Chapter 50: Chapter 49: Riverboat

"So, you guys are here to rescue ?"

On the boat, Han Yu sat on the deck, sopping wet, looking at the three people with a strange expression.

Bai Junya blushed, seemingly recalling the embarrassing scene from earlier. Her face turned red, and Han Yu also blushed.

Their thoughts differed: one felt embarrassed about needing rescue, especially since the person was barely out before being sent back again.

The other felt guilty from witnessing the spectacle. Han Yu couldn’t help but glance at Bai Junya again, causing her to blush even more.

Ahem!

Bai Jingliang cleared his throat several tis, drawing their attention back before he spoke, "I heard the Qin Family is desperately searching for you. If you don’t show up soon, I’d guess their junior cultivators might not dare to leave the house for quite so ti."

Indeed, Han Yu was chased around all day by a group of high cultivators from the Qin Family, but they still couldn’t kill him.

If the situation were reversed and he targeted the Qin Family cultivators below the Divine Gaze Realm, they wouldn’t be able to resist either!

This was the real headache for the Qin Family’s upper echelon; otherwise, they wouldn’t bother searching along the river.

The cultivators from Tianning Prefecture might not be able to see the excitent along the Bailu River, but within the city, there was plenty to see, as all the cultivators affiliated with the Qin Family were sheepishly withdrawn.

"Actually, so noble families have been wanting to find you privately."

Bai Jingliang whispered, which surprised him.

"To seek pills from ?"

Bai Jingliang shook his head, chuckling, "There’s no way I would talk about your pills without your permission."

Han Yu felt puzzled. If they weren’t seeking pills, what business could they have with him?

"They’re hoping you’ll keep butting heads with the Qin Family, that’s all!"

There’s no need to guess; Bai Jingliang could see it easily. However, this thought made him sigh inexplicably.

At least those declining noble families still have so ambition and dare to stir things up, whereas the Bai Family made him too disappointed without even having such a thought.

Han Yu was montarily stunned and sneered, "So, they just want to watch the show?"

When it ca to other matters, Bai Jingliang might not understand, but having grown up in a noble family, he was well-acquainted with their ways.

He shook his head, his face serious, "Noble families never do things without purpose. Openly, they’re watching the commotion, but secretly, they might be harboring thoughts about the Qin Family."

Then he joked, "Noble families are always like this, only seeing the benefits. They’re probably just observing now, but if the Qin Family is genuinely weakened, I wouldn’t be surprised if those noble families unite to attack and devour it. After all, being the top noble family in Tianning, it’s a juicy piece of at. Who wouldn’t be tempted?"

Han Yu listened thoughtfully.

"You’re not really planning to fight to the end, are you?"

Seeing Han Yu’s expression, Bai Jingliang suddenly murmured with a strange look.

At this mont, Han Yu seed lost in thought, not hearing him at all.

"Hey, are you seriously considering it? Really going to fight to the end? Don’t you have a human skin mask? Just wear it and leave Tianning Prefecture."

Little Artifact Spirit remained dissatisfied, constantly chattering.

Han Yu ignored it and suddenly asked, "Can you and Ping produce Poison Pills?"

The Little Artifact Spirit seed to touch a taboo and quickly refused, "Give up on that thought. Both Ping and I have a set of rules. It can produce pills, but the effects are random. I can control the pills but ultimately, it’s up to the dicine taker to choose."

Han Yu was imdiately disheartened, muttering, "You’re only impressive when it cos to ssing with ."

"Young Master Han!"

Bai Junya suddenly ca over and gently called out.

Han Yu just returned to his senses and turned to look. Bai Junya was standing beside him with a clean set of clothes.

The style of clothes seed quite similar to what Bai Jingliang was wearing.

"These are Jingliang’s clothes. Since it’s inconvenient for you to enter the city for now, why not wear them?"

Bai Junya’s face turned beet red. After all, Han Yu was in quite a disheveled state, with his lower garnt shredded to strips, revealing his thighs now and then.

After hastily putting down the clothes, Bai Junya dragged Lily back to the cabin, and Han Yu nonchalantly changed right there, startling Bai Jingliang.

"Can’t you go inside to change?"

Han Yu glanced inside, feeling conflicted, "Wouldn’t that be inappropriate? Isn’t your sister inside?"

"There’s also my room inside, no, are you planning to change for her to see?"

Bai Jingliang looked helpless; since it had already happened, he could only let him change quickly.

After shedding the ragged clothes and putting on loose ones, Han Yu moved, feeling much more comfortable, and took a look at the boat, feeling a sense of familiarity.

"Isn’t this the sa one I rode back then?"

"Yes! Isn’t it a wonderful fate that we’re all on the sa boat again?"

Bai Jingliang recalled the past, feeling rather sentintal.

"It’s quite wonderful, different places, but the sa people."

Han Yu nodded with a smile, but Bai Jingliang suddenly seed less interested.

"Today, besides looking for you on the river, my father also specifically sent us onto this boat."

He sighed and continued speaking.

"Those rotten guys are determined to marry my sister off. My father first sent my sister and

out. If it can’t be changed in the end, then my sister and I will sail away and never return."

Han Yu fell silent; another noble family tragedy. After thinking for a long ti, he didn’t know how to comfort him. Besides, he didn’t really want to see Bai Junya get married off like that.

It wasn’t necessarily a matter of feelings, but the thought of Bai Junya marrying soone like that made him uncomfortable.

"You’re experiencing feelings of attachnt, developing possessiveness, Han Yu, you’re growing up."

Little Glass said matter-of-factly in his mind.

In the Bai Family.

At this mont, Bai Chong’an was at the Council Hall as an ordinary Bai family mber, with his wife of many years by his side.

Facing them was a group of clan elders, each with a stern face, talking of morality and family duty nonstop.

"Chong’an, the matter has reached this point, the die is cast. To renege would be against morality, and what would beco of the Bai family’s reputation?"

"Exactly, the Qin Family is powerful. If we lose reason now, they won’t let it go."

Everyone had sothing to say, but Bai Chong’an seed not to hear a thing, holding his wife’s hand in silence.

"Is everyone done?"

Bai Chong’an suddenly spoke, scanning the clan elders with an indescribable look of desolation on his face.

"Heaven is truly unfair to my Bai family. If the Qin Family were filled with people like you, give

five years, and I’d replace them."

"If even my daughter can rise up and resist, I, Bai Chong’an, will not cower anymore. Whoever arranged the marriage should marry off their own daughter. My daughter will no longer need your concern, uncles and elders."

His words left the entire hall seething, leaving Bai Chong’an cold at heart.

Can such a family really have a future?

Even families worse off than the Bai family dare to have thoughts about the Qin Family, but here...

Huh, tsk—

Never had Han Yu found this sound so delightful; he’d been waiting for Ping tirelessly, virtually sleepless all night.

Now, when Ping swayed and sprayed, he sat up on the deck, eyes shining brightly.

But when his gaze fell on the pills, his expression turned quite peculiar...
