Chapter 1609: Chapter 296: Abyssal Celestial Envoy’s Desperate Battle, The Failed Crusade!

At this very mont, within Holy Spring City.

Transford into a giant whale, Aiwass continued to roar.

The strong bodies of the Benevolent Lords were utterly destroyed by the Great Abyss in an instant.

The various protective rituals stacked on them, the various extraordinary equipnt they possessed, were as aningless as torn paper and ragcloth—the abyssal envoy’s wave strike nad “Eye of Abis” instantly shredded all defensive asures. The remaining shock even shook the Balance Curtain, nearly damaging the entire array of stars.

And those who survived such a level of attack, apart from the “Hero Ismail” who had previously been washed away by Aiwass’s wave, only Ayimar Nur remained.

The Friendship Chain, once crafted by the Serpent Celestial Marshal and the Fallen Celestial Marshal, ultimately saved his life.

But…

—Did it really save him?

This equipnt that converts physical damage to ntal damage may have absorbed the entire blow… but is Ayimar Nur’s ntal state truly resilient enough to withstand such an impact?

The answer is, of course, no.

“Ahhhhhh—ahhhhhhhhh—”

Ayimar Nur let out a piercing scream of agony.

In that instant, his soul seed to be shattered by the waves thousands of tis. His snot and tears flowed together with pink blood, and his eyeballs burst directly—that was not residual physical damage, but the damage converted to mana, exploding his fragile eyeballs under his completely disordered nerves.

His body cracked open everywhere, the surging, slightly bloody mana mixed with fountain-like gushing blood, scattered outwards.

The discolored mana was already visible to the naked eye. If anyone could still at this mont witness this scene, they would see that the splatter from his wounds was not blood, but muddled, yellow mud.

Ayimar Nur should even be thankful his eyeballs burst.

At the brink of blindness, the world in front of him turned colorized—all beca unreasonably vivid, abstract and lost its aning. The light seed to have the taste of stones and loam, and from the colors, he heard a dull bell, the sound of waves pressing his skin to breaking point, even though he’d never seen the sea, nor knew the feeling of drowning in the ocean…

His senses all beca chaotic. His brain randomly processed every problem it encountered, offering thoroughly confused answers. Although his body had not taken a slightest bit of damage, under such completely disordered spirit, his physical functions visibly began to collapse and disintegrate.

“Ughhhhh—ahhhhhhh—”

Ayimar Nur fell to his knees, screaming hysterically. The scream lasted only an instant, after which mud-like blood coursed up from his mana-torn throat, making his voice sound like soone gargling with a mouthful of water.

—His once-proud resilient will, nurtured through long solitude in the distant fourth ring, the “pure spirit,” had completely shattered in the mont of enduring pain.

“How unsightly…”

Giant whale Aiwass sighed, issuing a sound like a steamship’s whistle.

If it were soone else, perhaps they could have used the “Chain of Friendship” to resist Aiwass.

Its function could still operate under Aiwass’s full strike, indicating it was undoubtedly a heavenly departnt-level treasure. Ayimar Nur’s pride indeed had so justification… the value of this item was indeed higher than the Holy Crown of the Holy Nation, and could even rival treasures capable of reversing and striking down several orders of magnitude above the celestial marshal.

Even in a ga, it would be the kind of treasure players could barely encounter, only being used briefly by NPCs in the storyline.

—The fact that its chanic worked indicates its priority level is high enough.

The so-called extraordinary items with insufficient priority, like “being able to resist one fatal blow,” or “creating a barrier of complete exclusion before lethal damage arrives,” the benevolent lords held a bunch of these, yet they couldn’t survive even a mont.

Only it’s a pity…

Ayimar Nur’s ntal resolve was insufficient to harness such a legacy treasure.

—Then it is mine.

Aiwass thought so, coalescing a semi-transparent azure tentacle, which lashed fiercely!

This very blow struck down violently on Ayimar Nur’s body, producing a resounding slap!

Not to ntion the Benevolent Lords… even moderately stronger professions like the Sky Cavalry or Sword Saints, this blow was enough to mash their sturdy bodies into pulp!

And yet, Ayimar Nur was sohow unhard, just flung into the air—

Understand that if this attack landed in the city, it’d smash a vast area of skyscrapers, causing them to collapse. A single hit would be sufficient to destroy a small city… and yet, to the abyssal envoy, it was rely a regular attack.

Only a true tank profession like Hayna could, by stacking nurous defensive blessings, withstand such a blow through sheer bodily fortitude.

This was why Aiwass felt despair when he initially “crossed over” regarding the Ring of Ouroboros.

—A significant reason being the unknown handling of the abyssal envoy.

Though they are all called celestial marshals, the gap between celestial marshals might be greater than that between mortals and celestial marshals.

Even within a ga, the abyssal envoy was the highest level of dungeon.

Other celestial marshal raids were eight-man for the first encounter, or twenty-five-man at high difficulty. But the abyssal envoy had no first encounter difficulty, with a minimal twenty-five-man difficulty, and an additional super high difficulty—

Other celestial marshals were called extermination battles and annihilation battles, but the abyssal envoy was nad “Doom Battle.”

Even just the first 50% health difficulty was enough to stop most players. Fortunately, it wasn’t a mandatory challenge dungeon, rely a high-difficulty type for hardcore players, aiming for rare weapons, companion pets, and titles symbolizing conquering the challenge.

Aiwass initially prepared a build when assuming the abyssal envoy as an imaginary enemy.

Unexpectedly, it was not needed now…

Aiwass sighed, coalescing another tentacle, pursuing Ayimar Nur mid-air, slamming him down like a tennis ball into the ground.

From the first strike, he had fallen silent. Evidently, his spirit was entirely dead… possibly his soul was shredded by the uncontrolled mana due to such intense agony.

Looking at the defenseless Ayimar Nur lying on the ground, the sea surged over, engulfing him.

Next, the wave delivered the Chain of Friendship back to Aiwass, placing it on his head.

—It seems it’s over, how uninteresting.

Aiwass thought.

The next issue was how to have the abyssal envoy commit self-harm…

Yet at this ti.

Aiwass suddenly looked outside the city.

He clearly sensed three imnsely powerful responses flaring up at the sa ti from that direction—
