"It’s nothing really, just that your mother has caught a cold, and it’s quite serious. We’re worried it might be contagious to Faye and the child, since pregnant won shouldn’t use dication," Grandpa said.

The car was very quiet, and even though the speaker wasn’t on, Faye, sitting next to Adrian Lancaster, heard what Grandpa said.

She felt an imdiate pang of concern and asked softly, "A bad cold? Has she seen a doctor?"

Grandpa heard her question and quickly reassured her, "Don’t worry, it’s just a cold. She’s already taking dication."

However, how could the children remain indifferent after hearing this news?

Furthermore, the daughter-in-law is a practitioner of traditional dicine.

Thus, Faye made a gesture to Adrian, who understood, "Alright, I’ll hang up for now. Take care of yourselves."

After the call ended, Faye said to him, "We need to go back and check, illnesses stem from colds, and the sooner treated, the better."

"Can you handle it?" Adrian Lancaster, being sowhat conflicted, worried about his mother but also worried about his wife and child, "Won’t it be contagious?"

She nodded firmly, "I’ll wear a mask and check her pulse; it won’t be contagious."

Adrian thought for a mont, "Okay," he agreed, as he was genuinely concerned about his mother too.

Soon, the Lamborghini stopped in the courtyard of the old house. The thousand-year-old camphor tree still stood lush and dense, even as the snow lted.

Before getting out of the car, Adrian handed Faye a mask to wear.

In the living room, the old man saw the car stop and quickly stood up, rushing towards the door, "Why did you co back? Didn’t I say not to?" He was anxious and angry.

Grandpa was too worried about Faye.

So his face looked stern, as if he was blocking the door to prevent them from entering.

"Grandpa, Mom is sick, we have to co back and see her." Faye, wearing a mask, "We’re all worried about her."

"Grandpa." Adrian Lancaster called softly, his gaze was firm.

The couple stood hand in hand at the door.

They spent a long ti trying to persuade the old man before being allowed in.

"Thank you, Grandpa." After entering, Faye breathed a sigh of relief, "It will be fine, I’m wearing a mask." She reassured again.

"Alright, go ahead, and be careful." Grandpa followed behind them, how could he not be worried?

The couple went to the backyard, upstairs, to Eliza Vance’s room.

She had just taken her dicine, feeling weak all over, and had just lain down.

Seeing her son and daughter-in-law co in, she coughed, struggling to prop herself up, "Why... are you here? Quickly... quickly leave, cough... don’t get infected."

"Mom, please lie down!" Faye hurried over, wearing a mask, and sat down at the edge of the bed, "Let check your pulse." Then she took her wrist.

Eliza Vance, knowing her daughter-in-law’s dical skills were superb, lay down, turning her face away, trying not to breathe towards her.

Faye’s expression remained calm and serene, Adrian Lancaster stayed by her side, and Nanny Warren stood at the foot of the bed.

Soon, Faye let go of her mother-in-law’s wrist, pulled the blanket over her a bit.

Then she stood up and said, "It’s nothing serious, I’ll go get so traditional dicine from Dr. Aiken, just take it on schedule."

Hearing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Faye." Eliza Hayes spoke softly from the bed, "Let Nanny Warren go and get it."

"If Nanny Warren goes, she won’t get a turn; she’ll have to wait until tomorrow." Faye’s voice was gentle, "It’s okay, Adrian and I will go."

And so, Faye and Adrian Lancaster left, the Lamborghini heading to Dr. Aiken’s clinic.

anwhile, the middle-aged woman wearing a hat and scarf returned.

She sat at the counter, sowhat anxiously saying, "Dr. Aiken, his condition is getting worse..."
