Kylie Fletcher decided to make the best of it. The blind date with Evan Sharp had been dragged on for a long ti, and it seed ti to bring it to an end today.

It wasn’t too bad to chat with soone with the last na Sharp and make things clear.

So, she stepped forward.

"Lawyer Sharp, Miss Fletcher is here." Shawn noticed the beauty at the doorway and once again bowed slightly to remind softly.

"Mm." Evan Sharp was flipping through case files, without even looking up.

Shawn smiled and greeted the girl, "Hello, Miss Fletcher!"

"Oh!" Kylie Fletcher walked over with a smile and teased, "Bringing so many case files for a blind date? And an assistant? Is Lawyer Sharp really that busy?"

At this mont, not far away, Byron Moss entered from the back door, sitting behind the screen with an expression of calmness, though his ears were perked up.

He actually didn’t know why he ca over, his legs seed to have a will of their own.

"Busy, very busy." Evan sipped his coffee and asked, "Miss Fletcher, would you like sothing to drink?"

"No, thanks." Kylie sat down opposite him and placed her bag on top of his case files, "Evan Sharp, can’t you find a wife? Why else are you fixated on ?"

Evan scrutinized her, "It seems Miss Fletcher has quite a good opinion of herself."

At this point, even Shawn couldn’t help but speak up, "Miss Fletcher, is there a chance that my boss is also being forced?"

Behind the screen, Byron remained calm despite hearing this.

"Alright then, since we’re both being forced, that makes it easy! Let’s each explain to our families that neither of us is interested in the other! How about that?"

Evan said nothing, silently removing her bag from on top of the files, continuing to organize them.

"Uh..." Shawn felt awkward and asked with a smile, "Should I step out for a bit?"

"No need!"

"No need!"

The two young people almost replied at the sa ti, making Shawn even more embarrassed, regretting not finding an excuse to leave directly.

Evan lifted his eyes to look at her and said, "My grandma is quite fond of you."

"Then how about I marry your grandma?" She responded quickly.

Evan’s expression changed slightly, how impolite! However, Kylie saw no issue with her words.

Shawn tried to suppress a laugh, while Byron behind the screen also relaxed his expression, his eyes finally showing a hint of amusent.

Kylie turned to look out the window. Her father’s car was still parked nearby, apparently, she’d have to sit here for at least half an hour regardless.

Luckily, she had a good temperant, otherwise, it would’ve been unbearably awkward.

Just then, Kylie’s phone sounded. She took it out, her body stiffened slightly, surprisingly it was a ssage from Byron—

He asked—

What are you doing?

Those simple five words, anyone who knew understood, ant "I miss you."

So, Kylie thought, Byron must have known she was coming for a blind date and was finally feeling uneasy, right?

She felt delighted at heart.

Did he really not know what she was doing?

Wasn’t it obviously a blind date right in front of him, dragged out by her father?

As the girl delayed in replying, Byron started to lose his composure. He couldn’t help but peek through the cracks of the screen’s folds to look over.

He saw Kylie typing on her phone, and the man sitting opposite her looked like a business elite, handso and imposing.

As her blind date candidate, his family background must be well-off, at least not as poor as himself.

Just as Byron was lost in thought, the phone in his palm vibrated, Kylie had replied to him—

Free for lunch?

Byron stared at this line, hesitating.

Originally, he should’ve stayed away from her, but today he didn’t manage to hold back and got so close.

Soon, Kylie sent another "?" over.

Forcing Byron to respond.

He was internally making a decision.

Evan, while busy with work, looked up, "Multitasking, are we? On a date yet texting other n?"

Kylie glanced at the table full of files, "Aren’t you multitasking?"

They were evenly matched, so why should anyone mind the other!
