When the plot-skips players into the game world Chapter 1047: 385: This Grudge Game!
Chapter 1047: Chapter 385: This Grudge Ga!
The center of this ceremony should be Aleister.
Aiwass was brought here thanks to the special connection with Aleister… and everyone else should also have so sort of direct or indirect relation to Aleister, with most of them being Stibnite.
Now Stibnite is in total disarray, and there’s a fire burning between them.
And with the mories previously passed on by Aleister, Aiwass was able to confirm the identities of these people.
The old mage should be from the Narcissus Duchy. He is the only one among all present who carries his main-hand weapon – this ans that he crafted the magic wand himself. Aside from Aiwass and Aleister, he should be the strongest here.
…And the one in ragged attire should be “Clown Laro” ntioned by Prince Xiyaldo.
He is one of the most trusted court jesters by Valentine VII, a rare sage in the court.
Sotis he’d use a spell to make his hair explode into a cauliflower-like shape, signifying that he’s “in over his head”; other tis, it’s a near half-ter high ponytail resembling a potted plant, suggesting he is as inconsequential as a plant.
When others are still asuring their words, Laro has always been blunt and straightforward.
He would sarcastically tease Valentine VII to his face, and in front of the King, scold the others. Considering, “You can’t possibly take a jester seriously,” no one would make a real fuss with Laro—it would be utterly unseemly. After all, he claims to be a clown—how can you possibly argue with a madman, with a jester?
If soone couldn’t hold back and gets teased by Laro’s pointed sarcasm, they end up being laughed at by others.
But if you forcefully swallow your anger and argue with Laro, you’ll likely lose the debate… because what he says does indeed make so sense.
For this reason, although Laro appears to be a mad and frenzied clown, he is actually respected—feared, even. At least Prince Xiyaldo values him highly… even though he frowns at the ntion of him, he still forces himself to offer a quite favorable assessnt.
And in this misfortune that befell Valentine VII, Laro disappeared in advance.
So say he’s dead, casually killed by The Red Chancellor, with no place to bury his body, not even a corpse to be seen… Others say he helped the Royal Family escape because several other children of Alfonso Valentine also vanished.
At least now it can be confird that he is not dead.
Laro sat securely in his chair, shouting, “Your crazed mistress killed the King and ruined Stibnite! Look up, is this the Stibnite you wanted? A bunch of parasitic vampires, not even looking at themselves in the dirty ditch that is their rightful place!
“Ah ha, if it weren’t for your mistress dying quickly, your father would have been chopped down by him too! Then let everyone see how he would desecrate you in front of your father’s coffin, mocked just like the parasite who stole Louise’s skin!”
“—Insolent!”
Andrea Walter, who was verbally attacked with a string of insults upon eting, finally ca to her senses.
Her face turned red with rage as she shouted, “Just wait to die, clown! If father couldn’t kill you, this vermin, then today I will bury you here! All of you must die!”
“Aiyo, all of you must die~ then co hit ? Why don’t you hit now? Hit , hit , hit , what’s stopping you? Oh, who arrived later than ? Is it you, Miss Walter? How many fathers do you have?”
“I am your father!!”
The two of them started a direct verbal confrontation, spanning the silent woman in between.
Speaking of which…
Aiwass looked towards the woman who had entered with Laro. Their simultaneous arrival suggested they must be together.
The woman had shiny, black, mid-length, curly hair. Its length, not yet reaching her shoulders, lent her a dignified and neat air… In an era where n commonly had longer hair, this length gave her an almost androgynous sense of authority.
This hair color…
This person should be the daughter of Valentine VII. Judging by her age, she was very likely his eldest daughter—the first child born before Queen Louise beca the Son of the Moon. That would be Prince Xiyaldo’s elder sister, now Princess Noel Valentine of Stibnite.
Path of Balance, advancing from the fourth to fifth level, perhaps?
“…Aurum-Stone Knight.”
Aiwass muttered under his breath.
Hearing his voice, Princess Noel looked up in astonishnt.
Aiwass nodded at her, but obviously—with Laro and Andrea loudly squabbling—there was no chance for Noel to speak with Aiwass in the anti.
At this mont, the Old Mage took the initiative to speak: “You may address as Pelican, Archbishop.”
“I am The Sun,” Aiwass declared to Pelican.
As he spoke, two out of the remaining three individuals also made their appearance, without much delay.
One of them was dressed in the military uniform of Black Hawk, exuding a majestic and solemn aura, his identity clear without question—a “warrior” from Black Hawk.
The other … was an acquaintance of Aleister.
The mont he appeared, he looked straight at Aleister. And Aleister recognized him … even if it was just an indistinct silhouette without clear facial features, the hairstyle alone was sufficient to identify him.
—This was none other than Professor Laximi, whom Aleister had previously seen on the ship, a Fourth Level Necromancer. His specific advanced profession was unclear, but he had reportedly been missing for a long ti. Perhaps he had fled since he was with The Red Chancellor and disappeared following their fall.
What was he doing here now? Did he feel his power was insufficient?
Upon his appearance, Andrea, who was sowhat failing to out-argue Clown Laro, imdiately grasped the opportunity.
Her identity had been exposed by soone, and evidently, she did not wish others to remain hidden—by having everyone’s identities revealed, it was as though none were exposed. At least no one would prioritize attacking her for that reason.
Thus, Andrea turned around and shouted in an attempt to divert the topic: “Odvar Laximi! You traitor!
“We all know it was you who tricked father and Prince Heinrich into the Spirit Summoning Tower! You’re dead, just like that whore from the blood coral!
“We have already sent pursuers after you; do you think you can escape? You will die soon; they are already near you!”
“—Well done, Professor Laximi!”
Laro imdiately used an even louder voice to shout, causing such a ruckus that even “Pelican” frowned and covered his ears: “Don’t be scared, you old scoundrel! Those vampires can’t cross the river; they can only take a boat over! Fire at them fiercely, let them be buried at sea!”
Andrea glared and said, “Pengbonazi will seek revenge against all traitors…”
Laro let out a duck-like sharp laugh, “You are such a pengbonazi, does your wild dad know you’re using his surna? He wouldn’t leave you without a surna now, would he? Oh dear, whose bastard is stealthily using soone else’s surna, so shaful, oh so shaful.”
“You vermin!”
With just two sentences, Laro firmly pulled Andrea’s hatred back towards him again.
It was evident that Andrea, of a lady’s descent, was clearly lacking in her vocabulary. She struggled to hit back at Laro, but it looked more like a one-sided humiliation.
Aleister finally couldn’t help but remark, “This is my first ti seeing a tank profession in the Path of Beauty Transcendent…”
Aiwass nodded in agreent.
——This hatred is firmly anchored indeed.
He had no doubts that, once the ceremony started… Andrea would certainly forget about the pelican that took care of her and head straight for Laro.
And Laro was even able to turn around calmly, explaining to Aleister, “Oh, Old Laro’s profession isn’t a tank. Old Laro’s profession is—Midnight Poet!”
“Do you want to compose a poem for you, beautiful miss?”
“I think that’s a good idea,” Aleister chid in, also adding fuel to the chaos, “Take the death of the Red Chancellor as the the!”
“You bitch…”
Andrea stared back with red eyes.
“——Ah!”
But before she could say anything, Laro’s exclamation pulled her hatred firmly back again, “Pengbonazi, the intoxicant that sparked this wine banquet, a god long dead without a temple!
“I believe that you possess the entire universe within a marble, like a baby omnipotent!
“Unfilial descendants fly away from you like a flock of birds, leaving bird droppings on the shrines of the past!
“Your body buried in the earth, as the winter snow digs you out like an old farr!
“Let the rain wash off your ugly face! And the maggots strip off your clothes…”
“——Laro!”
Andrea scread.
She glared at Aleister and shouted loudly, “You too are a Son of the Moon, you bitch! You have betrayed our father and our race!”
“Oh.”
Aleister replied with a smirk, “Can I just say that every Son of the Moon is an idiot, can you? Dare you?”
“Ah…”
Aiwass sighed and let Aleister go to join the battlefield.
From nine down to eight, now only the last one, presumably the Transcendent of the Path of Authority, was missing.
That said…
By process of elimination, that clown Laro is actually the Transcendent of the Path of Beauty?
Finally, the last Transcendent joined in.
He was wearing a suit, probably a Legal Mage. But it was unclear if he was an Avalonian.
As soon as he appeared, he imdiately introduced himself, “Everyone, I am ‘Sour Wine’…”
But before Sour Wine could finish, he was quickly drowned out by the argunts and curses in the room.
His eyes widened in astonishnt!
——What’s going on here?
It’s his first ti to see such chaos in the waiting room…
Looking for help, he cast his confused gaze at Aiwass beside him, who seed to be the Archbishop and had already made his way back, with Aleister beside him.
After a mont of contemplation, Aiwass diplomatically answered, “One can only say that everyone has their reasons not to lose…”
“…I see, the competition for the New Moon Ritual to ascend to the Fifth Power Level is this fierce!”
Sour Wine nodded gravely, saying, “Thank you, Your Excellency the Archbishop.”
“No need to thank … I am [The Sun].”
“I am [Great Snake], Mr. Sour Wine.”
Having had his fill of cursing, Aleister, lips pursed with a smile, turned to introduce himself to Sour Wine, clearly detached from the situation.
At that mont, the statue in the center couldn’t wait any longer to co to life.
“Stop fighting——”
A voice like that of an angry child rose, silencing all disputes, “Enough is enough!”
Clearly, the “Wings of Life Fire” had already arrived, and might have even co with the Candle Master.
But they couldn’t appear before since not all were present… The noise was giving them a headache.
——Nobody expected that the first to get hurt in this advancent ceremony would be the supervising teacher.
