beneath their feet, her once lifeless eyes now brimming with vibrancy and energy. "I guessed you'd be here; even though you're not a Lyra native, you're so invested in the Order Sword. Can you tell why?"

Hewinia hesitated slightly.

Indeed, ever since her injuries had mostly healed, she frequently ca to the Order Sword and stayed for long periods. But it wasn't any particular intention, just pure curiosity and a sense of strangeness.

She could feel that the current Order Sword was once the Lyra God, the deity's body standing tall on this land in the form of a sword, which was unimaginable for Hewinia. After all, during the Holy Sound period, she had risked her life to drive the Holy Sound Master away from that land.

In her view, gods and mortals could not coexist; they were enemies in a never-ending conflict.

Yet now, under the Order Sword, a symbol of divine authority in Lyra, the scene was entirely different from what she had imagined.

During her recovery, she witnessed firsthand how the people of Lyra gradually rebuilt the broken city from ruins. Although it was still far from the world-renowned chanical City of the past, the vitality and sense of hope in the people of Lyra were sothing Hewinia never felt in the Holy Sound.

All of this was accomplished under the Order Sword, and in Hewinia's understanding, "vitality" and "hope" were inherently contradictory to divinity.

This is why Hewinia kept returning to the Order Sword, ticulously observing "Him," trying to see what made the current Lyra different from Holy Sound.

After all, besides Visas, she was probably the only one who had closely interacted with both the Lyra God and the Holy Sound Master, making her the most suitable to comnt on it.

However, the current state of the Lyra God was not good; most of the ti, He felt to Hewinia as if He was asleep, only occasionally opening His eyes to observe the land. It was only in those brief monts that Hewinia could capture His aura.

And this aura was unlike the once overwhelming Holy Sound Master, strong and imposing, suffocating even. Instead, it resembled a stern yet kind father, with a gaze that cast upon the world both strictness and benevolence.

But can gods truly love mortals?

Hewinia didn't know if it was just her imagination, which is why she kept coming back and observing relentlessly.

Yet, these matters were complicated to disclose to Ju, given that Holy Sound was still pursuing her. Knowing too much about her wasn't good for a child.

"Alright, if you don't want to say, you don't have to." Ju, noticing Hewinia's hesitation, waved considerately, "I was just asking casually. Ina asked to find you, seems like sothing important."

"Miss Ina?" Hewinia perked up slightly, "Alright, I'll head back now."

Ina was Ju's guardian and a senior figure in Lyra; otherwise, she couldn't have sheltered her from the Holy Sound's pursuit. Ina had been taking care of Hewinia all this ti.

Although Hewinia knew it was Bai Wei who led her to Ina, Ina was unaware of Bai Wei's existence. Over ti, Hewinia also learned from Ina about her great father, a heroic figure, Gerard, who sacrificed himself in the divine war.

Based on Ina's accounts, Hewinia guessed that Gerard was Bai Wei's forr partner before her.

So, in a way, Gerard was her predecessor.

She sighed inwardly, lanting that she couldn't greet this special predecessor anymore.

Behind her, the Order Sword stood like a silent old man, watching the two girls go further away.

Although Ju ntioned it was very important, she still walked leisurely, not in a rush, and enthusiastically asked Hewinia about the Holy Sound as they walked. The music note magic was simply too alluring to Ju, who had grown up in chanical City, so much so that she saw the Seven Notes on Hewinia as art pieces, constantly reaching out to touch them.

The information wasn't too dangerous, so Hewinia was naturally willing to share with Ju. As she answered Ju's various questions, she also observed the sides of the road.

It had been two months since the divine disaster that shocked the world. The people of Lyra were still rebuilding their city, a difficult task since they were once mostly part-machine. With most machinery unusable after the disaster, they suddenly beca disabled. Thus, they had to salvage any usable machinery from the ruins. Those irreparably broken had to be replaced with very primitive technology, creating a fascinating contrast of the primitive and the trendy, which was quite interesting to watch.
