When the plot-skips players into the game world Chapter 1136: 458: Key of Predation (Combined) 3
Chapter 1136: Chapter 458: Key of Predation (Combined) _3
Upon hearing this, Aiwass suddenly saw the light!
This was invaluable intelligence.
Nurous unsolvable enigmas unraveled in an instant—
Aiwass almost grasped everything!
Why the behavior of the Serpent Celestial Marshal seed so disconnected from his ancient past, so obsessively intent on leaving this world; why the Pillar Gods kept betting on Aiwass but none of them tried to strike against the Serpent Celestial Marshal prematurely; why the Shepherd ultimately forgave and spared the Fallen Celestial Marshal and sacrificed his own life to sabotage the Serpent Celestial Marshal’s plan; and…
Aiwass’s system!
— It was subtly different from his initial speculation before entering the Tower of Heaven.
Now, he could basically debunk the hypothesis that “the system originates from the Serpent Celestial Marshal’s mories” — because the birth and destruction of the Tower are intimately tied to the Serpent Celestial Marshal, almost as if there’s nothing unrelated to him. In this context, how could elents from his mories truly exist in this place?
Thinking carefully, there’s another matter—
During Aiwass’s brief tenure as Cardinal Archbishop, he glimpsed a phrase from the [Cardinal’s Validation] robe he had just forged:
[“—Hey, hey, hey? Can you see this line?”]
He had already ruled out the possibility that this line ca from the Lord of Scalefeather, but now… its playful tone didn’t seem like sothing left behind by the Serpent Celestial Marshal either. Instead, it was more like Aiwass himself… albeit a more lighthearted version of Aiwass.
Aiwass wasn’t repelled by the idea of having a system, because he possessed mories of the ga “Ring of Ouroboros” during his ti on Earth. In other words, it was all within his realm of understanding.
But a question arose.
The ga contained “Jas Moriarty.”
But Jas returned from the apocalypse!
He had only experienced one lifeti, and it was the sa lifeti where the Serpent Celestial Marshal chose to embody the “Endless Knot,” without initiating the Ring of Ouroboros ritual!
—If his experiences matched the ga perfectly, then what about the previous seven lifetis of Aiwass, who shared the sa mories? How did they co into being?
Jas clearly held no profound mories of Aiwass; otherwise, his attitude toward him wouldn’t have been what it was. But if Aiwass truly had apocalyptic mories along with a system enabling rapid learning, there was no reason he wouldn’t have risen to prominence as a significant figure.
In other words, it suggested that in past lifetis, Aiwass likely had neither a system nor mories of the “Ring of Ouroboros”!
What originally seed logical—those “past life mories”—now shattered like countless fragnts of broken glass.
From this perspective… that left only two possibilities.
The first possibility was that those “Aiwasses” without systems or “Ring of Ouroboros” mories had always been regarded as “sacrificial lambs” from the beginning. They weren’t special, just like the other discarded “snake skins.”
Even nine lifetis wouldn’t have been enough for Aiwass to master such a breadth of professions and items, or to cultivate a nearly flawless system ahead of ti. Therefore, the system might have been constructed from all the “snake skins” split by the Serpent Celestial Marshal; and unlike this lifeti, it surely wouldn’t have been limited to just the Shepherd and Aiwass, with no extra snake skins involved.
The second possibility was that the storyline of the “Ring of Ouroboros” as rembered by Aiwass had never existed from the start.
This was clearly impossible—because even the Serpent Celestial Marshal’s own actions aligned with the predictions of the “ga storyline.”
And if this possibility was ruled out…
Despite the Serpent Celestial Marshal’s overt hostility toward Aiwass and his repeated attempts to usurp his body, he never acted decisively; even though he knew Aiwass had already devised a counter-strategy against the Ring of Ouroboros, supported by nurous Pillar Gods, he still planned to execute everything step by step, as if oblivious to the situation…
All these bizarre behaviors suddenly found their explanation.
—He was trying to “replicate” the ga storyline!
Those “snake skins,” which Lucifer said contained “the most important fragnts of mory,” prompted the question: What was the most vital mory for the Serpent Celestial Marshal?
It was his identity as a transmigrator—his proof of having co from an otherworld!
Through continuously dividing his transmigrator mories into pieces within the Material Realm, he nurtured an unwitting “transmigrator,” only to later battle and devour that counterpart. Through this cycle, he endlessly emphasized “who I am,” in fear of forgetting himself amidst the long loops of reincarnation.
Though the Serpent Celestial Marshal lived through nine lifetis, in a certain sense he may have only truly lived through three…
Back in that era, there was no Savior Jas from the future, nor any romantic bonds between Aiwass and the Serpent Celestial Marshal. He ascended from ancient tis as a Celestial Marshal, beca the Pillar God “Ring of Ouroboros,” yet he was entirely incapable of saving the world…
It was likely during that ti that the Serpent Celestial Marshal realized sothing.
Subsequently, he planned ticulously… guiding the Fallen Celestial Marshal onto the “correct path,” bringing Jas back from the final day of the apocalypse, granting the Holy Entity to Jacob for partitioning… awakening Aiwass alongside his system, cultivating the most vital chess piece.
—The key’s greatest trait lies in how flawlessly it fits.
If the lock were replaced, perhaps the key would cease to function.
But this particular key could never be replaced… it was the Serpent Celestial Marshal’s “true self!”
Thus, the Serpent Celestial Marshal reverse-engineered a lock for the sake of this key!
Preparing the stage, the script, the actors, everything—all to replicate the sights seen within the ga, until the actors took the stage—and then smashing everything to pieces.
He dared neither to directly kill Aiwass nor to outright possess him… simply because he worried that excessive interference might introduce a bug into the “script!”
In that mont, Aiwass recalled a line he had once spoken to Professor Moriarty:
“—If I were a key, then I would ultimately be a Key of Predation.”
Back then, Professor Moriarty had smiled brightly.
At the ti, Aiwass had no idea what he was laughing at… but now, it seed he understood.
The professor might not have known the “history” he hadn’t lived, but he was the one most adept at sensing the marks of fate being tugged and altered!
He had realized that the fate of this world was being manipulated, and he had ultimately discerned that “the ultimate key” rested with Aiwass.
Thus, when Aiwass uttered those words, he laughed so joyfully!
“My friend.”
At this mont, Lucifer spoke gently: “If you lack courage or strength… then accept my gift.”
“When you stand before the serpent, please deliver a ssage for . Tell him that I have never hated him.”
As he spoke, his figure gradually grew faint and disappeared.
Behind him, the three pairs of solid, golden-embellished white wings fell to the ground one by one with tallic clangs.
Lucifer’s residual voice continued to echo in the air:
“I am rely sorrowful—we could have faced the apocalypse together; he needn’t have been so alone… so lonely that madness consud him…”
