When the plot-skips players into the game world Chapter 1553 - 250: Bai Ke Prodeno
The next mont, a sweet white mist enveloped the land.
Not only the Third Ring — even the Second Ring below beca gradually shrouded in the dense white mist. Then the mist continued to sink and spread, slowly descending into the First Ring, and even to the outskirts’ oasis.
The thirsty slaves, wounded, or weak people regained their vitality under the nourishnt of the white mist. The air was no longer scorching hot but beca moist and clean, as comfortable as strolling in a garden after rain.
When the mist dispersed, Aiwass’s carriage had mysteriously vanished. Along with it, Bai Ke and his guards were gone too.
At this mont, the entire land had beco moist. Like a torrent of rain washing the whole city clean.
It was not the Abyss Water summoned by the Benevolent Lords, carrying a faint sll akin to soaked corpses mixed with earth... but sweet nectar like honey.
Recalling the previous prophecy of the "King of Indigo," people imdiately realized what had happened.
The atmosphere instantly beca fervent — people frantically knelt on the ground, kissing the thin layer of water like a shadow, sipping this strange clarity and sweetness.
Ordinary people might not realize the problem here.
However, the Third Ring comprises of notable figures aware of many secrets; they understand the difficulty behind this matter—
Only the First Source River possesses the authority of Creation, just like how Fog Demon needs water but can generate fog out of thin air.
Even the Benevolent Lords can only summon the bathwater soaked in Abyssal Celestial Envoy from the Great Abyss, for even the Abyssal Celestial Envoy cannot create matter out of nothing.
Yet, Fog Sky Departnt, as the new Celestial Marshal of the Blood Celestial Marshal’s Path of Love, is the current master of the Source River of Creation!
Aiwass originally just wanted to spread his blood through the "humidifier," as a gesture of praise, blessing, and gift to those who greeted him... but did not expect Fog Sky Departnt to consu all this blood.
——In a completely unconscious state, Aiwass unwittingly perford a Shepherd’s Nurturing Skill on Fog Sky Departnt!
After tasting the blood sacrificed by Aiwass, Fog Sky Departnt felt an unusual delight. She joyfully employed her true skills—she generated mist powerful enough to cover the entire Holy Spring City, and even beyond!
If these mists were to condense into dew, it would be the legendary "Spring of Life." Although it doesn’t possess the rumored ability to grant immortality and eternal beauty, it can indeed heal nearly all injuries because it was once one of the Banquet Master’s powers.
As the Banquet Servant of the Banquet Master, the divine power initially controlled by Fog Sky Departnt was to provide wine and sweet springs!
This was the divine spring used by the Banquet Master to entertain guests, and it indeed becos a true miracle in the Material Realm—not to ntion Fog Sky Departnt was overly diligent, spreading drinks originally ant for the hero’s banquet of the Banquet Master throughout the whole city.
——It even soaked the sandy ground outside the oasis, making it appear as if enveloped by shadows.
In Parthia, where water is more precious than life, most people would never see what would happen if sufficient water was poured onto sand... it would be deed desecration of the water source, and one would be thrown into a salt pool to die of dehydration.
Thus, to them, they could only liken it to "sacred shadows covering the land."
Those who were not qualified to enter the Second Ring, including civilians and slaves... and even the wanderers not eligible to enter the city-state, also recalled the miracle previously manifested by the "King of Indigo."
They knelt on the ground, using their tongues to touch the "sand imrsed in shadows."
This was absolutely impossible in the past—
"The taste of honey, it truly is the taste of honey!"
Soone shouted.
Shouted hysterically, half-crying and half-laughing.
Not for the moisture and sweetness on their tongue, but for the approaching prophecy.
Seeing people’s almost mad behavior, so who originally did not believe started to hesitate.
So tried tasting it, so touched with their fingers—the cold, moist unfamiliar sensation made their hair stand on end.
In the First Ring, a female Benevolent Lord riding atop an elephant also witnessed this scene.
She looked sowhat bewilderedly at the people’s fervor, murmuring softly: "The prophecy... is it really going to co true?"
"Impossible, beautiful Mahid Fran!"
The Benevolent Lord on the desert ship heard her low murmur yet declared firmly, "We all know ’Parthia’ is just a lie, don’t deceive yourself! Winged Ones had long lost the Prophet’s authority when Parthia was first established—you know this!"
But rather than refuting Mahid Fran, he seed to be explaining to himself.
His words were extrely firm, yet concealed a deep unresolved confusion.
As for the guards and followers of the Benevolent Lords, they dared not speak up.
They bowed their heads as low as possible, maintaining Silence, fearing their master would notice them and ask "What do you think."
——Even those concubines and confidants highly regarded by others secretly yearned for the existence of the "Savior" in their hearts.
On another side, Aiwass was unaware of the uproar and disputes here. Even Bai Ke and his followers knew nothing of what had transpired here.
Under the cover of the white mist, they had quietly flown into the air and left the area. Led by Bai Ke, they headed to his current temporary residence.
"Go ahead and introduce yourself to us again, Mr. Bai Ke."
Aiwass said with a smile.
Mu and Zhu Tang ca forward as well.
They never expected to encounter a forr comrade they shared life and death with in such a foreign land.
"Indeed," Zhu Tang chid in, "Without your saying, no one knew you held such a high status!"
On hearing this, Aiwass couldn’t help but glance at Zhu Tang.
——Aren’t you the sa?
But then again... most mbers of the archaeological team were well-known powerful individuals. With such strength and the confidence to visit ancient ruins, their social status couldn’t be too low.
"Insect Amber" and "Wandering Knight" were legends in their respective fields, Sine was the chief disciple of the Mage Tower Master and future master of Mage Tower, Zhu Tang was the chief Ritual Officer of the Primordial Empire. Only Little Cat and Mr. Mu had no foundations, but that was due to their young age, and they were geniuses at least.
Now it seems that indeed "Bai Ke" is not simple either.
"There was no need... I forgot to introduce myself to you, my real na is Prodeno. Please call by my na."
Bai Ke, also known as Prodeno, smiled wryly, and humbly lowered his head and said, "This robe, I only got after my return. I must thank you, Your Holiness. If it weren’t for you giving the opportunity, I’d never have a chance to beco an Amon Priest."
"Amon?"
Zhu Tang curiously asked, "Wasn’t it Adon?"
"Adon God is the Dawn Celestial Marshal," without needing Bai Ke to explain, Aiwass said, "And Amun God is the Second Sun we saw—the one slain by rituals and words."
"I surely am far from qualified to be an Adon Priest," Prodeno said, "But since I personally witnessed the existence of Amun God and brought back imnsely valuable lost knowledge, I was promoted to Amon Priest. From now on, I am responsible for sacrifices and tributes to Amon."
With his detailed explanation, Aiwass and Zhu Tang finally understood what had transpired—
As Dream Traversing Monks, they have a "brain-library network." Therefore their status is determined largely by "contributions."
The "video materials" Prodeno brought back were of great value—he has beco the primary researcher of Amon in the country, even bringing back many ancient lost runes.
Although part of the archaeological results needs to be co-shared with Professor Bard, Horus People don’t really mind this... they care more about the collection and preservation of knowledge than the academic title.
This achievent was enough to promote him to High Priest. Among Horus’s nine High Priests, the Adon Priest holds the highest status equivalent to a pri minister. The rest of the priests are responsible for a departnt while making sacrifices to the nine deities.
Among them, Amon, as the only deceased deity amongst the nine, is responsible for "history."
"I ca to Holy Spring City this ti as a scribe... to record this unprecedented event."
Prodeno stated solemnly, "And I also bear another mission—
"If the Abyssal Celestial Envoy descends, I will join the battle."
These words may sound too ambitious, but Aiwass knew Bai Ke was no arrogant person.
However, seeing Prodeno’s deanor at this mont, he appeared so earnest, proud, and confident.
As if he really possessed so Strength that could stop the Abyssal Celestial Envoy.
