TL: Etude
“Have I covered everything about the future developnt plans? Do you have any feedback for ?”
Jiang Qin’s gaze swept across the people in Room 208.
“Boss, it seems like the marketing departnt is short-staffed. Although we haven’t stopped recruiting from the public, it’s still not enough to et our imdiate needs.”
Wei Lanlan relayed the issue reported by Bao Wenping.
With only twelve people in the marketing planning departnt and the expanding scope of promotions, a staff shortage was inevitable. To maintain the pace of promotions, more hands were needed in the departnt.
“Alright, I’ll take care of this matter.”
After Jiang Qin spoke, he patted the table, “You guys continue to enjoy the air conditioning in the office, relishing the cool breeze, while your handso boss has to brave the scorching sun, fighting on the streets for your future happiness!”
Su Nai, with a serious face, pushed up his glasses, “Boss, you’re shaless. Please rember who’s working for whom, okay?”
“You can also see it as working for all of you, which should make your work more enthusiastic!”
“Damn, so bosses are like this, completely lacking boundaries, which is why their business keeps growing.”
Wei Lanlan thought Su Nai was going to curse the boss into bankruptcy, but the last sentence took a surprising turn, almost leaving her breathless.
By this ti, Jiang Qin had already left the Entrepreneurship Center and arrived in the city center, parked his car, and started wandering aimlessly along Xinghong Avenue.
His visit was actually to inspect the areas in the city center where promotions had been launched.
A good boss always controls the company’s overall direction but should never lose touch with the grassroots. Field inspection is vital for obtaining direct, frontline market feedback.
“Damn, it’s so hot.”
Arriving at a supermarket entrance, Jiang Qin couldn’t help but buy an ice-cold Coke.
The onset of midsumr brought blazing sunshine, and the pedestrians stuck to the shady sides of the streets, hurrying along.
Such weather was actually beneficial for group purchase promotions.
Due to the high outdoor temperatures, people couldn’t stay outside for long. Those looking to shop wouldn’t wander around looking for stores, so searching online for nearby rchants and services beca the best choice.
If you fancied a store and wanted to spend there, the group purchase packages were cheaper than offline options, and real reviews helped avoid pitfalls. Who could resist that?
Jiang Qin continued along the shade and turned into the comrcial street behind the Golden Apple Community.
After a round of aggressive promotions, this street had completely transford into a group purchasing hub, with every shopfront displaying discount posters.
These rchants were now both partners and promoters of group purchasing.
Jiang Qin randomly entered a shop, ordered a chicken rice dish, and noticed a poster on the wall opposite: “Give a five-star review when ordering through group purchase, and get a free tea egg or sausage.”
“Hey, young man, give a good review, and here’s a sausage for you.”
“Boss, doesn’t this kind of deal hurt your business?”
“Not at all. Once I get a lot of good reviews, my shop appears on the hopage. Losing a couple of bucks but gaining dozens of custors could an more profits.”
Jiang Qin appeared to have an epiphany, praising the boss’s business acun. Believing such a mindset would bring great wealth, he then focused on his al, earning a 1.5 yuan share from his 15-yuan chicken dish, and even snatched a free sausage.
After touring the surrounding streets, Jiang Qin drove to Linchuan University of Technology to address the staffing shortage in the marketing departnt.
The pace of social recruitnt was too slow, so the best solution was to transfer part-ti workers from the university town.
With group purchase promotions gradually shifting eastwards, closer to the university, the university team was the first choice. He planned a bilateral collaboration between the two teams.
Especially since, after the second wave of in-store group purchase marketing, all university teams would be idle.
Particularly the part-ti workers in the market team had a lot of free ti without the need to visit rchants.
Jiang Qin wasn’t a capitalist who exploited labor to the extre, but paying for idleness wasn’t his style either.
Ten minutes later, Chen Anhua and Cong Yi, responsible for Linchuan University, hurriedly arrived at Xi Tian Milk Tea Shop.
“The ground promotion of group purchase has reached the eastern district. Starting from the business street, support the marketing departnt. Cong Yi, lead the market team to visit rchants, and Chen, lead the rest in cooperative promotions.”
“Also, there’s a significant difference between campus and social promotions. The marketing departnt has more experience in this area, so I’ll arrange for Lanlan to show you their work model and thods.”
Chen Anhua and Cong Yi understood the boss’s intentions and nodded, but they felt slightly uneasy.
As university students used to marketing within the campus, they had the ho-field advantage, and dealing with fellow students was less stressful.
But this was purely social marketing, and university students, still sheltered in their ivory towers, often held a hint of awe towards the complex and ever-changing society.
Moreover, the staff in the group purchase marketing departnt were seasoned social workers, seemingly more experienced and mature, making them feel sowhat inferior.
“Boss, can we really keep up with the pace of the marketing departnt’s work?”
“What’s impossible about that?” Jiang Qin didn’t see any issue at all.
Cong Yi couldn’t help but purse her lips. “But we’re definitely not as professional as the colleagues in the marketing planning departnt. What if we hold them back?”
“Don’t think that working people are necessarily very professional. In fact, they also muddle through their tasks, and might not even be as good as you. Just go for it.”
“Okay, boss, we will try our best.”
Jiang Qin looked at Cong Yi and Chen Anhua. “Don’t feel pressured. Venturing into society is sothing college students must eventually face. Consider this as an early internship. Once you really leave campus, your adaptability will definitely be stronger than your peers.”
“You’re right, boss. This is a training opportunity for us.” Chen Anhua encouraged himself.
Jiang Qin nodded and sipped his milk tea.
In fact, from the mont the group purchasing team stepped out of the campus, the ntality of the part-ti team had begun to change gradually.
Just like Wei Lanlan and Tan Qing, they were also very nervous the first ti they went to liaise with the business and marketing departnts, worried that their youthfulness would prevent them from being taken seriously.
Everyone else was an experienced social worker, seasoned in the “big dye vat” of society. For a college student to instruct them seed presumptuous. Getting it right was fine, but if wrong, wouldn’t it be laughable?
But having worked for so many years, Jiang Qin understood the current workforce well. Most of them were just making do, with no real professionalism.
So people might work a job for half a lifeti but remain at a beginner’s level.
Except for high-end departnts, there wasn’t much innovation or specialized research. Everyone followed templates: using templates for PowerPoint presentations, reports, even web design and planning. Apart from smooth social skills, there wasn’t much to admire.
“Alright, go back and prepare well. I’ll have Lanlan contact you in the afternoon.”
“Okay, we’ll wait for Sister Lanlan’s call.”
“I’ll head back first then. Have a milk tea before you leave, order anything you like. Your boss lady loves treating people. Rember to thank her in the group chat later; she’ll be happy.”
Jiang Qin joked as he stood up, took his car keys, and prepared to leave. Then he noticed the custors at the third table behind him staring intently.
They were not strangers, quite the opposite. He recognized each one of them.
Yu Shasha, Gu Tiantian, and a twin-tailed girl who had acted as a promoter during the opening of the Xi Tian Milk Tea Shop’s university branch.
Along with them were Chu Siqi and Wang Huiru, who he hadn’t seen in a long ti. University life was quite leisurely, and it was not unusual for high school friends like Yu, Wang, and Chu to visit each other’s campuses.
However, when Chu Siqi saw Jiang Qin looking over, she noticeably averted her gaze, her expression becoming tense.
The sa reaction was mirrored by Gu Tiantian, who had previously insisted on becoming Jiang Qin’s “boss lady.”
“Jiang Qin, what brings you to Linchuan University?” Wang Huiru waved at him.
“Just enjoying the good weather, walking around Linchuan University, and handling so business.”
After speaking, Jiang Qin looked towards the barista, “This table is my friends. Give them a free al.”
The barista imdiately nodded, “Sure thing, boss.”
“It’s been a long ti. Why don’t we sit together?” Wang Huiru couldn’t help but invite him.
Actually, Jiang Qin didn’t have a bad impression of Wang Huiru. This girl, unlike her friends, had reasonable views and sufficient emotional intelligence. He wouldn’t mind sitting down for a chat with her alone.
But with Chu Siqi there, he felt there wasn’t much to talk about.
Facing this forr class beauty, Jiang Qin no longer felt any thrill; he could confront her indifferently. But a chat was out of the question – his ti was too valuable.
“Maybe next ti. I have so things to handle right now. I’ll ask you out so other ti.”
“Alright then.”
Jiang Qin turned and left Xi Tian Milk Tea. Chu Siqi and Gu Tiantian at the table beca distracted.
Yu Shasha, observing this, thought to herself that her crush was indeed invincible. “He’s gone now. Don’t be silly, let’s drink our milk tea.”
Chu Siqi bit her lip, “The boss lady he ntioned who likes to treat people, that’s Feng Nanshu, right?”
“Siqi, don’t ask anymore. Just think of Jiang Qin as an ordinary high school classmate. Forget about him, and you’ll feel much lighter.”
“…”
Gu Tiantian looked at Yu Shasha in surprise, then at Chu Siqi, who was visibly taller than herself. Seemingly understanding sothing, her mood sank even further.
