Next Morning...

Eleanor had her arms warped around Aaran as she let her head rest upon his bare chest. All her thoughts that weren't about him stopped, as if her heart had taken over the head when they were close.

The next mont she squeezed his body as if she needed to check he was there with her, to see if it was all real and not a dream. And real it was. Aaran was lying next to her, in body and soul. She doubted anyone else ever felt the way she did.

She slowly caressed his face while he slept like a baby.

"Do you really have to leave…?" She sighed.

Eleanor thought one night with him would be enough. Only after the passionate night did she realize that one night had lit her heart on fire. Even now, she wanted more.

"We both know I have to," Aaran replied.

Eleanor's eyes widened, and she hastily covered her face. She didn't want Aaran to look at her with bed hair and whatnot. None of it mattered to Aaran. He gently grabbed her hand, pulling them apart and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"You're perfect, just the way you are."

Aaran said those words to comfort her, but it backfired. Eleanor's face visibly turned red as she jumped off the bed, gathering what little garnts she had brought along, and rushed out of the room.

Aaran shook his head and smiled.

"…what a strange girl."

A couple of hours later, Aaran was all set to leave. The Emperor didn't co to see him off since he had things to deal with, a.k.a the Marki. But there was no shortage of people who ca to bid their farewell.

Eleanor, Donovan, Leon and Seraphina, they were all there.

Leon apologized for Seraphina's childishness for what happened last night, but Aaran dismissed it. He was equally to bla since he put her in danger.

As for Donovan, he didn't say much. He just gave him a letter the Emperor wrote and wished Aaran well.

Then ca the troubleso duo.

Aaran kissed Eleanor's hand, telling her to take care. To his surprise, Eleanor hugged him and then whispered so only he and Seraphina could hear her.

"If you cared about so much, then you should have been gentle with last night. Now my body is sore all over."

After planting the bomb, she happily stepped away. Aaran had an awkward smile on his face as he turned to greet Seraphina. As he did, he thought he saw smoke coming out of her ears. She was pissed, but plastered a smile on her face.

"Things happened—"

Aaran tried to explain, but Seraphina just nodded and hugged him as well. Eleanor would've been jealous of it, if the last night didn't happen. But now, she didn't mind. However, she would have if she had heard what Seraphina told Aaran.

"It's alright," she whispered. "I abandoned you in the last life. I'll think of what you did with Eleanor as my punishnt for it. But don't think I'll give up on you in this life."

"What?"

Seraphina didn't offer any explanation and just smiled. Before Aaran could ask her, it was ti to leave. However, even through the journey, her words accompanied him.

It seems he wasn't the only one who regressed this ti around.

dibi Academy.

In just a few years, it was a place where everyone wanted their children to learn. A place full of elites of not only the continent but the entire world.

Unlike the Excellence Academy or the Magic Tower, the dibi Academy focused on everything. Magic, Divinity, Magical engineering, these were just a few subjects of the many subjects the students could pick.

Aaran was excited for the academy because no such establishnt existed in his previous incarnations. Especially because dibi was a city created from the scratch, on a man-made island.

Artificial hills and forest added to the city's beauty, along with the diverse culture from all around the planet.

As for the population, it was just shy of fifteen thousand, including students, teachers and other staff mbers.

The dibi Academy followed the elective and primary subjects, similar to the Excellence Academy. Throughout the four years in dibi, the students will be turned into strong individuals capable of fighting the forr demon lord's army.

That's what they said, though Aaran knew it was far from the truth after fighting the demons himself.

"At least they are doing sothing," Aaran mumbled.

In all his lives, humanity wasn't prepared for hell's invasion. That's why they lost billions of lives and were pushed to the verge of extinction.

It also made Aaran wonder if the empires knew sothing about the invasion and hence were preparing for the worst. He hoped it was the case, because they would need a lot of help during that ti.

Also, people needed more than connections to enter the academy. They had to take a test. Aaran did so when he turned seventeen and never got a rank. He did not know what happened, but he received an admission letter. So there he was.

Other than that, Aaran also had to look for the secret cult and the artifact they had with them. He wasn't doing it for the Covenant, but for himself. Since he was a necromancer, having a cult in the city would inevitably cause issues for him.

That's why he wanted to get rid of them as soon as possible.

But that was easier said than done.

After all, Marki had many people in the academy and their eyes were already locked on the prey, Aaran.

The Marki must have heard the Emperor had disowned Aaran. But they thought it was a way to trick them. The Emperor must have gotten scared after the attack and thought if he publicly disowned Aaran, the attacks on him would stop.

But the Marki didn't care. Instead of killing the next emperor, they would break him ntally. After all, bullying was a common practice in such academies, and sotis things just got out of hand.

Unfortunately, they would turn Aaran into one such case.
