When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster Chapter 531: Mother and Son Reunited
My son is actually in Canada??
Eliza Hayes held her phone, staring in shock, montarily doubting herself.
Slowly surveying her surroundings, she didn’t know which direction to go, walking until she was exhausted and out of danger, with her phone almost out of battery.
"Send your shared location," Adrian Lancaster told her, "I’ll co find you." His tone sounded calm.
"Okay..." Her voice trembled slightly.
The call ended, and before Eliza Hayes’s phone ran out of battery, she sent her son the location and activated sharing.
In a clean and tidy hostay.
"Did Adrian’s mom call you?" Faye Turner heard, feeling overjoyed, the happiness almost overflowing from her heart, "Is she alright? Was she hurt?"
Adrian Lancaster looked at his wife, "I didn’t ask." His expression was visibly more relaxed, "But she’s alive." The earlier anxiety was gone.
This was truly a heartening piece of news!
"She sent her shared location." Adrian’s phone chid, he grabbed his coat from the chair, preparing to leave.
"I’m going too!" Faye Turner quickly stepped forward, holding onto his arm, "I’ll go with you!"
"Alright." As he led her out, he checked the location, finding it surprisingly close, only three kiloters away.
Eliza Hayes’s phone automatically shut down due to lack of battery, ending the location sharing.
"Madam..." the subordinate said, "my phone doesn’t have battery either."
"Madam, mine’s out too, it shut down long ago."
Eliza Hayes held her black-screen phone, glanced at them, saying, "We’ll have to wait here, Adrian will co."
The wind picked up, feeling a bit chilly, tousling her already ssy hair. It was cold, but her heart burned warmly.
Her son had actually co to find her!
At this mont, Eliza Hayes felt a happiness she hadn’t experienced in a long ti; every cell in her body seed elated.
As dusk approached, a taxi stopped in front of Eliza Hayes, the door opened, and Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner stepped out.
"Mom!" Seeing her standing there unhard, Faye Turner finally felt relieved, her heart filled with excitent.
Mother and son t each other’s eyes... ti felt like it stood still.
"Young master, madam." Two subordinates respectfully greeted them.
The determination in Adrian Lancaster’s eyes made Eliza Hayes bite her pale lip; tears welled up against her will.
Adrian stood there, staring at her, with many thoughts running through his mind.
In that mont, Eliza realized her son cared about her.
He must have seen the news, learned about the earthquake, and hurried over, leaving work behind.
"Adrian..." Eliza controlled her excitent, calling her son’s na first, a smile on her face as tears uncontrollably rolled down.
Adrian snapped back to reality, "..." yet struggled to call her "Mom," as mories of past years played in his mind like movie clips.
Seeing her safe, seeing her alive, his mind eased, with seemingly little to say.
Dust-covered Eliza Hayes choked back tears, unable to say more, yet tried to ask, "Adrian, why... did you co?"
Adrian turned his face away, didn’t answer, silently shedding his own tears, sniffling.
Debris stretched toward the horizon, distant smoke signaled fires burning; in the signal zone, the surviving locals cried out urgently in a language he didn’t understand, profoundly sorrowful...
"Mom." Faye hurried to her mother-in-law’s side, taking her arm, "Let’s get in the car, the wind’s picking up."
Eliza followed her daughter-in-law’s lead, paused by her son, turning to look at him.
Adrian’s face was also marked by tear streaks.
