Chapter 175: Chapter 162 Three People Squatting over a Spirit

As the invasion activities intensified, soone summarized a table.

Different colors were used to mark the frequency of invasion incidents in each area.

After using the Blood-red Eye Orb, invaders would prioritize selecting nearby targets for invasion.

The hardest hit was the food area with white tinged with red, the area within Milk River was absolutely safe; only after crossing Milk River would there be a chance to encounter Soul-sucking Ghosts, and even then, the probability was lower than in other areas.

Next ca the light red cetery area, which had the highest overall difficulty. An opening salvo of arrows could deter many adventurers; if invaders entered here, they might even be turned into porcupines! Invaders wouldn’t be actively attacked by Monsters, but they would still suffer damage from them.

The place with the highest number of invasion incidents was Fran Fort, which had turned into a startling deep red!

More than seventy percent of the map here had already been explored, and people had beco familiar with Monsters, terrain, traps, debuffs, etc. Various incomplete strategies were circulating outside.

With a strategy guide, naturally, people with lower strength would co to explore. Although they were bound to suffer and die, the guide should make things a bit easier.

And these people naturally beca a delicious al in the eyes of invaders, targets ripe for plundering.

After killing a world’s master, invaders could obtain their accumulated souls, but Oath Takers of Soul-sucking Ghosts could not only take away others’ souls but also gain an extra amount. The number of extra souls depended on the world master’s strength, and if they successfully used the Combat Skill [Dark Hand] on the world master, the number of extra souls could increase.

Incidentally, [Dark Hand] is a gift when signing the Soul-sucking Ghosts pact, and everyone can obtain it, though there are so limitations on its strength.

The Oathkeepers’ item gained from a successful Soul-sucking Ghost invasion is called [Humanity]. Offer up enough Humanity, and you can obtain a truly powerful Dark Hand.

Little by little, sand piles form towers; killing to steal souls is much faster than slaying Monsters one by one—the premise is that the invader must also have the skills to not get counter-killed.

Fortunately, Sain Dungeon matches the strength of the invaders, selecting people with similar power levels to invade. If no one with comparable strength can be found, then the quantity increases.

Inside Fran Fort, both invaders and the invaded generally had similar strength levels.

But there were sotis fishers, who, once they invaded, might encounter a team of five or more, which would reduce their chances of victory.

A person codenad "Ma" was one of those fishers.

He was hired by the New Strategy Group to invade Leon, but today he just wanted to relax because he couldn’t win against the Strategy Group; he was only cannon fodder.

"Hehehe, let

give those naive adventurers a profound lesson."

Ma clenched the Blood-red Eye Orb tightly and initiated the invasion.

[Invading another person]

Why was the invasion so quick today? Did it succeed at the outset?

Ma was surprised but then smiled wickedly, licking his lips saltily as he donned an animal mask.

He would definitely, definitely give them a painful mory!

[Invasion success!]

Ma, transford into Red Spirit, appeared in Fran Fort, a familiar scene near the Beacon Tower on the hill.

He confidently searched for adventurers, curious to see which lucky one he would co across.

But at that mont, he felt the sensation of being watched, which made him uneasy, and he looked around.

Finally, he spotted a figure on the hill; that person had been squatting there all along, watching him.

When Ma made out the other’s appearance, he furrowed his brow because that guy’s fashion taste was just too weird.

The lower half was a fabric long pant that could be seen anywhere, the upper half was bare, showing off sturdy muscles, and there was a dirty, pointed hood on his head, which seed sowhat comical.

His weapon was unremarkable—just a common combination of a black Straight Sword and a black shield.

But the mont he saw the weapon, Ma had a sense of crisis as if it was sothing formidable. Not only the weapon but just from the way the hooded person carried himself, it seed as if he had been lying in wait there.

Strange, could it be he knew soone would invade?

"Hey, co down if you’ve got the guts!" Ma taunted, not wanting to recklessly go up in case there were traps on the hill.

The Mysterious Hooded Man didn’t speak, instead pointing his finger downwards.

"What’s that supposed to an, watch my step?" Ma looked at the ground, which showed nothing but a marsh—wait...

He realized then, that was the man mocking him!

"I think you’re asking for it!"

He must be punished, he must!

Ma was furious, but he wasn’t foolish enough to throw himself into the fray. Instead, he began shouting loudly, trying to attract nearby Monsters.

However, he called out like Tarzan for a long while and didn’t see even half a Monster. Just as he grew confused, he saw the hooded man’s look that seed to regard him as a fool.

His rage turned to fury, and he couldn’t hold back any longer, charging directly towards the hill.

He wielded a spear, which could split into a three-section staff, and if the other side planned to block with a shield, he could use the staff to snatch it away.

My weapon counters his; how could I possibly lose!?
