Chapter 28: Chapter 28 The Strange Happenings at the Bed Family

"Woah! That woman brought big bro to his knees; she must be forcing him to beco a slave!"

Yaer and Yayi, the two little brothers, saw that things were going bad and started shouting imdiately.

"What do we do, should we go save big bro?"

"I think big bro will forgive us,"

"That's right, big bro, please forgive us!"

"You two..."

Morgan, lying on the ground, shakily extended his hand, glaring at the two fleeing little brothers, weakly said: "Co back..."

He spit out a mouthful of blood and couldn't understand why Steeran, who looked so small and petite, could possess such imnse strength.

Actually her strength wasn't that great, but it was more than enough to send Morgan flying.

Suddenly, a shadow enveloped Morgan; it was Steeran, looking down on him from above with a face full of disgust.

Morgan shivered and said with a forced smile: "Long, cough cough, Elf lady, spare my life,"

Steeran didn't say a word, took her spear and lunged at Morgan!

"Whoa, help!"

For the first ti, passersby saw a man scream so loudly for reasons other than being hit with a "duang".

Morgan, terrified, closed his eyes, but didn't feel the slightest bit of pain.

Am I dead? Does death not hurt at all?

No, I'm not dead!

He opened his eyes, and the world before him was still the sa. He was unhard. It was not Hell, it was just...

"My hair is gone?"

Just that his head felt chilly.

Steeran twirled the spear in her hand and said:

"Firstly, we are in a harmonious society, slavery trade is not condoned; secondly,"

The Big Shield smashed into the ground next to Morgan's head, shaking the ground "don't let

see you outside of the city, asshole, next ti I won't hold back,"

Morgan finally breathed a sigh of relief, muttering: "Thank you, lady, for sparing my life..."

Steeran glanced at the guards eyeing her from the roadside, quietly put away her weapon.

If it weren't for law enforcent being nearby, she would at least have stabbed this guy to make a hole. But with guards watching, it's a no go. Bed City's law enforcent is notoriously blind to circumstances, arresting everyone first before asking questions, after all, too many people co here every day, with frequent disturbances. Law enforcent has to function efficiently.

If she had been a little harder earlier, she would probably have been arrested for brawling.

In a city full of vigor and thriving life like this, veteran adventurers like her knew to hold back.

"My good mood for the day is ruined because of you," Steeran stepped fiercely on his face then turned and walked away without looking back.

"Cough cough, feels like a broken bone..."

Morgan, unable to even crawl, helplessly lay there, talking to himself: "Where does she get that strength from?"

Steeran stopped, did not turn back, and said indifferently, "Because I have trained in the Dungeon."

The Dungeon? Training?

Unintentionally spoken and yet the listener found aning, that undergoing trials in the Dungeon could increase strength? Obviously, that's unlikely, killing monsters in the Dungeon doesn't give double experience or anything, so—

This Elf must have encountered sothing extraordinary in the Dungeon!

Who knows why the passersby would think that, their thought processes must be quite odd.

Morgan froze for a mont, sighed, and said:

"I'm a mber of the Anti-Dungeon Association..."

"Then go die, jerk,"

Steeran couldn't bother with this guy anymore and quickened his pace to leave.

"How interesting, that Steeran has grown so much stronger. Could it really be the work of the Dungeon?"

On the rooftop, a figure witnessed the entire process and set down the monocular in hand.

"Maybe I should go have a look, too,"

She flicked her hair, revealing sharp-pointed ears – she was also of the Elf Clan.

——————————

Two strange things have recently occurred in the Bed Family.

Firstly, the eldest son Charon suddenly took a group of people and left Bed City. He only left a letter, saying that he had found a business opportunity and was going to make a big profit.

Secondly, the second son Wild suddenly fell in love with the Dungeon. The first thing he did upon waking each day was go to the Dungeon, and he never brought any attendant with him. No one could figure out what exactly he wanted to do in the Dungeon.

If we were to say which of the two events was the most bizarre, it would have to be Wild.

Charon's actions could be understood – everyone knew that Count Philip, who controlled the Bed Family, was getting on in years. In the past two years, he had been looking for a successor among his descendants. The most likely candidates for succession were the eldest son Charon and the third son Sali. In terms of ability, Young Master Sali was the strongest, so it was conceivable that Charon would do sothing like this to try and achieve so success.

As for the second son Wild? Who would consider letting this pleasure-seeking playboy beco the heir? He might even gamble away the entire family fortune one day!

Wild's worthlessness in the city was well-known to all. He indulged in food, drink, and gambling, with a notable feat of losing even his underwear in the casino. This had deeply shad Count Philip, who had even thought of just killing this useless son.

Even if Wild had so knowledge about mineral identification, it couldn't save his utterly rotten reputation.

Everyone thought his life would amount to nothing without the protection of a major family; he wouldn't even be able to survive.

And yet, as of late, Wild had surprisingly begun to exert himself!

Although he was only struggling to get by in the Sain Dungeon, exploring the Dungeon was seen as a proper endeavor in the eyes of others.

Upon learning about this, Count Philip was greatly astonished, and subsequently sent Wild his support – a box of Teleportation Crystals.

Thus, Wild's exploration beca even more unbridled.

However, rumors said that the second son still hadn't managed to get out of the swamp.

"What exactly are big brother and second brother up to?"

Sali paced around the room, completely unable to understand what the two were trying to do.

Hero Elsa nestled on the couch, snacking and flipping through a leisure novel, the very image of a hobody – a lifestyle firmly cultivated by Sali.

Perhaps annoyed by the pacing, she looked up at Sali, said nothing, and then lowered her head again.

Every day, they stayed inside, analyzing reports about the Sain Dungeon that ca from adventurers. Recently, a few reports had garnered particular attention.

[Unnad Adventurer:]

[I clearly rember there being a stone near the swamp last ti. Jumping on that stone a few tis would stun the nearby monsters, but this ti when I went, it didn't work at all! Instead, a Monster crawled out from under the stone and killed . This Dungeon is really weird, why does it keep changing every day?]

"Changing every day..."

Sali murmured the words from the report and turned to Elsa:

"Do you think this could match our speculation?"

"What?" Elsa was engrossed in her novel and hadn't heard clearly what Sali said.

Sali helplessly said, "That thing,"

"If a Dungeon frequently changes, it must an that inside there exists—"
