"What is this, what’s going on?"

The "Beauty" Mahid Fran blurted out, "Didn’t you say... the Abyssal Celestial Envoy would fall into unprecedented weakness?!"

The imnse pressure of the Abyssal Celestial Envoy left the Benevolent Lords feeling suffocated.

The other Benevolent Lords, though silent, also turned their gazes to the convener of this expedition.

"Yes."

Ayimar Nur paused for a mont, then calmly responded.

"Then what is this! What is this!!"

Mahid Fran pointed at the nacingly murderous giant whale and then at the dim yellow world where ti had been paused.

Feeling deceived, she shouted in near rage, "I ca here because you said you had a surefire thod to deal with the Abyssal Celestial Envoy!"

Mahid Fran’s anger was certainly justified.

After all, this matter had nothing to do with her at all.

She was happy living her life in Carnival City. Moreover, since Carnival City was far from Clear Spring City, even if the Abyssal Celestial Envoy descended, it might not affect her.

Her decision to co here was partly because Ayimar Nur confidently claid to have a surefire thod, and partly because she feared being isolated. While the Parthian Ancient Country, being even older than the Eternal Theocracy, certainly had enough depth, only a few had smoothly advanced to the sixth power level since the Ring of Ouroboros opened not too long ago.

If others accepted the invitation and she did not...she would very likely face retaliation.

In Parthia, there is no such thing as enjoying rewards without risk. She was confident in individually fighting any Lord of the sa power level, but if faced with several, or even a dozen, it would an inevitable defeat without any hope of survival. Following commands to collectively counter the Abyssal Celestial Envoy, who would inevitably descend to the Material Realm, offered a higher chance of survival.

Ayimar Nur had already hinted at this possibility in his letter.

This was not Mahid Fran’s persecution complex but a tangible threat to her life.

Having personally witnessed and experienced the power of Aiwass, she had chosen to inform Ayimar Nur of this power. At that ti, she still had the chance to escape, but she chose to trust the Benevolent Lord of Holy Spring City.

Yet Ayimar Nur failed to co up with the correct counterasure.

—Isn’t this a dereliction of duty as their leader?

"Now that it has co to this..."

After a long silence, Ayimar Nur raised his magic wand again, pointing at the giant whale and replied in a low voice, "After all, there’s no turning back now, is there?"

The giant whale emitted a massive whale song as if in response.

A transparent illusory barrier rose before Ayimar Nur—the entire world vibrating turned into a symtrical mirror image.

Although the residents had been turned into amber-colored statues by Preservation Arts, rendering them completely immune to ritual magic sacrifices, he was not like those who beco extrely vulnerable once their source of offerings is cut off.

This was a fifth power level ritual magic he had long prepared.

By praying to the Gemini Mirror, he summoned the "Flawless Mirror Wall" capable of blocking and reflecting all damage back!

The whale’s song transford into tangible sound waves, striking the Mirror Wall and bouncing back. However, it neither hard the other civilians fixed by Preservation Arts nor did it impact the giant whale.

The giant whale rely swam leisurely, observing their every move from above.

Though protected by the "Chain of Friendship," he could resist the whale’s roar without using this trump card. Nevertheless, he had to be considerate of his "teammates," even if there was no cohesion among them as a team. However, he was well aware that it was impossible to defeat the Abyssal Celestial Envoy relying solely on himself.

"...I will heal you."

After Mahid Fran vented her anger, she reluctantly chose to accept the reality.

She admitted to the other Benevolent Lords, "My Path Ability specializes in healing with not much combat power. However, through healing, I can manipulate others’ hearts and actions, enabling their Berserk enhancent...you must not resist this buff. It can allow an unard child to defeat a giant wolf."

"Then I’ll distract the Abyssal Celestial Envoy, and you bless ."

Ismail also spoke without hesitation, "It’s like hunting a lion...while you sneak attack from behind the lion."

He was not a true warrior—but he knew that if he remained in the crowd, he’d likely soon be discovered slacking by the others.

However, if he attacked the Abyssal Celestial Envoy proactively, he feared Aiwass might think he had torn up the cooperation agreent. After contemplating, this position seed to be the best spot for slacking off.

He could only pray that Aiwass’s plan could proceed successfully.

Although he didn’t know the specifics of Aiwass’s plan, seeing how the Abyssal Celestial Envoy, usually violent and even demanding live sacrifices, actively protected civilians, Ismail boldly speculated — perhaps Aiwass now resided in the consciousness of the Abyssal Celestial Envoy!

His self-sacrifice was not despair, but another attack path!

If he guessed correctly, then perhaps Aiwass would not attack him.

As expected...

After Hero Ismail spoke, no other Benevolent Lords were willing to share such a risky responsibility.

No Benevolent Lords were willing to endanger themselves for others.

Mahid Fran began dancing a magnificent Elven Style solo dance, chanting the ancient Elvish Language ballad honoring the Candle Master.

With her dance, circles of radiance erupted around her. Each beam of radiance could instantly heal a dying old man and restore youth.

As long as there was still a breath, receiving a single treatnt could restore to full health!

Ismail felt a surge of life force welling within him. His entire body suddenly expanded, muscles bulging and tearing his clothes, his physical abilities increased by more than half.

Though he was not specialized in close combat, he easily tore through the atmosphere, becoming a fleeting shadow.

As he leapt high, the Abyssal Celestial Envoy launched another unannounced attack.

The roaring ocean surged, instantly enveloping Ismail.

The deep blue water did not feel as cold as imagined. In a daze, he saw a faint pink glow, losing his will to resist, relaxed his body completely, and was swept away in an instant.

— Charm of Radiance!

When he barely regained consciousness, he noticed he had almost been thrown out of Holy Spring City.

He initially wanted to resist but decided against it. So he closed his eyes, cast Preservation Arts on himself, and let himself be swept away by the waves.

All this happened in an instant. The hero who was supposed to help them attract the Abyssal Celestial Envoy’s attention couldn’t even withstand a single attack and was driven from the battlefield.

Like pouring water from a bucket into a bowl, the waves roared and rolled, overflowing outside the tall city walls, while Holy Spring City was filled with the sea.

Floods from the sky subrged the entire city, rising tens of ters in an instant, leaving only a transparent hemisphere tightly held by the sea water on the ground. That was where the other Benevolent Lords were protected within the Mirror Wall.

If Preservation Arts were not used, this single blow could have shattered the entire city, with power sufficient to cause earth-shattering earthquakes, smashing tall and ancient buildings alike.

A Benevolent Lord struck their magic wand into the ground, the sea instantly split in two. From their perspective, the sky appeared cleaved.

Another Benevolent Lord summoned Divine Thunder that would destroy everything, gathering a crackling blue lightning sphere. Truth Thunder would automatically attack, creating poisonous knowledge into sharp Thunder Spears, automatically attacking and eroding every attacked entity. This damage would be lethal even to Phantom Demons, or even descended Angel Envoys and Celestial Marshals.

A Benevolent Lord summoned overwhelming undead... the dead from ancient tis to the present in their city. Their souls were imprisoned by forbidden magic, transford into vicious resentful souls, now streaming pale spiritual bodies towards the giant whale in the sky.

A Benevolent Lord started arranging a ritual to borrow power from the Red Calamity.

Jointly resisting the Abyssal Celestial Envoy was their previously agreed cooperation, but for unknown reasons... Red Calamity suddenly kept silent, not lending any power. It seed as if it had allowed the Abyssal Celestial Envoy to destroy its Summoner.

Benevolent Lords began preparing their ritual magic or taboo magic one by one.

They perhaps lacked a sense of cooperation, yet understood a simple theory — as long as it could cause damage.

Though the giant whale was imnse, its size in the Dream Realm was even greater. The Great Abyss, upon descending to the Material Realm, had already lost a considerable portion of size and strength, rendering this level of god susceptible to their harm!

Although Hero Ismail was knocked out instantly in combat, fortunately, they had Ayimar Nur, adept in the Twin Mirror Ceremony.

Alongside the "Flawless Mirror Wall," Ayimar Nur had promptly prepared "Group Solid as Rock" and "Cold Immunity Barrier," and was preparing "Group Steel Mind" to resist potential ntal attacks.

The forr could resist the impact of waves, while the latter could mitigate the damage from the Abyssal Celestial Envoy’s icy sea water itself.

With these structures, plus Mahid Fran’s healing... the Abyssal Celestial Envoy seed less aggressive in its attacks, perhaps they stood a chance of defeating it before it went fully berserk?

The Benevolent Lords had already begun dreaming such dreams.

However...

At this mont, the Benevolent Lord preparing Truth Thunder suddenly pointed an Instant Death Spell, capable of erasing Phantom Demons, at the dancing Mahid Fran.
