When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster Chapter 322: The Reason for Wanting to Reconcile
The two locked eyes, and Rachel stopped in her tracks.
Then, Dylan walked towards her, and Rachel snapped out of her daze, turned around, and walked away!
Dylan grew anxious, and ran up to grab her wrist, "Rachel!" He halted her steps.
"Let go of !" Rachel forcefully shook him off, but Dylan seed prepared this ti and didn’t let her break free.
Then, he wrapped his other arm around her shoulder, forcibly pulling her toward his car parked by the roadside, "Stop making a scene."
"Dylan, what are you doing? Let go of !" Rachel panicked, furious, struggling intensely, unwilling to go with him or make too much noise and risk being seen by colleagues.
"Rachel, just get in the car, I have sothing to say to you!" Dylan had waited for her for two hours, his tone restrained and voice low, aware that they were in a public place.
Rachel was no match for Dylan’s determination.
So, Dylan pushed her into the passenger’s seat.
Dylan quickly got in the car, while Rachel tried to force open the door, only to find it locked tightly, unable to budge.
After getting in, Dylan didn’t drive the car away imdiately.
He just locked the door and turned to look at her, his expression complex, as if he had many things to say.
Rachel felt speechless and impatient, "What exactly do you want?" She didn’t want to stay with him even for a minute.
"Let’s reconcile," Dylan said with deep emotion.
To her, his words sounded like a big joke!
"Dylan, do you know? Right now, I really don’t think much of you, deceiving between two won, not for love, but for gain!"
After all those years together, she saw right through him in an instant.
"Everyone makes mistakes," Dylan was still trying to excuse himself, handing over his phone, "Check it, I’ve blocked all her contacts."
"That’s not important," Rachel didn’t reach out to take it, but firmly told him, "Wait to receive the divorce agreent."
Dylan got a bit scared, don’t won hesitate for the sake of the children?
Rachel said, "I admit, at first, I was infatuated with you, and I once thought marrying you was the greatest happiness of my life, but now..." She scoffed self-deprecatingly, "I just want to bury you."
Listening to that made Dylan’s face look grim!
He had hurt her, and seeing her this angry, it was understandable to Dylan.
He didn’t lose his temper over the prospect of great benefits. "Rachel, I’m sorry, please give a six-month evaluation period, please believe I will change."
"Cheating only happens zero tis or countless tis."
Rachel hit the nail on the head, "No matter who leaves you, don’t forget, you were originally living alone before they ca, you were, I was, so separating really isn’t a big deal."
She spoke lightly and casually.
Her determination to divorce was so strong that it made Dylan very upset, feeling like she was refusing to drink the toast, only to accept punishnt.
But he really didn’t want to give up on Faye Turner.
This lucky girl had obviously settled into Mrs. Lancaster’s role.
"Dylan, unlock the door, I want to get out!" Rachel held back her heartache, her voice calm, "For the sake of being a couple, I hope we can agree to a divorce, without tearing each other apart, wasting ti or energy."
Dylan was terribly agitated, letting out a heavy sigh, leaning back in his seat, refusing to unlock the door.
Just like this, the two were at a standoff.
Until a strange number called in, Dylan pulled out his phone to take a look and hung up irritably, but soon the person called again.
He thought it was from so company’s HR departnt, even though it was unlikely they’d contact him at night, but he was job-hunting and couldn’t miss any possibilities.
So when the ringtone rang the second ti, Dylan answered, "Hello."
"Dylan, why did you block ?!" On the other end, Vivian was unsettled, "Why does it require both people to agree to be together, but only one to break up? I’m telling you, I don’t agree to break up!"
The car was too quiet at night, and Vivian’s voice was too loud, allowing Rachel in the passenger seat to hear every word she said.
