The Dean looked grim, his eyes darting between Karen and Hewinia, but they finally landed on Karen.
“Explain yourself,” the Dean said, “Karen, what are you doing?”
“Hmm?” Karen tilted his head, speaking with a slight amusent, “Do you really need to ask? Didn’t you all see it? Do I need to cover it up again for you? I an, I can do that if that guy is willing to cooperate.”
The Dean looked at Karen coldly, “If you think I’m joking with you, then feel free to keep joking around, but even the Chuke family can’t protect you from what happened tonight.”
“…Alright, alright.” Karen shrugged, “Just tell who’s dead, is it my unlucky brother?”
Standing behind the Dean, Todd yelled angrily, “Karen!”
The Dean raised his hand to interrupt Todd, then continued to ask, “Didn’t you feel the alert from the bracelet?”
“How could I not?” Karen slowly raised his left hand, showing the bracelet on his wrist which was still glowing fiery red, “This thing burned pretty bad. Ah, and not just , when I shoved this thing into that woman’s body, she scread so… Alright, I’m kidding, you all saw it anyway, my alert system is still on.”
“Then why did you remain unmoved?”
“Unmoved?” Karen looked at the Dean, smiling again, “I’m not the one who died, why should it concern ? Besides, you’re scared of that guy, but I’m not. It should be clear to you, that guy won’t co looking for .”
As he spoke, he pointed to the notes covering his tumor-ridden body.
“Would he really want notes like mine? Would he dare want them? You should all know this, and these things are innate for , do you think he can replicate them?”
“So, I’m the least likely to be targeted by that guy, he knows it, and you know it too.”
“Since that’s the case, why should I get involved in your affairs? What if I get injured by mistake stepping out? ”

“Go ahead.” Karen shrugged. He wasn’t wearing clothes anyway, just covered his privates with a blanket. When the Dean said he’d inspect him, he even made a playful face at the staff present, then swiftly pulled the blanket away, “Here, take a look.”
He had no sense of sha at all.
Hewinia could only lower her head in embarrassnt, pretending to be helpless.
The Dean spared no more words, raising his magic wand and pointing it at Karen.
In less than a minute, he withdrew the wand.
“Well, no problem.”
“I told you, no one can mimic .” Karen said flatly, “If soone can steal what I have, then good for them, why act unnecessarily?”
“Even if it’s not you, you’ll still be punished, Karen.” The Dean said calmly, “At the very least, school rules prohibit bringing soone of the opposite sex in.”
“I’ll admit to that.” Karen chuckled, “Better yet, make it into a formal notice and post it up… Oh, make sure to include my full na, Karen Chuke. Our Chuke family is always straightforward, nas are not to be omitted.”
“Rest assured.” The Dean said lightly, “It will be noted.”
Then the Dean turned around, walking past Todd whose face was purple with anger, and stood in front of Hewinia.
“Alright, Miss Hewinia.” The Dean’s tone was not as harsh as when addressing Karen, it even carried a slight smile, “Next it’s your turn, please tell us about your situation… you know, sothing big happened tonight, I have to collect everyone’s information.”

Hewinia knew very well, the Dean didn’t suspect Karen the most, it was her.
And what he said to Karen earlier was just to show everyone he was following procedures and rules, not targeting her.
After all, she was still the principal’s favorite student on the surface.

“Good, then let’s proceed as before, each one has to go through this.” The Dean smiled and said, “Can I see your bracelet?”
Hewinia nodded, then raised her hand.
Her bracelet, like Karen’s, was a fiery red, resembling a branding iron.
“So, you were also alerted.” The Dean said, “In that case, where were you at the ti? In the dorm?”
“No.” Hewinia shook her head, “I was in the study room.”
“The study room?”
“Yes.”
“Forgive for being presumptuous, Miss Hewinia, what were you doing in the study room at this hour?”
Hewinia hadn’t had ti to explain when a staff mber rushed in: “Dean, we couldn’t find Miss Hewinia in the dorm, we only found a… eh?”
