Chapter 108: Chapter 105 A New Chapter is About to Begin

"Boss, they’ve discovered sothing new in the Sain Dungeon, it seems to be called the Fran Undead Team!"

Maru burst into the room, but only Drew and Tal were there.

She paused, then realized belatedly, "That’s right, the boss left a few days ago. I’m still not used to him being gone..."

After defeating the avatar of Soul V, Leon’s confidence soared, and after arranging so matters with his companions, he set off for ho.

He had things to settle once and for all.

It was said that his family lived far from Bed City, and it would probably take a month for him to return.

It’s already been seven days since then.

Everyone really wanted to go with him, fearing that Leon might run into so trouble, but he sternly refused his companions, insisting that it was his own business and he had to deal with it personally.

"Maru," Drew pinched the bridge of his nose, saying helplessly, "the way you’re talking it’s as if Leon has died."

Tal also shook his head and said, "What is this Fran Undead Team, and where did you hear such a thing?"

It seems like every ti there’s new information, it’s Maru who digs it up.

"It sounds like it’s the na of so ancient organization!"

The ntion of ancient tis sure perked everyone’s ears.

"Go on,"

"Isn’t it true that many people have been finding new things in the Sain Dungeon recently," Maru said, "among them is a stele which records the legend of the Undead Team,"

"New things..."

Drew furrowed his brows in thought.

Ever since that rampage day, the Sain Dungeon started producing new items

Items, equipnt, weapons and even new Monsters, but the map hasn’t changed.

It all gives one the sense that sothing big is coming and these new things are just appetizers.

The most obvious change is that when people get these new items, weapons, a bit of information appears in their minds about the item, and this information often follows a certain format.

The beginning is always so baffling phrase, seeming to explain the background story of the item, followed by its usage and effects.

The other day soone got a large hamr full of spikes, and it was introduced like this:

[Spiked Hamr Spear]

[Weapon of the priests of the Deep Church, who guide the residents of the Undead Settlent]

[Combat Skill: Rotational Strike, striking enemies while spinning]

Just this one weapon alone raises several questions:

What is the Undead Settlent? What is the Deep Church? And what exactly are these priests?

There’s just too much crucial information missing, people can only know these new nas, yet have no idea what they an.

So have linked this to the bonfire images of the Sain Dungeon, speculating whether the items introduce aspects of history from a past era?

The bonfire images have already brought a lot of attention to the Sain Dungeon among the masses.

People thought it lucky enough for a small dungeon to have two bonfires with images, but who could have imagined that it would keep producing new findings!

As a result, adventurers exploring Sain beca even more attentive to every little detail, picking up even strange-looking stones to see if they held any information.

Curiosity, it’s one of the fundantal desires of humans.

It was at this ti that the adventurer’s guild suddenly ca into play.

The Guild built a huge notice board in the center of Bed City and its purpose was to—imdiately publish any new information regarding the Sain Dungeon!

This new information ca from adventurers.

Once soone in the Dungeon found sothing new and was willing to share that information with the Guild, they could not only receive a handso reward, but also have their na featured on the information, making every person who viewed the information aware of the discoverer’s na.

Moreover, next to the notice board, a ranking list was set up, with information contribution quantity and quality serving as the basis for rankings, receiving high attention.

This led to a strange phenonon; people seem to care more about having their nas featured and their rankings rather than the rewards.

Since the leaderboard was established, there were always people gathered around to observe changes in rankings, and to offer subjective judgent rather than objective speculation on these contributions—because there’s too little information that can be deduced, and the missing parts can only be filled in by imagination.

Is this perhaps the rudint of a soul scholar?

In a short span of ti, several unfamiliar terms beca known, such as Bieheim, Ancient Dragon Peak, Losric, Supre Radiance, Canglan Star, Yarn, and so on.

So feel that this information is too fragnted to be of any use, but others find the process of piecing together these fragnts to be interesting and especially gratifying.

The rewards are set, the honors bestowed; what reason remains for us not to explore the Sain Dungeon?

It can’t possibly be because of the difficulty, right? Even Count Charon has proactively offered to subsidize adventurers purchasing Teleportation Crystals, and the Holy Light Church has also reduced resurrection fees, indirectly supporting people to explore the Dungeon.

It’s only a matter of difficulty, with enough attempts, there’s always a way to work it out. The Sain Dungeon couldn’t possibly have undergone sudden changes overnight, could it?

"The Fran Undead Team is, is just..." Maru struggled to articulate her thoughts for a while, overwheld by too much content. She didn’t know where to begin and finally said: "Ah, just go take a look at the bulletin board!"

It was no easy feat to get to the town center’s bulletin board, but the place was already surrounded by people, three layers in and three layers out; everyone was eager to see the latest intelligence.

Now at three in the morning, under the dark night sky, people forsake sleep to check out the latest information as if they were avidly following a series.

Those who arrived later couldn’t see the words on the bulletin board anymore, and the Guild’s staff had to use amplification magic to explain aloud for the people.

"The Fran Undead Team, they are the Watchers of the Abyss, inheriting the will of the Abyss Wanderers, forever stationed at the frontline against the Abyss!"

"They are heroes fighting against the Abyss, battling to prevent the world from descending into darkness!"

"When the Initial Fire was waning, as the world was on the brink of extinguishnt, the entire Undead Team resolutely hurled themselves into the furnace, turning their bodies into firewood for the flas!"

"They carried out Fire Transmission!"

"However, after the long years post their Fire Transmission, the silhouettes of the Undead Team reappeared soplace— a place nad Fran Fort!"

Guild staff were almost hoarse from repeatedly reading out the contents on the bulletin board.

A smug adventurer stood beside him, seemingly the contributor of the intelligence, and was about to beco famous.

Perhaps the people present didn’t understand what Fran was, but they knew about the Fire Transmission.

It was clearly portrayed in the images of the bonfires – the Sunlight King Gwyn had burned himself in a Fire Transmission for the continuation of the world!

Therefore, the Undead Team that conducted the Fire Transmission must be heroes, and the Abyss they opposed must be sothing vile.

Though this piece of intelligence seed brief, compared to the terse notes on other equipnt, it was already considered a significant and remarkable narrative.

A Bard amidst the crowd was already contemplating thes about the Fran Undead Team.

"Do you think we should take another round in the Dungeon?" Maru enviously glanced at that adventurer, "The lilight he’s getting is too much."

"Who was it that wanted a vacation?" Tal joked teasingly.

Since the day of the Sain rampage, everyone in the Strategy Group was greatly shaken; up until now, they hadn’t re-entered the Dungeon.

"It wouldn’t be bad to go in now, without waiting for Leon," Drew agreed. "We’re already familiar with Sain; surely there won’t be anything that can stump us."

"How about now?" Maru suggested as she glanced at the moon; timing was just right – the Sain Dungeon must have already opened.

The unanimous decision was made among the team; they had been idle for too long, and their title of the Strategy Group was nearly forgotten.

"Everybody, listen to !"

Suddenly, a voice desperate and strained filled the plaza.

People turned to look – it was an adventurer in tattered clothes, his equipnt torn and ragged, with a newly healed scar on his head, still carrying the scent of resurrection.

Without a doubt, this guy had just died in the Dungeon and been resurrected, and imdiately rushed here afterward.

Embarrassing, isn’t it? The Dungeon had only opened for less than half an hour, and he’s already died once?

What could be so urgent that he hurried over in such a rush?

"Sain Dungeon, Sain Dungeon..."

The adventurer gasped for breath as he spoke:

"The Sain Dungeon has undergone another mutation! The map has all changed!"

What!?

This news exploded like a bomb among the crowd.

People surrounded the adventurer, pressing him relentlessly about the exact nature of the changes that occurred in the Sain Dungeon.

The Strategy Group exchanged looks with each other, a sense of ominous foreboding inside them.

"I—I got caught by this tall, skinny Monster in the swamp, it kept scratching my head!"

The adventurer pointed to the scars on his head and lanted.

"Who cares how you died, just tell us how did the map change?" soone impatient inquired.

"I—I don’t know how to describe it, you should just go and see for yourselves!"

The adventurer shouted:

"Just don’t get startled by the Fire Transmission Ceremony!"
