Chapter 459: 74 Basent

Bai Wei swiftly traversed the First Academy after nightfall.

Relying on the [Gaze] of his left eye and his nurous runs through this map in the ga, he easily avoided the guards and arrived at the core area of the academy—the front of the Seven Sounds Temple.

This is also the venue for the final ceremony in a month’s ti, where the last orchestra will hold its final competition, and the Holy Sound Master will make the judgnt.

In other words, this is the closest place to the Holy Sound Master.

Standing in front of the temple, Bai Wei could feel the imnse power hidden above the heavens.

This made Bai Wei realize that once he stepped into the temple before him, there was a high probability that he would be discovered by the Holy Sound Master, which is unacceptable to him now, as he does not yet have the power to contend against a flawless divine being.

In fact, Bai Wei’s presence here now is already risky.

But there’s no choice; if he doesn’t co to check it out now, the risk afterwards will be even greater.

Because the Holy Sound Master is usually in a dozing state and does not react much to the outside world. Only when the ceremony begins and the first tune plays, does the Master slowly awaken.

The awakening takes a process, like it only takes less than a second for an ordinary person to open their eyes, but the Master needs three days.

These three days encompass the entire process from the beginning to the end of the ceremony. When the Master is fully awakened, reaching peak spirit and power, the final and most outstanding music will also play, reaching the climax of everything.

And after all this, the Master bestows blessings and begins the next cycle of slumber.

This has been the norm for millennia without exception.

Of course, if Bai Wei were to break in at this ti, an exception would certainly occur, with the Holy Sound Master waking up prematurely.

Because every divine entity is exceptionally sensitive to Visas’ power.

In the ga, when players bring more than two Corpse Blocks and enter the temple ahead of the ceremony, they are instantly executed by the supre power, regardless of their level or equipnt.

Even Corpse Blocks are dealt with this way, much less souls entering.

If it were still in the ga, Bai Wei would definitely try to rush in to see the cutscene, but since the ga has turned into reality, it’s better not to.

Returning to the previous question, the reason Bai Wei is risking coming here at this ti is for only one reason—he needs to prepare a retreat.

This situation is far more dangerous than when he was in Rhein or Lyra.

In Rhein, his opponent was a Bishop who could not directly contact the Rhein God, posing no risk as long as Ulu was willing to allow a Second Rank Descent, and everything could be settled.

In Lyra, his opponents were two hostile, insane, disabled divine entities, posing so risk, but with caution, acting at the last mont, he escaped the danger.

But this ti it’s different.

Snatching back a Corpse Block right under the nose of the flawless divine Holy Sound Master is a test, and managing to escape without alerting the Master of his return with the Corpse Block is an even greater test.

And honestly, Bai Wei does not think that Hewinia’s body can hold out until that ti.

So, Bai Wei must begin preparations for his escape now.

Glancing again at the towering temple before him, Bai Wei did not proceed forward but turned away, taking a rugged, seemingly doubtful path around the mountain intended for human passage.

This is a hidden road known by very few, but almost all players in the ga know it.

Through this path, one could enter the temple’s basent without going through the main entrance.

Theoretically, walking this path would not be detected by the Holy Sound Master.

Of course, it’s only theory; the risk remains substantial.

But compared to the potential reward, the risk is worth taking, or at least worth a look.

Thus, after a seemingly thrilling dash through the map, Bai Wei successfully found and entered the narrow passage, heading deeper toward the basent.

The basent was quite simple, with a rusty lock hanging on the door, seemingly breakable with a little force.

At first glance, the basent didn’t seem special; newcors wouldn’t suspect it held anything valuable.

And indeed, it was just an ordinary basent where soone hid a precious item, sothing even Bai Wei wanted to possess.

Bai Wei’s left eye slightly contracted.

[Gaze] spread silently.

His vision penetrated through the rusty iron door, going deeper.

Finally, he saw what was bound at the very depths,

a hazy shadow.

But before Bai Wei could look closely, he felt a change in the surrounding power and imdiately closed his eyes, shutting off [Gaze].

Only then did everything return to normal.

Bai Wei slightly furrowed his brow.

Because the source of that power change was… the Holy Sound Master.

Why so sensitive?

Was it that even a re gaze would provoke a reaction from the Holy Sound Master?

This gave Bai Wei a rather ominous feeling, so he slowly reached out toward the lock on the basent door.
