Li Yurong smiled. “Uncle-in-law, do you think I’m suitable?”
“You want to beco the Commander of Secret Guardians Hall?” Leng Jinghua was shocked.
Lu Yurong nodded and said, “Uncle-in-law, I really don’t feel safe for giving this position to soone else. It’s just too important. Uncle-in-law’s grand plan can be greatly affected if this other person had other plans... Furthermore, I’m best when it cos to this.”
“That’s true.” Leng Jinghua nodded.
Lu Yurong’s ability to make use of spies was simply astonishing. Rumors had it that Chu Li’s spying skill was incredibly good, but nobody had truly seen it before. From Leng Jinghua’s perspective, nobody possessed a skillset better than Lu Yurong when it ca to spying at the mont.
Lu Yurong said, “Gu Yu is a stupid and useless man. Furthermore, he’s so petty that he can’t accept other people’s ideas. Just look at him, he had made a ss out of Secret Guardians Hall not long after being the Commander of the place!”
Leng Jinghua harrumphed.
He, too, was unhappy with the current situation in Secret Guardians Hall. It was just far too inferior to its forr glory. He had changed the people twice but they were the sa type of people, just different spirits.
The current Secret Guardians Hall was not capable of shouldering great responsibilities. They would still need to seek out Chu Li if a huge incident occurred. It would be impossible for Secret Guardians Hall to solve a case due to their self restraints and current capabilities.
Lu Yurong said, “Why don’t I lead them. It’s best for us to take down Gu Yu and find a suitable replacent. The Emperor is a very detailed man, I’m sure he knows Gu Yu’s true worth. I’m sure the Emperor isn’t that insistent on him. As long as Uncle-in-law says a few words, there’s a high chance that Gu Yu will be swapped out.”
“Alright... I’ll tell the Emperor,” Leng Jinghua said, “I’ll try my best to make you the Commander.”
Lu Yurong continued, “From what I know, i Er Courtyard, where Chu Li is situated is going against Gu Yu behind his back. They’re not even listening to his commands. i Er Courtyard is filled with elites and Secret Guardians Hall’s strength would reduce drastically without i Er Courtyard.”
“Yes. I’ve heard of that as well.” Leng Jinghua nodded.
Lu Yurong smiled. “Once I’ve beco the Commander, I’ll be able to win over i Er Courtyard.”
“That would be best,” Leng Jinghua said.
Lu Yurong said, “We still have to deal with Chu Li, even Gu Yu was helpless against him. It’s pointless to give the latter more n, the difference is simply too great.”
“Sigh... That Chu Li!” Leng Jinghua shook his head.
His impression of Chu Li was incredibly bad at the mont. He was so angry at him and yet he could not do anything. He could not restrain him in any way as Chu Li hid in the Public House like a tortoise hiding his head in its shell. Leng Jianghua could not do anything about it and it would be extrely difficult to bait him out of the place.
Lu Yurong smiled gently. “Uncle-in-law, you don’t have to worry about that. I’ll think of a way to deal with Chu Li and put him in a crisis.”
“Alright then. You’re the only one who can deal with him,” Leng Jinghua said.

Gu Yu sat in Secret Guardians Hall’s main hall. His face looked gloomy and sweat could be seen on his forehead.
The youngster in green robes stood before him with his head lowered, not daring to speak.
Gu Yu scoffed. “This Crown Prince sure is sothing. He acts so high and mighty, as if he’s the Emperor himself!”
“What the Commander says is true. He’s the future Emperor!” The youngster in green robes said.
“Hmpf!” Gu Yu said arrogantly, “He’s acting like the Emperor before even becoming one. Secret Guardians Hall isn’t sothing he has authority over and it’s a miracle that even we gave him enough face. Not only is he not satisfied with this, but he dares to be upset with !”
“Commander, let’s think of a way to deal with Chu Li first,” The youngster in green robes said, “If we don’t take him down, Secret Guardians Hall would lose all its face. Is it even possible for him to hide in the Public House forever?”
“It doesn’t matter if he hides in the Public House.” Gu Yu grinned as he harrumphed. “Go to i Er Courtyard and summon Yang Zongwen here for !”
The youngster in green robes nodded and rushed out imdiately.
Yang Zongwen soon arrived, fist saluted and said calmly, “Commander.”
“I hereby order everyone in i Er Courtyard to head to the Yi Public House in Chong Ming Town and drag Chu Li here to !” Gu Yu said coldly.
Yang Zongwen was startled. “You want us to bring the Great Chief Chu here?”
“That’s right!” Gu Yu scoffed. “This isn’t anything difficult, right? Am I putting you in a tough spot? It should be an easy thing to achieve due to your relationship with Chu Li. Don’t bla for being cruel if you fail!”
Yang Zongwen nodded. “Yes, your order is well received.”
“Good.” Gu Yu’s expression cald down as he said coldly, “You have a month to do so. Is that enough ti for you?”
Yang Zongwen fist saluted. “We’ll send our n out now.”
“Good!” Gu Yu gestured his hand. “The sooner you return, the greater your rewards!”
Yang Zongwen fist saluted as he strode out of the place.
The youngster in green robes said hesitantly after watching Yang Zongwen leaving the place, “Commander, is it even possible for them to capture Chu Li?”
“Hmpf, I don’t care what thod they use. I’m fine as long as he’s able to capture Chu Li.” Gu Yu grinned. “I’ll show Chu Li what I’m made of once he’s here. Hehe!”
The youngster in green robe smiled. “Yes. Our evidence is refutable. It’s impossible for him to push the bla away!”
When Yang Zongwen returned to i Er Courtyard, Dong Qifei, Qin Jin, and the ten of them were present.
Upon hearing Yang Zongwen’s words, Dong Qifei’s expression beca gloomy as he complained out loud that Gu Yu was very cunning.
On the other hand, Qin Jin smiled. “This is a good opportunity for us to go to Chong Ming Town to have a look. I’ve heard of the Yi Public House’s reputation but never had the opportunity to visit it.”
“Is the centurion going to co back if we head out?” Dong Qifei scoffed. “Isn’t this putting the centurion in a tough spot?”
“The centurion won’t be in a tough spot.” Qin Jin shook his head. “We can go there as guests and the remaining mbers of Secret Guardians Hall won’t need to go there anymore. This should lessen the burden on the centurion.”
“It would be interesting to go to Yi Public House as their guests.” Yang Zongwen smiled.
Their actions were swift as the eleven of them left Fairy’s Capital together. They traveled via their Light-body Techniques. They were much faster than traveling via horses and had arrived in Chong Ming Town by evening of the next day.
Chu Li personally went out of town to greet them and escort them to the Public House’s island.
“Centurion, rumors have it that he has ironclad proof of you communicating secretly with Holy Church of Light.” Yang Zongwen said.
They sat in Chu Li’s little courtyard as the sun began to set. The air was extraordinarily fresh, the sky’s yellow-red color had dyed the entire courtyard in the sa color.
Chu Li lost his cool and laughed, “? Communicating secretly with the disciples of Holy Church of Light?”
“Yes.” Yang Zongwen nodded. “Judging from Gu Yu’s expression, it doesn’t sound like a trap.”
Chu Li frowned as he remained silent.
Qin Jin asked, “Centurion, please tell us the truth. Is there really such a thing?”
Chu Li stared at him angrily.
Qin Jin giggled. “We won’t say a word even if the centurion has been communicating secretly with Holy Church of Light.”
Chu Li said, “Don’t you know just how deep my hatred is towards Holy Church of Light? Even if I wanted to communicate with them secretly, Holy Church of Light would have to agree first!”
“Why would he have proof then?” Qin Jin asked. “Gu Yu isn’t a subtle man. It’s obvious that his evidence is real.”
Chu Li gestured with his hand. “I’m curious as to what evidence he has.”
Truthfully, Chu Li was so worried that he started frowning.
Though Gu Yu might seem like an idiot for being fooled by Chu Li, he was in actuality not an idiot at all. In fact, he was the smarter one and the evidence was definitely real. What concrete proof would Gu Yu have to be so sure that Chu Li was definitely linked to the Holy Church of Light?
After so pondering, his mind arrived at Fu ngshan.
There were only three people who knew that Chu Li had entered the Holy Church of Light as a spy. He believed in Xu Huande but he did not have much confidence in Fu ngshan. If soone had leaked out this information, it could only be Fu ngshan!
He was rather worried as his thoughts reached that conclusion.
Everything would be for naught if his identity had been exposed and it would be extrely troubleso!
“Centurion, feel free to tend to your matters if you’re busy. We’ll rest up and have a look around the town tomorrow,” Qin Jin said.
Chu Li nodded. “Alright, feel free to be at ease here. For now, I’ll go check sothing out.”
“Okay.” Everyone fist saluted.
