Chapter 1148: Chapter 466 Has the Fallen Celestial Marshal t with Trouble?

When Master Walter first received the call from Miss Sprengel, he was actually quite wary.

—She claid there was an urgent matter to discuss, then provided a secret eting location, requiring him to arrive before sunset—this was all too sudden.

After all, they were all prominent figures.

At the Fifth Power Level, in high positions, they were now the actual center of power in the Antimony Kingdom—since the King was dead and the Queen Consort’s position was unstable, they were the de facto “Monarchs.”

—As such Monarchs, acting in such an urgent and disheveled manner, does this make any sense?

Not to ntion, this ambush-like gathering… really seed like a trap. For a doubting and vigilant Transcender, he had to wonder if Miss Sprengel intended to make him a ritual sacrifice.

But soon after, Master Walter received a call from Lady Marasia.

The kind and dignified old lady confird with Master Walter if Miss Sprengel had called him—the answer was, of course, yes.

And it seed Miss Sprengel revealed more information to Lady Marasia.

—It seed sothing went wrong on the Fallen Celestial Marshal’s side.

This news sent a chill through Master Walter’s heart.

They were undoubtedly at a disadvantage now. They had agreed with the Princess to establish the nation on May 1st.

At that ti, the Royal Court controlled by the Son of the Moon would inevitably suppress them as rebels and traitors. In such fierce conflict, those nobles and ministers with blurred stances would have to take sides—that’s the lesson they learned from Avalon.

Once the Ring of Ouroboros ritual takes place, strength and weakness will reverse. In this way, they can invalidate the opponent’s legitimacy in one fell swoop, and root out and eliminate the unsettling elents within themselves. But if the Ring of Ouroboros ritual cannot be held as scheduled, or has to be postponed… they could even be driven out of Xingti by the practice-hand Sons of the Moon and Alchemists!

After all, those Sons of the Moon and the foreign Sons of the Moon are connected, while they are isolated and without support!

This allowed Master Walter no ti to waste, and he imdiately dressed, called for his driver, and set off.

Fortunately, the roads in Lionheart City had long been repaired, enabling the car to race towards the destination at an incredible speed.

The location of this gathering was the basent of a bar that hadn’t opened for many years.

The bar was nad “Pelican,” with a graffiti of a pelican swallowing a fish whole painted on the entrance—Master Walter rembered it used to be quite a bustling place in his childhood. Later, it quietly went out of business.

Later he discovered it was an asset of Miss Sprengel. Occasionally during Rose Cross gatherings, they would et in this seemingly decrepit and deserted bar’s basent.

Unlike the desolation outside—first enter the underground storage room, then continue downward from a secret door in the storeroom. Through the winding stairs, they finally arrived at a dry, bright, and warm gathering place.

Lady Marasia had already been there for so ti.

The woman dubbed “the richest old lady of Xingti,” controlled almost all the grain supplying the entire Antimony Kingdom. It’s said that with just a wave of her hand, the wheat spilling from her sleeves could feed an entire city. She was also, apart from the goblins and the Royal Family, the only entrepreneur who simultaneously controlled more than three banks.

As for the richest person in Xingti—so believed it was Prince Heinrich, also known as Count Leipzig.

But so claid Prince Heinrich’s wealth stemd from counterfeiting, as he could never clearly explain the near-infinite money he possessed; whereas Lady Marasia was a true tycoon.

Almost every herbal store, grain shop, and most pharmacies and parts shops in Xingti, a fifth of the banks and real estate companies, carried the “Lucky Clover” mark. That indicated they belonged to Lady Marasia’s comrcial force, with ample supply.

This kind elderly lady extended her business reach into every corner of Xingti. Her business thod was quite simple—reduce costs.

She possessed enough resources to easily crush the market at prices others couldn’t possibly secure through resource integration. If she maintained that price, no one else could participate. Though it was a monopoly, it yielded little profit and fostered corruption.

Yet she chose to gradually raise the prices, allowing others a share—as Transcenders cannot stop newcors from surpassing them.

While everyone focused on this “easy money” industry, she would consolidate another new track with enough funds and resources, annex everyone inside, and then repeat the cycle.

She feasted on the at upfront while others trailed behind sipping the soup. Competing with her was nearly impossible under that simple and straightforward price war—once she outlasted her peers, she would buy them out as well.

Until the goblin era arrived, her business model was almost invincible. It was a healthy model, so Xingti’s business developnt was relatively good.

—Until the goblins ca.

The goblins initially employed strategies no different from Lady Marasia’s. But while Lady Marasia’s advantage lay in her near-total consolidation of Xingti’s industries, the goblins were wealthy—they possessed almost infinite money.

In matters like these, the goblins’ interests were aligned. Lady Marasia was confronted not with a single Goblin rchant, but all the goblins’ assets—she lost for the first ti in a tug-of-war.

And she wasn’t willing to be drained by the goblins—so she simply let them in.

Lady Marasia realized the goblins would eventually break Xingti’s economy. And by then, the ones bearing the losses would certainly not be her.

Since then, Lady Marasia maintained a low profile. She never confronted the goblin rchants directly, letting them degrade Xingti’s economy. The goblins wisely avoided clashing with Lady Marasia too, consensually handing over a portion of the cake to her—even without any communication.

Now, when the hatred towards goblins is huge, Lady Marasia beca a savior in the people’s eyes.

One could say, every Xingti citizen fondly rembers the Marasia era!

Yet what people do not know is…

This “Lady Marasia,” was once a protégé and student of Miss Sprengel.

But at this mont, Master Walter realized another matter.
