After hearing the story of the "Mad King", or rather the "Swan King", Aiwass furrowed his brows slightly.

He reached out to touch his chin, lost in thought.

Sherlock didn’t interrupt Aiwass’s contemplation either. Everyone at the table remained silent, quietly awaiting Aiwass’s opinion and evaluation.

"...I have two questions."

Suddenly, Aiwass asked: "First, what is the Swan King’s power level?"

Since people referred to the Swan King as the "perfect creation of the Gemini Mirror", and even considered him the "Earthbound Apostle" in human form.

Doesn’t that an the Swan King himself is quite a powerful transcendent?

After all, in this world... usually, the more insane soone is, the stronger they are. Because their madness is likely to an a strong adaptation to the Path, and once they have adaptability, it ans they can progress along the Path faster than others, and their upper limit is much higher.

Although ordinary people, even with strong adaptation, may not find mystical tos and hence cannot beco transcendents; as long as a transcendent has high adaptability, they only need to successfully complete the ascension ceremony to beco an Upper Transcendent. And as long as their Path is not banned locally, having a high energy level ans they can naturally acquire more advanced mystical knowledge.

—And the Swan King is indeed a real king.

Not to ntion that the Path of Beauty is the Iris family’s inherited path. Even when Avalon’s royal family was at its most difficult tis, Princess Isabel still had Sherlock to assist her ascension; and the princess of Star Antimony had the expert Clown Laro to escort her.

Being a monarch of a country, the ascension ceremony cannot be a stumbling block for the Swan King. With his adaptability, his energy level must not be low.

Sure enough, Sherlock’s lips curled slightly.

It was clear that Aiwass had hit the nail on the head—

"Fourth Power Level."

Sherlock replied, "The monarch, only twenty-six years old, had already reached the Fourth Level at the age of twenty-three."

—That was an era when the power of transcendence had yet to surge.

This pace of ascension made him a candidate for the Black Chancellor level in Star Antimony! He was already a nationally recognized rising star... Even the granddaughter of the Assassin Master, who was devoured by the Shadow Demon and lost her voice, Croix de Ciliere, a genius in the Hawkeye Organization, lagged behind by years.

"Fourth Level..."

Arsene murmured, "That’s already quite strong."

He himself was a Fourth Level transcendent of the Path of Beauty, so he understood well what a Fourth Level transcendent could achieve.

Not to ntion, the Path of Beauty was particularly adept at escaping. Whatever the profession, survival was always straightforward. Their survival capabilities were even stronger than those transcending the Path of Adaptation.

Thus, Arsene imdiately sensed sothing was wrong: "But if that’s the case... how did Louisov capture the Mad King?

"...Could he be Fifth Level?"

Fifth Power Level... there were only a few among the entire Iris family.

If he indeed was Fifth Level, it was no wonder that the dukes believed he had made a move. Eliminating the obvious Son of the Moon, it left only Hawkeye, the Art Association, and the factions belonging to the three grand dukes. The dukes themselves might not be Fifth Level, but there was at least one Fifth Level individual within each duke family. Without that, they wouldn’t have the power to control armies and attract talent.

The power among the three grand dukes was balanced. If one lost their Fifth Level protector, their talents and resources would inevitably be absorbed by the other grand dukes.

"This is my second question."

Aiwass asked, "Are there any traces of battle between the Swan King and Louisov?"

Even if Louisov’s whereabouts were uncertain—even if he vanished after the parliant’s establishnt, at least the traces left behind should be investigated. Whether in Avalon or Star Antimony, any details of such a significant event would be thoroughly investigated and docunted. Path traces are notably easy to detect...

It’s a widespread technology, and even the lowest second ability level transcendent could probe where path power conflicts occurred. Wisdom, Balance, Adaptation, and Authority path transcendents all have related skills.

"—None."

And Sherlock gave an unequivocal answer without hesitation: "There’s not even a need for a transcendent investigation... because none of the nurous artworks hanging in the Swan Palace suffered any form of damage. The preservation arts used to prevent aging weren’t even disrupted by external forces."

Arsene had the most authority on this matter.

He knew very well that even if he wanted to preserve a painting, gemstone, or ring, he’d have to use special techniques to do so. Those paintings were extrely fragile, and without the "Preservation Arts" coating, they might fade, dampen, crack, or discolor in a few years.

Maintaining constant temperature and humidity in a room was quite troubleso. Although mages and alchemists could develop similar techniques, none were as practical as the Preservation Arts—requiring rely a thin preservation layer.

Wherever they’re placed, in whatever environnt, folded or transported... until the power of the preservation arts is completely exhausted or intentionally broken, the passage of ti has no effect on those fragile masterpieces. They would remain in a state of complete stillness.
