Parthian Ancient Country, Rock Cellar City.

It had been two days since the three Demons were banished back.

During this ti, Aiwass’s convoy had not entered the Rock Cellar City but continued to wait outside the city. Aiwass, accompanied by several Ritualists, entered to study the ritual. He also brought Sherlock to help cast curse resistance spell defenses.

Although the Troll Wizard who continuously used "Curse Nova: Petrification" as the ritual array’s base had been dealt with by Aiwass — by the way, Aiwass nad that skill since he didn’t know what it was called — there were still remnants of the active curse.

As the ritual base, the Troll Wizard’s soul was almost burned out.

In fact, even if Aiwass didn’t intervene, the Troll Wizard would probably burn out in so ti... say one or two weeks, and then die completely, turning into ashes.

Aiwass killing him truly gave him relief, allowing his soul to enter the Dream Realm.

Even entering reincarnation with fragnted information is better than total annihilation. And perhaps so Celestial Marshal might take an interest in him.

Those three Ritualists, although guarding here was to liaise business, also bore the responsibility of protecting the Troll Wizard to prevent him from being killed prematurely.

—Since the enemy didn’t want him dead, Aiwass decided to let him die.

It was because of the Troll Wizard’s premature death that the ritual was abruptly interrupted before its complete completion.

If the ritual had gone as planned, once it was fully completed, the petrification state should have beco permanent. It was precisely because the ritual was interrupted that those petrified had the possibility of being rescued by conventional ans.

Although Aiwass could also beco a Sin Beast and forcibly resurrect the Troll Wizard to have him seek revenge, or lift the petrification on the entire city... he ultimately did not use such a clever trick.

On one hand, because he had Isabel by his side, he wasn’t alone and unencumbered; on the other hand, Aiwass was also deliberately guarding against his Path’s influence, deliberately avoiding overly dedicative acts to suppress the depth of his Path of Devotion, striving to balance the Path Power.

Also, these things held little aning.

After all, this Fourth Level Ritualist had little chance of successfully avenging against a Sixth Power Level fellow higher Transcendent on the sa Path, and Aiwass couldn’t be sure he was absolutely reliable and not brainwashed... and if it was just to state a stance, the three transford into Demons Ritualists were enough.

The petrification curse in the city, once the array base was destroyed, was not so difficult to break—in two days, after Aiwass, Zhu Tang, and Ibn researched, they found the ritual’s weak points.

This curse ritual had two cores.

One was the Troll Wizard whom Aiwass had killed. He was the most important array base, used to continuously mobilize the power stored in the ritual, transforming and condensing it into the curse nova, thus covering the city with the petrification curse.

Besides that, the other core—the fundantal of the ritual’s establishnt—was the signed transaction slate.

The theory behind this ritual was simple.

It used Parthian traditions to view the "city" as the property of the Benevolent Lords and, further, as an extension of the Benevolent Lords’ self. And when the other party "agreed" to sign the contract, it was equivalent to ceding property in the owner’s na and taking responsibility for one’s words and deeds in their na, achieving a no-second-verification closed loop.

This petrification power was not provided by the Benevolent Lord of Heaven City; it indeed ca from the Amber power. What the Benevolent Lord did was to pay the price of communicating with the Amber in advance, thereby leveraging Amber’s power...allowing the contractor’s will to reach Amber directly.

Just by signing a na, one could borrow the power of the Pillar God—this was indeed a genius ritual.

anwhile, he ensured through the contract that the power supplier and the contract signer did not communicate with each other; and used the Troll Wizard as the ritual core, turning the originally gentle, readily interruptible Amber power that slowly solidified the entire environnt into a violent, instant-onset, high-priority force able to actively counter Extraordinary power, targeting the living with the petrification curse to achieve an "instant completion" thod.

Because the contract signer was completely petrified at the first instant, he himself could not annul this operation thod. And since he didn’t say to stop, Amber would keep supplying power ceaselessly until everything was completely solidified.

Even though the Troll Wizard as the power converter was already damaged, since the ritual signer hadn’t objected, Amber would not reclaim the already output power.

—If it were another Pillar God, such an operation would certainly not be feasible. Even if it was unclear at the first mont, as long as soone prayed and complained, they would know what had happened.

But Amber happened to be asleep, and her authority was running in automatic mode, like a machine... The Benevolent Lord of Heaven City found this "divine authority auto-run system" bug.

"From the Ritualist’s perspective, he truly is a genius."

Zhu Tang praised, "And audacious—this is the highest form of complint for a ’Wizard’."

"If it were soone else, it really wouldn’t be easy to lift this curse."

Aiwass sighed, "After all, he had already transford pure Amber power into an Amber curse."

The original BUFF turned into a DEBUFF, thus making both the resistance and removal require a Seventh Level initiator priority contest.

—Yet aside from Aiwass and Grey, how many people in the world possessed the dispelling ability with Seventh Level priority?

But this move could not trouble Aiwass.

Because when dealing with the Holy Nation’s Nephrite Disaster, Aiwass had already previewed this lesson—

The essence of this matter was similar to but opposite to the Elf’s Amberficate; Adil intentionally made the opponent want to dispel this state, forcing them to resist, while Amberficate’s principle was not to resist, becoming an undispellable BUFF.

But whether BUFF or DEBUFF, Aiwass happened to have the ability to remove them.

Which was the Sin Thorn.

Back then, Aiwass discovered that the fruit borne on the Sin Thorn could dispel and heal the Amberficate state. It was essentially a blessing-dispelling ability, expelling the Blessing from the Spirit Amber Celestial Marshal.

Now, Aiwass beca a Sin Beast, generating lots of Sin Thorns. By setting up a new ritual with these Sin Thorns... he channeled the Sin Thorn’s power into every person in the city. This was equivalent to attacking them with Sin Thorns, triggering the Sin Thorn’s ability to "seal Extraordinary power," forcefully dispelling this curse.

However, Aiwass, through the ritual, transford this "attack" into a "blessing," so he didn’t oppose any power outside the curse. Thus, this ritual wouldn’t actually harm those people with Sin Thorn power, lting away their professional level—even though Aiwass indeed could do so.

This was the inspiration Adil gave to Aiwass.

The sa ritual theory, reversed, could often beco the reversing principle of another side.

Of course, Aiwass was also worried... after all, Sin Thorn was very likely a force from the Void.

But he eventually abandoned this worry.

—Power has no inherent good or bad, as long as it can be used.

Thus, as the ritual began to operate...

The entire petrified city was covered with black, shadow-like void brambles.

And the sepia petrification traces began to be gradually dispelled and lted within the influence range of those Sin Thorns—
